Please,i don't know if anyone is experiencing same thing i am going through.My madam is having bow-legs,i don't know if it's because she has been forcing herself to walk(she started walking at 7m)though i've complained to the DR and he said i shouldn't worry that it will straighten up as she grows older.But i'm just worried ooo(both mum and dad has no bow-leg oo,no one in my family or his has o)

omogemi: Thanx Jade for d xplanation on d soya and milk. I prepared it for her an hour ago and added one scoop of soya and one scoop of her formula and water to see how her system will take it. Immediately she tasted it, she took it. Though not much, like half d preparatn coz she's teething but i m happy she took it. Thanks a great deal

imurboss: @Jade,thanks alot for taking out time to post all this,i can say i've learnt one or two things from ur post and i'm sure others too must have learnt something. My baby started walking at 7mths and teething at the same time.I introduced milo & golden morn to her at 10+ though i give her in small quantity.Now she's 11mths+ and she understands sit,stand,go & bring that thing,lie down,lol!The only thing that worries me now is that she's having a rough skin,don't really know what to do about that!

naanxie: Am glad i came acroos this! My niece has this boil like stuff on her head and some parts of her body! At first,it doesn't itch,thatz when we took her to d hospital,doctors prescribed some stuffs and calamine lotion but they kept comin! Now they pain her and they are larger in size! Plz what can be d cause

I tried to research on giving chocolate drinks milo or ovaltine to babies and all the info I got says its not good for children under one year. And I am seeing different info here. Pls can you share source of info as I was thinking of ways to make my 8 month old who doesn't want formula to take milk. Thanks

pinkydaisy: Hello mums,,new in here, had my baby on the 16th of May and to God be the glory. It has been from one problem to the other but all is well now, i can boldly come to this thread to learn more.
My baby didn't poop after the initial 4/5 days of mecomium,,,,,,she finally pooped after almost 11 days, come and see screaming and tears in the little angels eyes ,,,,but God being so merciful, she passed poop and has been calmer since then. People said it had to do with my diet but i have been reading online that it happens most times to most babies.

chacha3: @Maran,I neva meant giving him goldenmorn immediately shaa cos there are alot of baby foods so am nt in ahurry to feed him dat,though for my gurl morn morn as she calls it is her favorite it has bn since she was one. I have soaked my guinea corn already,on to pap tins. Just pray it wil suit his body system and friso gold as well. @ Jade, tanx for d clarification hv bought goldenmorn for yrs now and I neva knew abt d 3yrs stuff cos I hv neva checked. I am so so frustrated,today I wil buy dis tomoro I wil keep it aside,hmmmm just SMH. May God help us all,am nt complaining anyway cos I so love my kids.

omogemi: @Jade pls enlighten us more. do u mix milk and soya with pap for ur baby? cos we were told at the Health center to mix pap with oil and with either soya or milk or grounded groundnut or grounded crayfish. but its like u are mixing two ingridents with pap. could u pls tell us how u do it? ho w can one get soya? can one mix soya and milk together?

Bradley Cooper nailed it. One of my favorite parts was when they were scored 5 in the dance and they screamed like they won the award or sth.
please I advise you to watch it again. Maybe you were distracted by your boyfriend or sth.

blank: It is your choice as to where your baby should sleep. I find that having a baby cot is a waste and ends up taking space in your room. However, you have to balance it with the danger of rolling ontop of your baby while sleeping. There are other benefits and disadvantages for both choices. It is your choice. You can do some more research.

Your hospital will give you a list of things to bring to the hospital. You can ask the matron there.

After her birth, i noticed her eyes were kind of off coloured from what am used to seeing in most new borns and drew the attention of the doctor to it but he kept on insisting it was normal, not until after about 24 hours when i noticed her pee was so concentrated and practically screamed the doctor into having a look at her,,,my sisters when she was tested for Jaundice, it was so high(the normal level of Billirubim for infants is about 2 but my baby's was 12 ) they began treatment for Jaundice with photo-theraphy for about 3 days and nights, i was just crying like a baby watching her under the heat of that light Unclad and alone. Her skin got so burnt and she lost so much weight very fast,you could just see her disapearing right before your eyes, worst of all, my milk refused to flow.
When we were finally discharged, i took my angel home preparing to start motherhood in peace, when it was noticed that the baby had more than the usual opening on her skull,,the Yorubas call it Oka,,hope i spelt it right? and the igbos call it ngbuwaisi,,,,,my dears, come and see panicking, everybody kept on bringing suggestions on how to help the skull cover up fast and sincerely i was at my wits end. i just turned to God in prayer and reminded him that his gifts added no sorrows so why am i jumping from one problem to the other with my gift that he has given me.I cried and cried unto God and finally somehow, i received his grace on what advice to listen to and what to discard.
Presently, my angel is thriving and she even smiles now, funny. She is eating fine and gaining the weight, slowly but surely.

Long and short of this is that every mother knows her baby best and should pay close attention to the child, always ask questions and be ready to sieve the responses you receive, discarding the unnecessary advices without being rude. Most of all,,God alone knows these babies best, always ask him for his grace and guidance on how to take care of your baby and please worry less cos God can not bring you this far to leave you.

At first i blamed my sister for the shortages i encounter because she used to do that way before i got married until she swore to me she dosent have access to my money with my wife around. my wife has also been privy to my decision to cut her allowances on several occassions cos of this same issue. until this morning, i discovered yet another shortage and due to a mild fever last nite, i was practically in our room the whole nite. so there was no question of anybody else taking anything in my absence. Ok i was very mad so i grilled her and threatened to make things difficult if i didnt get the money all the while hoping i was wrong about her.
this evening she opened up on how she did it and has been doing it for a while.
my problem is not like she hasnt got money, i make sure of that. she got access to about 50grand right inside our room but couldnt take her hands off my wallet.
i dont know how to handle this; am thinking of pulling a plug on all her allowances except the very basic ones and keeping my wallet far above her reach. I just dont know if its a right move.
If you were in my shoes,what would you do??

chacha3: Hai mums in the house, my baby boy of six months is given me great concerns,I introduced cerelac(wheat wit milk) to him and I noticed his poo has changed,its now a bit watery and it usually pass tru his diapers and stain his wears,also d color is now sort of greenish instead of yellowish as it was d case. Don't know if d cerelac is d cause or I shud change frm wheat to rice or somtin else. Am tinking of taking him to d hosp even,I just don't know. Any mum wit dat kind of experience? Tanx

Am very much aware of this as I worked on it for my Bsc research.
Please endeavor to feed your child the best meal, as what he is fed with today goes a long way to determining what he becomes in future.
