I'm not PDP/APC, everything is not all about politics. Whatever that is worth doing at all is worth doing well. Now because PDP didn't build any in 16 years APC should build mediocre housing for low income because they don't deserve quality housing foolish thinking.

Did Cownu threaten the 'zoo' (Nigeria) or not?

If yes then it is the height of irresponsibility and foolishness for a Nigerian Lawmaker to stand surety or a person that threatens his country.

You people think anyone can run his mouth anyhow or act rogue without consequences just because he's disgruntled? Okay.

Remember that your human rights end where the next persons own starts i.e you cannot infringe on my right to peaceful existence with your right to freedom of speech/association. Iberibe acted irresponsibly and is bearing the consequences.
It is in banana Island like Nigeria where a citizen who abide by the constitution will be procecuted Nnamdi Kanu is right when he used the word ZOO to describe Nigeria. The senator was elected by his people to represent them and Kanu happened to be one of his constituent and he is in his right and he also understand the consequeces and that consequences has to be in line with the rule of law not by vendetta. Nigeria is a democratic country and for Nigeria to be a strong Nation and a strong democracy we all have to put all our hands on deck to built a strong institutions not politically motivated arrest, this case is already in the court of competent jurisdiction and should allowed to take its course, the executive should as matter of egancy stop interfering with the judiciary.

And you see nothing wrong with that?

My friend go and sit down.
Let me remind you that Nnamdi Kanu never burn down Nigeria and Kanu did not kill a single soul before or after his false incarceration. What built a great Nation is when country take pride in it's constitution, America is great because they value the rule of law. Until we as country understand that emotion and the rule of law don't go together and will never be friends. Nnamdi Kanu may be enemy of the state as you think he is, but he has never contravene the law of the land and as such never convicted of any crime and the senator has the right to stand as a surety. The federal government of Nigeria knows that they have nothing to convict Nnamdi Kanu and that was the reason they stage their operation python dance to destabilize the court hearing Coming up just in a month time and for the federal government to come and arrest the senator for Kanu's disappearance is against the rule of law any judge who sees it otherwise is the one to be called enemy of the state.

Leave the North and answer the question.
The answer is yes there's nothing in Nigerian constitution that prevent a law maker from standing as a surety and if you all who do not found anything wrong with this government disobeying the rule of law I'll say you all are the enemy of the state. And again if you have a little understanding of our constitution you would have understood that before he the senator stand as surety for Kanu, IPOB was not an illegal organization and I'm sure if you had done little research you would have understood that the court of competent jurisdiction has ruled that IPOB was not an illegal organization.

we were talking about the beginning of coup in Nigeria. The man that started it all was fighting an unnecessary course for the igbos. He is the reason Nigeria has become like this. If he haven't started that coup killing all the hausas/Fulanis and yorubas in power, there wouldn't have bn something like Hausa counter coup which led to several other coups or before coups became a norm in Nigeria. Have you ever wondered why there have never for once bn any true love/love/romance/peace between the Igbos and the nothern people (Hausas/Fulani)? Or why Ojukwu started the agitation for the soverign state of Republic of Biafra? It was all thanks to chukwuma, he started it all, he was the reason why the hausas killed many of your people up front and Aguiyi Johnson Ironsi (The only head of state from the east). Anyway i wasn't supporting any tribe from my initail post and also here. I'm just telling you like others that Major General Chukwuma was the reason for the division in Nigeria. He created the problem the southern part of Nigeria is facing till date especially the south east. Yorubas are only using brain to collect what's ours from the hausas/fulanis up front while you people tagged it slavery. You can continue saying that though, once the hausas/fulanis knows and never mess with our importancy in Nigeria, then we don't care. And you eastern people should start using your brain. What's/ has befell you people is all your fault. The earlier you realize that and find a solution the better. God will help you people in your fight for freedom though. Buh you people should biko take mouth out of yoruba people matter. We are suppose to fight you the way the hausas/fulanis always do because of all what your people did in 1966 buh we didn't. So you people should learn to be grateful. And we are the reason Yakubu Gowon didn't wipe out all the igbo tribe during the civil war buh you'd always tag us backstabbers even when we are trying everything possible to make sure the nothern people don't wipe you out because of the hatred they have for you which you incured upon yourselves though.

#Salam
When I said you don't have knowledge of history I know what I was saying but I'm not in anyway trying to insult you I will suggest to you to do little research about the hate of the northern Nigerians to the Igbos before the independence and before 1966. The killing of the Igbos by the northerners did not start in 1966 . The division did not start with the 1966 coup as you think you understand. If you have a little time go to YouTube type (Nigeria passing the buck and fear of the enemy within ) just watch it it's just a little interview it may give you an idea what was going on before the 1966 .
1966 coup, yes Chukwma Nzeogwu led the coup and yes he is Igbo, but the likes of you have changed the narrative instead of Nigeria military coup it became an Igbo's coup.

Blame PDP from the north to South or East to West APC is in charge, $120 per barrel or $45 per barrel APC in charge now, recession or no recession APC in charge and so no amount of blame game can build a standard hospital in Nigeria. I don't know where I said Buhari should build a hospital for free for Nigerians, maybe the logical thing here is your level of comprehension.

A hospital, a good one at that can be built under three years. Please this mentality of blaming it on PDP is old now and its time to stop. This administration saw the rot, they told the Nigerian people that they will fix the rot and the Nigerian people gave them the mandate to do so. Why the blame game? As a realist, I believe our problem in Nigeria can never be solved in just four or eight years no and I don't think Buhari, APC or anyone can solve the problems just in three-four years, but after three years I and Nigerians expect to see the trajectory of good governance going up instead the reverse. We were in two feet shallow grave when this administration took over but now we are in six feet grave if we continue to play politics and the blame game we will find our country beyond six feet.
PoliticsRe: Reactions As Anambra Begins Demolition Of 'Shanties' In Onitsha (Photos) by jamjo: 3:57pm On Apr 21, 2018
UNIZIK1stSon:
The Anambra State Government has commenced demolition of illegal Structures, Shanties in the State. Starting with Onitsha, the exercise has met a lot of mixed reactions.

A new dawn beckons in Anambra State following the commencement of the demolition of illegal structures and shanties within the Safest State in Nigeria.

Early reports show that while there are one or two persons not so happy about this exercise, a lot of ndi Anambra are overjoyed by the directive given by Gov Willie Obiano to relevant agencies to rid the State of all illegal structures and shanties that provide hiding place for criminals; promote anti-social activities and deface the cities.

The illegal structures which are found at many corners in the State are usually built on gutters thereby blocking the drainage systems with most of them known to be criminal hideouts and places where prostitutes and other miscreants engage in nefarious activities.

Speaking during demolition along Ajasa Street, Onitsha, the State Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transport, Uchenna Okafor, said the exercise is in the overall interest of the people noting that despite series of government notices to the communities and affected owners of the structures to enable them vacate, some persons failed to comply.

It could be recalled that the State Government had earlier issued demolition notices followed by aggressive public service announcements through radios, television as well as the use of handbills and town criers spanning months asking the affected persons to do the needful.

The demolition notice drew lots of commendations from well meaning ndi Anambra both home and abroad who attested to the fact that the exercise is key to building a modern and safer State.

According to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Chikodi Anara, the demolition exercise will be conducted through out the State.

"Every structure on the waterways, shops on drainage systems, shanties and any form of illegal structure in Anambra will be demolished without fear or favour. We gave adequate notice to the people involved," Anara added.

Some residents of Venn Road North in Onitsha who spoke to the press confirmed that they were earlier informed before the exercise.

Amaka Edochie, a dry fish dealer while appealing to the government to give them more time to take out their goods said, "Truly we were warned severally before now but it was only yesterday that we know that they (the government) are serious".

The demolition exercise which is being carried out by the authorized law enforcement agencies, will last till all illegal structures and shanties in the State are cleared.

HeavenIsSoReall:
Pls Lawyers in the house I need your advice here.

Our Landlord and the wife have been fighting for whose account the tenancy fees should be paid into. We paid the initial money to the landlord and packed in, our first tenancy renewal was also paid to the landlord but now, the wife came up with an order that no tenant should pay into the landlord's account again, she warned us seriously that every payment should be made into her personal account which she sent to every tenant.

The landlord in the other hand is also threatening us not listen to his wife unless we want to pay double. One of the tenants that paid into the landlord's account has been asked to vacate his apartment by the Landlady.

Both the Landlord and his wife are claiming ownership of the house but some elders around told us that the house belongs to the Landlady. Right now we're confused on what to do. Pls I need matured contribution(s) thank you.
Right now withhold the payment, but make sure you have your full rent at any given time, next bring all the tenants together so to make an arrangement for a lawyer. Until they resolve the ownership of the house by the court of competent jurisdiction never exchange any money with anyone in the name of rent and that goes to all the tenants.

O'l boy please Stop playing smart by half. I have been to Ghana and there are open gutters everywhere.
Those one or two estates may or may-not even have gutters.

Is that not Ghana picture below that has open gutters that oyibo boy jumped inside?

Is that not Owerri in the second picture that has estates with closed drains?

Does it mean all estates in Nigeria have closed drains = NO!
Does it mean all estates in Ghana has open drain = NO!

The estate you posted from Angola is actually a silly comparison.Tell me the whole of Angola is like that, then you will have a point. It's clearly a complex built by a big construction company both the building and the streets. The equivalence is to post Eko Atlantic city or 1004 flats built by Julius Berger for millions of dollars and start comparing a street in Asata not even up to 100,000 dollars and blabing there is open gutter etc. If we have the money for Julius Berger to build every street in Nigeria, then we would be richer than America!

I have already told you the reason is that we don't have the industrial backbone to produce proper storm drain-pipes. So we improvise with concrete gutters (Which is better than nothing). In the future, people like INNOSON may produce proper drain pipes and we can begin using them. I remember when Zinc was the roofing material, then it became aluminium and now vinyl. Things are changing and one day, we shall get there. For now, Build gutters on both sides of every street to make sure waste water isn't pouring on the street and children are playing on it and catching diseases.

Some countries may have a policy to import the drain pipes, good for them. But if you need to address issue of open gutters, it can only be addressed at policy level and not at the level of folks like Spyder who are just using whats available to provide a service.
No one is playing smart here, but you giving excuses for mediocrity is something I can't understand. And as for Ghana and Angola, I never said they don't have open drainage rather I said NEW DEVELOPMENTS, other African countries are changing from old ways of doing things and I believe we as a country have to catch up. As for folks like Spyder, I commend what they are doing but Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well. The same way big or small companies are investing in Angola and Ghana and doing well is the same way big and small companies are doing in Nigeria and those places are not richer than Nigeria. This is not equivalent to Eko Atlantic city but it was constructed with a level of standard that an average individual can afford and it is in Ghana.

I think understanding the technology gap between Europe or America to third world countries and why we make do with what we have in our environment will enable you understand this issue better.

Abroad, they don't use concrete to make gutters, they use pipes. So it's naturally closed. Concrete gutters are actually more expensive and increasing the cost with more concrete to cover them will be prohibitive.

It appears using concrete to make drainage channels was the technology we inherited from what the British colonialist government taught us and we never change once we learn something in one way.

Besides, Nigeria industries are either incapable or ignorant about what it takes to make these drainage pipes. Storm drains used for gutters on highways are also prefabricated with steel by companies in those countries of Europe or America. We don't have any steel companies in Nigeria capable of fabricating steel cups talkmore drainage gutters as we have abroad, so again, we have to make do with our usual cement and rods.
Please don't give me the lecture about Europe or America I live in America but the last thing I'll do is comparing America and Nigeria. The pictures below are new developments in Ghana and Angola and before you criticize me for a few pictures please research about the new developments that are ongoing in this countries as they are all in Africa. Yes, it is all about campaign money, If you did not comprehend the question Omoyele Sowore asked and the answer the former governor gave please go and read it in entirety. "The former governor said the expensiveness of the Nigerian politics is one of the reasons why it is not possible for a clean person to become the president of the country" and that is why the leaders who otherwise would have taken Nigeria to achieve its potential don't emerge because they have no money. Candidates don't run with their own money, even when they want to put their own money, it will be in the form of lending to his/her campaigns organizations and he/she are at the liberty to get the money back from his/her campaign organization if he/she lose or win the election. Now at the end of an election if the campaign organizations have a debt the law allows them to solicit money to be used in paying their debt or in the case of having money in the account after an election the campaign organizations can decides to keep money to be used if the candidate want to seek re-election or they can give the money to their parties or give it to a charities .
