Opened the master, found out the oil has leaked so much into the round big bowl that houses the break pump/ master. He said we could change few rubber fittings and threw away the oil. Did that, break is working but not effectively. He is suggesting the the housing has a leak, that's why the oil poured out of the car from the break pedal

Hello everyone. Please, I noticed my break oil shorting. Mechanic couldn't dictate where the leak is from. As no leak on the wheel. He suggested we open the break Master, but I have been topping up. Recently, I just decided to match on the break while car is off And pump it. I noticed fluid coming down from a hose under the break pedal. By the leg side. How do I go about this. I am currently facing a similar but more severe issue.

I am also a first time car owner, here are my issues:

1. Got a 2008 Nigerian used honda accord car on 22nd Dec 2021 for N1.8m
2. I went with a friend who has been driving honda cars for over 11yrs, he brought his mechanic that has been fixing his car for over seven years.
3. Him and the mechanic confirmed the car ok before I paid, though the car was making noise but the car dealer convinced us that it was just a catalyst that we need to buy.
4. The mechanic drove the car to his workshop to do the necessary servicing and to fix the catalyst, I transferred 120k to him to buy and change everything necessary, he checked the legs, fixed new catalyst, changed the tires and changed oil using 5W-30 oil since we could not get the 5w-20.
5. After servicing the car that same day, the noise reduced but still loud, the car also vibrate on ac and on idle, I took the car back to the mechanic, he was afraid to tell me that it is an engine problem.
6. So I called the car dealer, he brought his mechanic and they confirmed that the noise is coming from the oil pump and top, I gave him 50k to change it on 28th December 2021.
7. On 20th January 2022 the same sound returned, this time it was louder, I took it to the mechanic and it was the oil pump again, this time, the price of oil pump has increased because I went with them to buy it myself, I spent 60k to fix the oil pump again on 25th Jan 2022
8. Fast forward to yesterday, 6th Feb 2022, the sound returned again.
9. Today 7th January 2022, I took it to the same mechanic, he said the parts seller sold bad oil pump to me that I should tell him to change it for me, the parts dealer is insisting that the oil pump he sold to me was ok.
9. The parts dealer brought his mechanic, they call the Mechanic 'Awilo' at Willoughby here at Oyingbo, Awilo said that he'll have to dismantle the engine in order to confirm every fault with the car, but he's suspecting that the crankshaft will be bad, that I should budget N200k.
10. I went back to the mechanic, and he advised me that I should not allow them to dismantle the engine that he is very sure that the problem is the oil pump.
10. With all the repairs that has been going on, the car still make a very loud vibration except when on motion, the ac cools well only when on motion or when the weather is cold i.e morning and evening time

Sorry. You have spent almost the amount for a direct Tokumbo. Once you have money, always buy direct. Most of these Naija used big cars are problem waiting to be transferred.

Whenever I start my camry sport 2007, it has to warm/work for 20mins before moving if not the ignition will off when I press the gas. Though after some time on the road, the engine work will balance.

Is it normal to start an engine and wait for 10mins and above before moving (daily use) or is there a problem with the car?

Amazing vehicle, very quick very reliable so long as it's maintained and my God it's super silent. Mine sounds like an electric vehicle from inside the cabin and Fuel consumption is very ok so long as all catalytic converters and o2 sensors are functioning properly. The only con that bothers me personally is that it uses timing belt. Maybe because it's my first timing belt car but then again all honda v6 uses timing belt. The engine is an interference engine meaning that if your timing belt snaps the piston will hit the valve and the valve will bend. But hey like everything else timing belts have change intervals and they last as long as 5 to 7 years or 70k miles so long as you get the original. I enjoy mine and my preventive measure is for my mechanic to inspect my timing belt every 4 months

I have hear a lot of stuff about oil consumption, misfire and transmission issue.

I currently have two job offers on the table. One is in Abuja and the pay is about N200,000 a month, while the other is in Lagos and the pay is about N300,000. I am presently based in Abuja and have never stayed in Lagos. I only visited on occasions. The Lagos offer is tempting but I am kind of apprehensive about relocating there because of the challenges that come with staying in Lagos.
Please I need your inputs. Which would you rather choose, the Lagos offer or the Abuja one?

So I'm thinking of combining both together so I can drive Uber after closing hour of 6pm, then resume to work the following day. The 60k job includes Saturday, so I only have Sunday as full day to drive.

You will born out and probably faint on the road without rest. And maybe loose your 60k job during this process. What kind of life plan is this. Why are you eager to get a car on loan. Keep your job and forget that pressure you want to put on your self. Driving uber for someone, you need to do it full time, before you can meet up the target. Some days won't go as planned, some weeks you won't meet up. Keep your job man

Please, don't quit your job if you see potential in it. And a career to build. I will advise you seek more online jobs which I'm seeking right now. Driving uber isn't an alternative to good life, it's just a side hurzle. But, if you wish to; Are you the type that will tolerate insult from ladies. You will meet alot of broke fools in the street that will insult you. You need to know that a lot of people have character problem. What kind of car do you have? A smaller car with low maintenance is best. Uber busines isn't good for a full time job. You can't drive everyday. It's best as per time, I do that here in Abuja. There are a lot of people into it in Abuja And you can make an average of 50-75k monthly outside fuel if you didn't do any repair for the month. It also comes with road risk.

Do you have any good mechanic in Abj with good knowledge of Camry 2.4...2 Az Engine. I want to fix this as the car doesn't short oil untill almost due for service. which is rare for that Engine.

It's steady but not blinking.

This is most common when trying to accelerate from zero going up even the smallest inclined hill, after coming to a stop. The first 2 gears up to 3 is sluggish, takes longer than normal to get to top speed. But,once in top speed runs great. All gear shift normal and selection is fantastic when on top speed.

Then let your mechanic make the necessary decisions for u then since he is the one physically with the vehicle, remote diagnosis can't help you with such sensitive decision.

I don't trust all this mechanic. He said, I should clean the gear box filter. He opened my gear box. It was clean as new. He fixed it back, but couldn't place my inner cup well. That's how the oil started draining I had to refill oil twice before working on the inner cup. Spent 3 times of what I should have spent because of carelessness

The check engine light and Abs is on. I did a scan, they said Oxygen sensor is bad. Although, most people say they don't even drive with oxygen sensor. I have ordered for an identical oxygen sensor. But, I doubt if that it's the major issue. When this happens, I feel a pressure pushing back my legs as I press on the gas pedal, if I press too hard, engine works hard and a loud sound and temperature imediately goes up.
