Very wealthy men alright, but they made their money through corrupt means and rigged the system. The Rockerfellas are the richest family in world even till this day. I disagree with you. Though very rich and of german descent (their initial name was Rockenfeller before they Americanised it), the Richest family in the World is the Rothschild family of Austrian Jewish Ancestry. |

In sincerity, Christian Religion has helped to shape the peoples of the world into highly civilised societies. And that is about it.
At this point and age, Religion can only look back and be satisfied in the much it has done in shaping the world, nothing more than that.

EazyMoh: God bless you FriendNG. I made a comment on that thread regarding this issue. It's disturbing the level of hate displayed against us in this country despite the blatant lies as you expertly outlined almost everyone was agreeing to whatever FFK has vomited. They were again castigating Kwankwaso and Aregbesola for the peace meeting. This so called beheaded Yoruba young name up till today has no name, no family and no one could locate his body. What happened was that a people who have been painted black by the rest of the country were mercilessly massacred more than 30 innocent Hausa people were killed because of an alleged slap. I will not forgive our security agents if FFK is not held accountable to this his hate speech. He shall be given the Mmaikori treatment. And finally I believe we shall just divide this country so that everyone will have a peace of mind. You have my full suppprt @bolded. Everything other thing you've written, im indifferent. |

gidgiddy: That may be your vision, but that is not the vision of IPOB or MASSOB. They have no interest in the politics of Nigeria. What they want is to unite the SE/SS zone to demand a referendum that area In order to realise their ultimate goal, they must have to be interested in the politics of the region. No serious minded organisation shys away from politics, not even the christian church. Let IPOB/MASSOB get seriously involved politically as it is crucial to the realisation of her dreams. The shouldn't leave matters to lukewarm or divergent politicians in the SE, else they are only wasting their time. |

gidgiddy: You dont seem to understand. MASSOB and IPOB are not political organisations neither are they seeking good Governance for anyone. These are not the reasons they were created for. They are only there to seek independence. The ultimate aim is to make an IPOB member president of Nigeria. The best way to biafra is an IPOB member as president of Nigeria. And the best way to make an IPOb member president of Nigeria is by patience. Can you do what the KGB does best? It takes extreme patience. This should be maybe a 16 or 20yrs project. If you cnt do this, then you cant get out, except you want a repeat of 1967. |
Politics › Re: MASSOB Vows To Stop Ofala, New Yam Festivals by jamesversion: 10:31am On Oct 18, 2016 |
gidgiddy: Are you sure you are well? You see IPOB and MASSOB that want their people out of Nigeria and you are suggesting they stay in Nigeria and do what? Staying in Nigeria and controlling the political apparatus of SEastern Nigeria is the first and mist basic step of actualizing Biaf.ra. If IPOB/MASSOB can painstakingly do their homework, get the die-hard supporters as flagbearer for any political position, rally around him to make him win, they know they are making progress. Because if an IPOB member is governor of a state, IPOB members are senators and HOR members, are made ministers, you then multiply it by the number of states in SE, think of what can be achieved. |
Politics › Re: MASSOB Vows To Stop Ofala, New Yam Festivals by jamesversion: 10:25am On Oct 18, 2016 |
Igboid: Which APGA? The same one Obi rode on to over see the massacre and dumping of many Igbo youths inside Ezu river, the same one Obiano currently rides and looked the other way while hundreds of Igbo youths were massacred in cold blood in Onitsha and environment.
The same APGA that Okorocha rode on to power only to decamp to APC. APGA is part of the problem and not the solution. I meant that IPOB/MASSOB should take their activism to another level. They should create a think-tank that studies various Igbo individuals vying for elective positions and then mobilise to support the ones with Igbo interest at heart. The ones who are Igbo to the core should be supported to excel into any elective position, and held accountable to deliver on his promises. Alternatively, IPOB/MASSOB can use the massive goodwill they enjoy in the SE to discreetly present their members as independent candidates and then throw their support behind him to ensure his victory. They should have a plan for the future, something like this Kaduna mafia have done in the north. IPOB/MASSOB should manifest themselves to a cabal whose goal is to ensure Igbo minded people find themselves at every sphere of governance in Igboland. |
Politics › Re: MASSOB Vows To Stop Ofala, New Yam Festivals by jamesversion: 9:04am On Oct 18, 2016 |
I have an Idea for MASSOB and IPOB. They should become very active in local politics. All IPOB and MASSOB members should be card carrying members of APGA and use that platform to elect Igbo-loving members into various elective/political positions across Igboland.
They should use that medium to ensure that they deliver good governance and quality representation of Igbos within the local, state and federal levels. That enables the people to see that they truly stand for the developent of Ighyoland and also to ensure unlimited funding for their activism. With time they become an intense political force to even determine which Igboman becomes president of Nigeria wen the time of Igbos arrives.

The president talked about Naija oil opportunities in Germany It will be very difficult for the Nigerian govt to stop making investments in oil sector becos even in trying to diversify, the govt needs resources to invest in whatever the choose to diversify. The money for such investment will come largely from oil and gas sales and from VAT. Oil for now is what we got and we must ensure its expansion and continous flow. |

Apart from Lagos, no SW state can match Rivers by any developmental index. Lagos is worthy of its accolades having developed for itself a model that works. But it is not a function of Yoruba magic but rather a collective effort of Nigerians in general. Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa and AkwaIbom have the potential to get to the heights attained by Lagos, if not to even better it. Lagos has gotten enough of our commonwealth, she shouldn't unnecessarily get greedy. |

Politics › Re: You Eat Lagos’ Salt, Yet Speak Ill Of Lagos - Lasisi Olagunju by jamesversion: 8:22am On Oct 17, 2016 |
MayorofLagos: To all yanmiris, listen up...
In 1851 Britain signed a treaty with the Yoruba King and Chiefs of Lagos. This was followed by a peace treaty with Yorubas hinterland immediately following the end of Kiriji 1890.
At the turn of 1900 the whole Western Nigeria was known as Lagos Colony and Protectorate and accepted as domains traditionally under the Oyo King.
By 1906 Lagos Colony and Protectorate was merged for administrative purpose with Protectorate of Southern Nigeria and ultimately in 1914 amalgamated with Nothern Nigeria and then in 1960 became Nigeria.
The treaty of 1851was never transferred to Nigeria. On technical grounds Lagos does not belong to Nigeria, just as it did not belong to Britain, other than the treaty which in exchange for trade in its waters offered security to the King and Chiefs of Lagos.
If anyone has a treaty that confers ownership of Lagos on Nigeria we would love to see it. If you feel you have a case against the FG, why not go to court and stop spamming NL. Better still, declare Republic of Lagos. Rubbish Nigeria has done more than enough for Lagos, she is now repaying the Nigerian investment on her. Since Lagosians, nay Yorubas, love this skewed system that primarily favours them, Nigerians will keep flocking to Lagos till it gets to its breaking point and literally breaks. And you cant even stop West Africans from moving freely within Lagos because they are allowed to, much more fellow Nigerians. |

Nigeria owes Lagos nothing.
Yorubas are a bunch of ingrates.
From third mainland bridge to National theatre, to national stadium to festac and the many federal roads, interchanges, flyovers and other huge infrastructures in Lagos, what contribution did Yorubas make. Oil money from ND and SE.
Just half of federal touch on Bayelsa or Rivers or Delta or AkS and see if they wouldn't fare better.
Yorubas are archetypal ingrates. |

Truth is, Yorubas know nothing of the kind of weaponry in the hands of ND youths. For fhucks sakes, some NDeltans even purchased warships. NDeltans aren't secessionist, we're a nice people looking for a fair deal with the govt of Nigeria. And this blockhead govt of Nigeria doesn't understand rule of law, so the language it best understands is being used to communicate it. ogmask: I think rivers is actually 30% Christians, 50% pagans and 20% atheist. Christians don't kill themselves. Christians don't behead pple. Christians don't kidnap pple. A Christian does not deny his brother because of election and party affiliation. The stories emanating from rivers do not have the colouration of a Christian state. The guys here must repent and practice Christianity as a way of life bfor claiming 100%.
Yeye dey smell. Being a true true born again christian is different from a being christian by the name of it. Infact, practising christianity in this modern world is no mean feat. Atleast 80% of christians will commit one sin or the other before the end of the day regardless of todays church service. But at the end of the day, if Riverians are given a form to fill their religious inclination, atleast, 99.7% will fill Christianity. So,Wike has a valid point. |

Afam4eva: Are you inferring that theme is no single Muslim who is from Rivers and lives there too. What about the non indigene that are muslims? What then makes Rivers a Christian state? So because of abt 30 muslims(Asari Dokubo and family) we should now be recognised as Christian and Muslim state? Any muslim who has come to settle in Rivers should be grateful we are peaceful enough to allow them build and worship in Mosques. Rivers is a Christian state, the muslims are only to be seen and not heard before we deport them back to their states of Origin and convert their mosques to churches. |
