Newsflash
Paul Biya just left aso -rock and he does not like the separatists movement in his own country as well.
You do not win by posting off your next door neighbour.
The outcome is easy to predict.
Who gives dafuq abt Biya. The CIA predicted that Nigeria will split in 2015. This is 2016, we all know the americans hate to predict something and it fails. Just so they don't appear as failures, they will help break up this fuqqing country.

I will love to see the noise about Lagos when Nigeria splits. All Relevant embassies will migrate and the IOCs will disappear, we will love to see Yoruba GDP figures after 5yrs.

woodcook:
I doubt this figure, I am sure the FRSC personnel did not take into consideration that most cars that came in through Lagos and headed to other part of the country are registered in Lagos to aid easy assess to final destination.

In as much as Lagos State is the state with the highest population ( save for census that puts Kano first grin ) it is also possible to host the highest of vehicle per states but 1/4th is questionable.

I for one knows a lot of people that lived in other part of the country that registered that cars in Lagos before moving it to their bases.
there are four cars in my house.. 3 of them are registered in lagos.. frsc is wrong

I love the educational topics going on front page lately. Sadly it appears the minister's family might have survived if they had seat belt on.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing obviously, but majority of Nigerians don't seem to wear seat belts
Please telk people creating topics on tyres and seatbelts to also create topics on the need to fix the roads.

Also let us educate the police escorts on the need to reduce unnecessary recklessness all becos of "security".

malton:
State: Plateau, North Central, Nigeria.

State of Residence: Anambra (Awka).

Having stayed in the east for a while now, it's safe to say that there's a misrepresentation of the Igbo image online, especially here on nairaland. Contrary to what most people think, a vast majority of Igbos are friendly and worry only about how to better their lots. They are not as hateful & begrudging, and bear no ill will towards anyone. They are adventurous, hardworking, and persevering.

The Yorubas for me, are excellence personified. You could count up to 5 rights about them before you find a fault.

The Hausas are nice, accommodating, friendly, helpful and hospitable.

NB: there's nothing I'd like more than for us all to preach tolerance to everyone. The volatility of the North is what drives investors away, especially religious intolerance. We are our own problem. Education is key. The potentials are there, no doubt, but we ought to rewrite our history, redefine our paths and seek better alternatives than resort to any vice at all.
You are a clear example why northerners should be educated. Education, Exposure and enlightenment are the keys to rational thinking.

NB.. pls, Im begging all fulanis/Northerners on NL to help connect me with a fulani lady. I want to marry one.

I wonder why Nigerians make simple things look overwhelming.

TonyeBarcanista:
You are NOT Ijaw and will never be. You are not even from South South yet you guys are always interested in Ijaw affair. The Kalabari man has told you that he is Ijaw, you are here talking thrash. Degema is Kalabari and is Ijaw. You can quote me anywhere.

As an Okrikan, my Aunt(father's younger sister) is married to a Kalabari man, my cousins are Kalabari and we are all Ijaw 100%. This your attempt to enter Ijaws because of jealousy and envy will never come to light. Ijaw is Ijaw whether Apoi or Brass.

As for PH, we don't need the opinion of an outsider. We(Okrika and Rebisi) will always sort ourselves out. We don't need the advice of an Ibo outsider that only seek what to 'gain'.

Thanks
i dnt remember quoting you on this post your replying.

Sincerely you sounded like someone who is nervous. this is a forum for education and enlightenment. How did you arrive that im Igbo and how do you know i have something to gain.

like i quoted you earlier, pls post the document where Okrika signed their ancestral land for the building of PH wharf or atleast share a link so i can download it.

Bros I dey fine o.

As for the Kalabaris we know our history, how we migrated and spread (not necessarily in this order) elem kalabari/new shipping port, obu amafa,, Cawthon Channel etc. We have records of our wars with the Nembes, Okrikas, Ibanis. I know these stories. We have historians who have worked on our ancestry and our origin. We are very well educated and have been so for long holding key roles in all levels of government and entrepreneurship. When we say we are Ijaws we say so due to evidence from reports, stories, records, language, norms, rites, culture and traditional similarities which are there for all to see.

How can I answer this question on behalf of the Ikwerres? I am not Ikwerrre. I cannot feel how the Ikwerres feel. I am Kalabari (Salt Water) Ijaw, from the Eastern Ijaw Axis. This question will be left for the Ikwerres to answer. They will best answer this question. No one should help them or assist them in determining who they want to be associated with. The Ikwerres have their leaders, their elders, their chiefs, their dibias, their Ezes. Let them decide on their own based on facts, their ancestry etc. There are various yard sticks they can apply in determining if they want to be considered Ibos or not. BUT ONLY THE IKWERRES WILL DETERMINE THIS ON THEIR OWN. FORCE IT ON THEM AND YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER BIAFRA WITHIN BIAFRA. THEY MUST NEVER BE FORCED TO BELONG TO ANY GROUP THEY DO NOT WANT TO BELONG TO. I REPEAT, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER BIAFRA WITHIN BIAFRA

The PH ownership issue is not about all of Port Harcourt. It is concentrated on the water fronts I think. Not the whole Port Harcourt city. The Okrikas for instance cannot claim Rumuokoro, Rumuola etc. I have little facts available at my disposal to conclude if these areas/water fronts (Marine base, Ogunabali, etc) belong to the Ikwerres or the Krikeses. Some water fronts like Iwofe etc used to be trading places where riverine communities met with ''up-land'' communities for commerce and trade. But I have limited facts to conclude on this matter.
The degema man doesn't see himself as Kalabari, the Ijaw man in brass doesn't consider Kalabaris true Ijaws. Almost everyone seeks self recognition.

Ikwerre has always maintained to be a distinct group. They deserve to be addressed as they have chosen for themselves.

on the PH issue, why i asked you is becos a Kalabari man (though affiliated to Okrika by culture and language) is a truthful and peaceloving man. So your submission is considered fair and largely unbiased.

The Ikwerres see themselves the true ancestral owners of the area called Port Harcourt ie areas consisting of PH Wharf, marine base, Railway Terminal, Town and even borikiri(some claimed that as recently as 1970, comprehensive sec sch in borikiri was the last building in borikiri, the rest was uninhabited swampland). The Ijaw area were only Abuloma, Amadi-ama was just a recent town founded on Npogwu and Ogbunabli waterfronts.

it will be better this situation is resolved amicably without any party feeling hard done. We need peace and prosperity.
Politics › Re: Ijaws Secret Agenda In Niger Delta EXPOSED! by jamesversion: 7:32pm On Jan 10, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
On Portharcourt, the British first made agreement with Okrika Chiefs in 1913(the Hangrove agreement) and Rebisi(Diobu) Chiefs in 1927. Chief Oju Daniel Kalio and Chief Gabriel Yellowe of Bakana (who served as District Interpreter in the 1913 agreement) led them to Chief Wobo of Diobu and other Diobu Chiefs and subsequently signed the agreement. We don't have to go deep. As it is now, the Rebisi (Ikwerre) and Okrika(Ijaw) have an understanding that maintains our existing peace. These enemies from outside are always good at instigating troubles.

NB: We still have a copy of Hangrove Agreement till date.
Please can you back up this statement with a scanned copy. The Okrika chiefs claimed the same thing when the waterfront saga with Amaechi was at fever pitch, but they never produced any document.

Una say wetin do Ijaw?

TonyeBarcanista and tombraokoto tiye paka? What are they saying?

Ijaws planned to do what? We have a secret agenda? Really? The fact that Ken Sarowiwa made allegations against the Ijaws does not mean he had his facts right. I respect Saro-wiwa but I am not oblivious of the fact that he was also a Politician (yes Politics is ubiquitous and comes in different forms). He also fought for control of his own resources. I like Saro-wiwa. I like the principles he lived and fought for. As a matter of fact before Saro-wiwa started, Isaac Adaka Boro started the Ijaw struggle for self determination and emancipation.

Let me ask,

IS THERE A REGION IN NIGERIA WITHOUT AN AGENDA BOTH SECRET AND/OR OPEN?

The way people jump into conclusions without analyzing the facts of a matter is surprising. That is why today people in the country can be easily deceived by politicians, religious leaders, the media etc.

-The North has an agenda
-Biafrans have their agenda (big fat huge agenda as a mater of fact. Possibly the biggest agenda that in the past led to a Civil War)
-Yorubas have their agenda (afterall you had your lagoon agenda and destroyed the Oshodi market as claimed by Ibos)
-Even the middle-belt now have their own agenda
-Fulanis , Fulani herd men even have their agenda (Big, fat, bloody, children murdering, women raping, farmers murdering agenda)
Imbre. Tobara.

What is your perception of the Ikwerres in Rivers. If Kalabari is Ijaw, do you consider the Ikwerres Igbo?.

And what is your candid say on PH ownership issue between Ikwerre and Okrika.
