PearlStreet:Are you saying that Falana has not sighted the ex parte order document which he claimed was not signed by a lawyer? Ok o. |
The Judiciary should focus on the forged ex parte order used to suspend Onnoghen, and give the Executive a dose of stress, so that the Executive will do things the right way next time. |
Good. The NJC/NBA should instill discipline and maintain one voice. It is because of lack of discipline that the Executive is making a mess of the Judiciary. |
abes:If you agree that democracy is built on separation of power and check and balances, then know that the CJN is special. |
Fuckuignos:It is a good case spoilt by your ' ranka dei dei' president and his cabal. |
abes:CJN is a special appointee whose matter cannot be dealt with without input from the NJC. |

This is what happens when a president does not trust any other ethnic group and religion. Buhari is a president of 'ranka dei dei', who signs anything signable from his fellow 'ranka dei dei'. |
abes:CJN Cannot be suspended by the Executive without consultation with the NJC. ...And now that it has been discovered that the Executive used a forged ex parte order to suspend the CJN, what do you say about the Executive? |
The APC govt and the CCT should be sued by the judiciary for forgery and....... If the Judiciary allows the Executive mess go unchallenged, then lawyers, judges and justices have lost my respect and the respect of the common man. |
Lawyers say CCT ex parte order may be fraudulent: https://www.nairaland.com/4985582/lawyers-say-cct-ex-parte-order Falana in a statement said, “The ex parte order is a suspect document, as the motion ex parte on which it was predicated was allegedly filed on January 9, 2019, while the substantive charge against the Chief Justice was filed at the registry of the Code of Conduct Tribunal on January 11, 2019. Furthermore, the counsel who argued the motion is not indicated in the ex parte order.” On his part, Odinkalu observed, “When a motion is filed in a court or tribunal, it bears the name of the lawyer or person filing it. “The motion has to be formally moved or argued on a date fixed by the court. In this case of #Onnoghen, the motion for his removal bears no name and the order doesn’t say who moved it. “So, to sum things up, #Nigeria’s President @MBuhari, who has no recent memory of having obeyed any court order, purports to procure the removal of the CJN based on a petition that was not investigated, a charge that was not prosecuted and an ex-parte application that was not moved.” Keep supporting a fraudulent APC govt. |

He is the head of an arm of govt and by separation of power, his arm of govt is autonomous and has a procedure for disciplining erring members, which includes, of course referring or advising the executive on next line of action. Sadly, the executive never consulted the NJC but took a unilateral action as if the Judiciary was a department or parastatal under it. Rule of law breached there by the executive. |
NOETHNICITY:If he denied, has he been cleared from the court? No. So he stand accused. |
abes:Forgot Separation of power? ![]() |
NOETHNICITY:Do you know that the CCT Chairman is corrupt and has an over one year corruption case against him still pending? Why is Buhari silent over the corruption of the CCT Chairman but spitting fire on that of the CJN? If you know, you now. |
The JCN and NBA should suspend any member who obeys the Executive without their approval. They should suspend this Tanko immediately, for aligning with the Executive to slight the judiciary. |

Why has Buhari not suspended the CCT Chairman? Because of Buhari's nepotism, of course Buhari is not fighting corruption but just fulfilling a deliberate ethno-political cleansing |

Can Buhari suspend/remove the Senate President? NO. Therefore, Buhari can not suspend or remove the CJN. What Buhari could have done to be on the part of law was to bring up the criminal allegations against the CJN before the NJC and the NASS, and then lobby the NJC and the NASS to vote for CJN removal/suspension. The NASS and JCN should not accept Buhari's desecration of the law! |
