I dnt intend developing that particular place, not now, not even in the future. I've left it for a couple of years now & the value seems to appreciate. I dnt fancy having a single asset in the north central where i recide, reason am considering selling it. I also dnt intend to contribute everything from the sale to his campaign. Well, for me, I will help if I have the money, not selling my property, especially if truly I'm not expecting anything in return. For a level 13 Officer to resign, that means it has sure for him. Why can't you just come up with the money in another way? Isnt the value of the land appreciating?abi e no dey prime location?? I don't feel you need to sell of assets to fund a campaign. That sort of money is usually stashed in an account.

I've been having offers from developers to sell, i just didnt have any reason to cause am ok with my monthly take home. I just felt selling it off would raise a reasonable amount considering how expensive today's politics has become even when u've got good intention.

A frnd in need is a frnd indeed. I can afford to lose that plot of land if he eventualy fails. Seeing him resign his appointment at that level shows the seriousness in it. Hello Nairalanders,. A colleague of mine last week resigned his position at my work place. His decision was due to the pressure & many calls from his people in the north to represent his federal constituency at the National Assembly. So he told me. ( I Was not there).

He was a grade level 13 officer. Due to the level of acceptance of the political party he associates with, am a bit convinced that he'll win the primaries & the election too.
He called me yesterday to ask for financial support & i promise i'll send my contribution this new week.
Now am considering selling a plot of land that i got as a gift from my wife's parents. Am yet to discourse this with my wife cause am afraid she might be so dissappointed with the man she married.
though am optimistic this former colleague will sail through, but am wondering if this is a good decision to make. Am not looking for anything in return if he wins,. I just need opinions from nairalanders before i try to win my woman over on the issue.

Am not a public or foreign affairs commentator so I've got nothing to say about russia vs ukraine... Am just minding my business & concentrating on what puts food on my table!

Bro am not even ready to have kids yet! People have kids when there are comfortable about it. I married my wife earlier cause she ticked all the boxes & i needed to get her off the market before someone else does. My mates are going about their businesses with no one bothering them about marraige & children. I just want to have my peace of mind.

You need to have a one-on-one discussion with your mom explaining the reasons you don't want children at the moment - entirely different from you don't want children at all. If she is someone who respects numbers, show her stats and pictures elucidating reasons why wanton and sometimes, early fecundity is not the right thing. Calmly tell her and your in-laws the benefits of postponed childbearing and a limited number of children (two maximum) will do for the trio (them, your wife and you and children).

My mum that has been spiritualy brain washed. She says family planning is from the devil,. Who says such? Even my father gave birth to me when he was 46yrs old.

Am barely three years into marraige, the least reason i got married to my wife was for making babies.
My wife is going through a family planning method, but my mum and inlaws wont let us drink water.
It is grand children this & grand children that'. Even my own mum i always thought was learned & invoke with 21st century lifestyle has been in the fore front of disturbing our lives.
My wife is barely 26 and pursuing her master's programme to a conclusion & i've been busy traveling & attending various courses to gain speedy promotion & hit the peak of my para-millitary job. Where else would i get the time to start baby-sitting, which i know is a full time job.
Am not just the type to let a house maid take up the responsibility of training my children, this i know has negative effects & may some day backfire.
My mum have even gone ahead to tag this the handi_work of witchcraft. My elder brother has 3kids already, why the cry after my own.
