chic2pimp: I can't fully explain why they had to wait for their last match but I think the coach should take a huge portion of the blame. Also considerinf that was pratically the same team Sven took to 3 consecutive quarterfinals and were unlucky to loose two of those games. With Fabio onboard, I see this team reaching the Semis. Anything else should be considered a bonus. I dread to think of the damage the likes of Gerrard,Lampard,Rooney & Lennon would do the Manschaaft's Defence . England will not make it past the quarter finals, and don't let the big names fool you. They had ,Scholes,Bechkam,Shearer,Owen, Seaman, p. Ince, sherringham, Mcmanaman et al in 98 and you know what happened. Same as 02 and last world cup, they suffer a similar faith jinx as the Netherlands, "Big squad- big dissapointment" |

certainly his no nonsense, never give up attitude, he is only playing based on his status at the club |

Ibime: Ancelotti is an idiot. . . his teams are more open to counterattack than a $2 wh0re.
I've been saying all along that I have no confidence in this chap. 1 Serie A title in 9 years with Juve and Milan. . . what else do you expect?
I give up finally. . . am not investing any more emotions in the bumbling Italian idiot. Bros calm down, don't you think players should take responsibilities too, Ancelotti didn't cause the 1st goal ans he sure didn't send our defence upfront leaving Mikel to defend against the pacy bellamy, Terry and carva should have evaluated the situation before hand |

And now we have more drama in the last 3 mins than we have had all day.
Cheese and rice, the Chelsea backline of Terry and Carlvaho were horrendous in their marking for that goal Something has to be done, Terry has been piss poor in the last 5 games or so, that goal was more of a comic relief, very laughable and pathetic at the same time. |

slimshay: did folks even bother to read the reason he decided to opt out. The dude says he doesnt want tension in the dressing room. And this is as major as tensions get. Players will tend to take sides and those who dont will just be looking on with pitiful eyes. Is that the kind of dressing room suituation England wants when they are trying to win their first trophy since forever? Which player doesnt want to go to the world cup? And people are out attacking him as being unprofessional like if he's some programmed machine. Nah but they are more interested in criticizing Bridge's decision. SMH |

~Sauron~: It's not Anelka's fault JT got sodomised by Saha and Diego Milito. The defence and the midfield must also do their jobs for Anelka to be effective. ~Sauron~: The difference is quite marginal. I will have either of them in ma team. They exude so much intelligence than the normal eye sees. Anelka is the king of intangibles. Little touches here n there that split the opposition's defence. ~Sauron~: Because he is more intelligent than your cockroach brain and he knows keeping possession is more important. Drogba gave the ball away more than Anelka last night but of course, there's always a scape goat to be blamed when the general performance is gash. Sauron, you nailed it on the head or as the scousers will say, well in mate |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans Thread : Winners of the FA Cup And League Winners 09/10 by jalether(m): 4:56pm On Feb 26, 2010 |
Anelka holds on to the ball far too long sometimes but he rarely loses possession and brings fluidity, Intelligence and ball retention to the team Drogba on the other hand cannot retain possession to save his own life even at gun point, ball control is -23%, poor vision and too one- dimensional but scores goals and has the physical presence. The fact that Anelka emerged EPL highest goal scorer last season as a centre forward confirms his goal scoring ability and instinct and if played in the right position will score lots of goals plus provide excellent link up and ball retention. with the attribute both players bring to the team, who will you rather drop to the bench if given the chance I know damn well Anelka will be the main anchor man in my attack however opinion differs and that is the beauty of footie |
