Conner44:Exactly, if I have money tomorrow to own more than 2 cars, atlleast 2/3 will be V6. The driveability is so sweet. |
PresEmeka:V6 gives out 271 hp @ 600rmp While I4 gives out 177 hp The Accord It's a large Car. The differenc is very much clear when you approach a stop.... from rest, the V6 with lower rpm picks very fast to attain maximum speed even with AC and full loaded car. While the I4 is yet to pick. It shorts off the the 3 plugs on high speed for fuel efficiency and when you slow down, the 6 plugs ignites for the compression to start. So, if you travel alot, V6 is better. If you drive mainly within the city I4 is better. If you're buying car for fun, the V6 is much better. If the engine is sound. It's pretty fast and zippy. |
vivalavida:The car has shown him Shege promax |
Sportwin:Yes, offcourse. Less ppl are willing to buy V6. |
Asquare84:I feel like Honda makes strong I4 engine that is enough for all manner of driving. It has better hp than Toyota but, If you can afford the maintenance and fueling of V6 go ahead. But, If it's your only car, it's not worth it. Considering the fuel situation. Community driving doesn't bring out the best of v6. You stop and go hear and there. Except high ways. But, It has more hp. That's more pulling power even with AC and full loads from rest. Just extra cost of fuel, oil, maintenance and of course lower resale value. |
Asquare84:Please, go for the 012 of that Accord series. That is the last year of that car model. It has better transmission. Aside engine issuues,These 08-010 also have issues with transmission. And if you're buying new engine, make sure you buy 2.4 litre engine. The bigger I4 engine. The smaller 2.0 has issue with oil dilution. That's oil mixing with the fuel over the useful life of the car. |
Jeweltz:Baby, sponsor my Visa.... I will marry you. |
Dozieson:Ok |
kingreign:Google the word optional |
kingreign:It's optional 5 speed. You can use both the 4 speed and the 5 speed. Most BFN with 2.4 litre engine use the 4 speed. And it's efficient. It's only problematic in 07-09 with the 2.5 litre engine. The 02-04 comes standard with the 10 pin and they are more reliable and efficient. A lot of ppl use them for transportation and it doesn't disappoint. The first year of the 5 speed is like a test run of new technology. What do you expect? Experiment. But, you might still change the 13 pin after spending 350k for a 17 year old car. . Do what suits you though. |
kingreign:You don't even read wide to learn. His car year 05 Camry comes with optional 5 Speed automatic transmission. He can choose to use the 4 speed or 5 speed. Which is either 10 pin or 13 pin . |
inikamoze:Do a proper scan and acertain if it's just a cable issue or minor stuff. If it requires bringing the gear box down to fix, I will suggest yo get a 10 pin Gear and rest. Budget 150k. Even if you repair the the 13 pin. It will still develope fault. The 13 pin Gear is too delicate for our roads. Any slightest mistake your gear is gone...... The reason you see a lot of 07-09 muscle Camry with 13 pin Gear issue for sale . And it's more expensive to purchase. 350k.... If you want to fix it, you might end up wasting your money. |
Danthemariner:Do a scan first |
Cooolme:Except in a case of emergency. I can never drive such a long distance again with bad roads. It's not worth the stress. |
TWoods:Spot on. Only 1% |
Creamcrest:You don't understand the suffering of ppl. All this thing you just mentioned are only available to the rich. It's a global world and wherever you find comfort becomes your home. Some of us will never find comfort in Nigeria, untill you travel out. Non of us will go to the world beyond(hell or heaven) with earthly possession. But, some of us will enjoy a more quality life and be a blessing to others. |
Snrman1:The worst advise I can ever take is ring engine. It's a total waste of money expecially if the engine shorts oil. A new engine is always better. Expecially the 2.4 litre engine. Honda, number 1 maker of internal combustion engine actually have engine that last a taste of time if properly maintained. So, getting a new engine isn't a waste. |
This 2Az engine isn't for this model. It's either you upgraded it or the oyibo you bought from scammed you. Because, even some late 2009 models comes with the new and more reliable engine. |
Relationship isn't easy ohh... Sometimes you begin to wonder if you're the wrong one. I think, just like my mom once told me, when I broke up so many relationship. She said. Two ppl that are in good terms, is because of one person's tolerance. No one has it all. The gal that can't cook might also be very lively, fun and excite you alot. But, then your kids, you, your finances and family planning suffers. The one that can cook and clean will be dumb and liveless. The matter just tire me. |
KingOfTheDamned:Oya share your own. Over wise |
obi58:Change engine and transmission |
Aaaaarghmed:That's your choice. Even though Honda is fun to drive. When it comes to handling and zippy acceleration, I prefer the BFN for this reason ( Reliability and Fuel efficiency even with ice cold Ac) what's the point of driving a car when you're not sure, it will take you home. Google worst Accord to avoid. I would rather go for an 011/012 Accord. This has better reliability and better Mpg. |
saysugar:Had experience. And since I dedicated my time to study cars and performance and still studying. I only go to mechanic, to replace a part I bought by myself. And if it's something one can't detect physically, I scan. |
poshemmanuel:It's a solid car. If not the best in terms of reliability and fuel consumption. But, it doesn't have enough cargo space. I still prefer a Camry or Accord for personal and family use because of space and comfort. |
Aaaaarghmed:I have used both cars and I know what reliability is. And I know people who have used both EOD and Big Daddy. Infact they are no match in terms of reliability. Google or watch YouTube. That car is 15-20 years old. Still runs good with chilling AC. Any one you see that turns scrap is not properly maintained. Why do you think alot of people use it for Uber. Try using EOD and see, if you will not change engine in one month. Ppl buy it because of it's reliability even when EOD is cheaper. As for the engine, it's lack of maintenance. Don't let it over heat. They come with a better Engine than 07-09 muscle. Their interior doesn't detioriate like others. Solidly made car..Google and watch YouTube. Educate yourself and stop using Naija Mentality as yardsticks. The worst Honda Accord with least reliability is EOD. The transmission is not reliable. but, the ones with 2.4 liter engine is good. The legs pulls if you are not careful...While Big daddy with 10 pin transmission is more reliable and more fuel efficient from 02-06. With a 2.4 litre engine that aren't notorious for oil burn. The Camrys with 2.5 liter engine and 13 pin Gear box are least reliable. (07-09) Drive round your city. 4/6 breakdown on the highway is EOD. Reliability is when a car can take you from point A-B without breakdown. Why is EOD sold cheaper even when the interior is finer Why are ppl leaving it for Toyota? Reliability is more important in cars than Beauty |
So you jumped out and only sustained injury on one side of your hand. How did you land? It's not even a scratch injury but a punctured injury..... Cock and boo story. |
Avoid cars made within these years... 07-09 Their engine either burns oil, or the Gear box isn't durable, or the interior isn't durable. They don't hold up thier value over a long time. These applys to mostly Toyota, Honda and Lexus. Don't joke with this. They are fine on the outside, but thier problem will drain you when it starts. You Should either go for 010-2022( Preferably) Or you go old school 02-06 |
After purchase. * Always service the engine on time with good oil * Form a habit of checking the fluid level of your engine, gear, coolant, break and maybe power steering. And top up if need be. These practice can save you a fortune * Service below 3kmiles(4800km). Don't prolong your engine service when due. *Get your documents correct. *Don't leave your car with a mechanic. Always make yourself available. Or face the Damages. Don't just be a zoombii... Learn one or two *If, there's an issue, be calm, Google, watch video on YouTube and then scan before you proceed to mechanic workshop. Else you might be working on a different thing entirely that isn't the problem. Thereby creating more problems. Don't guess, find theoritical solution before you practicalize. *Buy original parts, don't cut corners, you will end up spending twice in a short time. *Don't manage a damaged part, it might leave you stranded. *Make sure your tires are upto date, atlleast, 2019 make and always guaged. Saves you fuel * Do your wheel balancing and alignment, regularly. This can prevent accident and makes your driving fun. *Avoid road competition, over speeding, and under speeding. Move like a stream of fish when on the highway. |
Things you should consider. First, go with a professional And a friend who owns a car. * Go for cars with low or average mileage. *If you're buying used car, don't go for the cheapest car. *Consider the year of the car and market value in the next few years *Browse the common problem with the car year and model. Every car has an issue, some can be managed, some are worst and make your life miserable. *What is the purpose of the car you intend to buy? Is it for hurzle? (corrola, Civic or Matrix) family use and office(Camry, Honda Accord, Huidai )? Or for a befitting status(Benz, Lexus, BMW)? Remember You can't have both. You can either go for one purpose and forget the rest *Don't understimate any problem you might observe with the engine or gear and Ac system. This things cost alot to fix and might be the problem for the sale and possibly price drop *Check out for welded joint, and avoid accident cars. * Avoid pimped cars, mostly driven by boys. Go for cars that are basic, mostly driven by older men or women. *Consider your after expenses during bargain. 4 Tires, Need for professional spray, More elegant rims. Remember, these things might cost you upto 400-500k *Put performance ahead of beauty * Check for unterperd exhaust system GoodLuck |
Please, I want to get a 2011/2013 Honda Accord. I did reserch and discovered that the seat is one of the major complaints. Someone who owns one should give an insight of how it feels driving it over a long distance. |
Most of you don't even know cars. Big Daddy will Outlast 5 EOD and it's better both in comfort, Ac, ruggedness and space. You follow name from illiterates. Even the resale value of big Daddy only goes up. The transmission of EOD is wack. The leg is wack, the fuel consumption is wack too. Even Currently, EOD sells cheaper. |
