Niger state is pathetic

They have kainji, Jebba and Shirroro yet wallow in darkness
It looks like you don't understand how electricity distribution in Nigeria works, they are wallowing in darkness as you said because the federal government decides how megawatts to be distributed to each city or states because of the centralized grid. If the federal government can just find the political will and decentralize the power sectors in Nigeria power problems will be a thing of the past at least in some of our major cities in Nigeria. For instance, a city like Lagos has the capacity to build their own power and distribute it to all the state and the if the much of it they can sale to Ogun or any willing state.

[sup][/sup]UNIVERSITY GRADUATE CONSTRUCT HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER PLANT, GENERATE ELECTRICITY

32 years old Augustine Otuokwa Ogar, a graduate ofElectronic and Computer Technology, has constructed a200 Mega Watts mini Hydroelectric power plant thatgenerate electricity for the plant site and itssurrounding Mgbaeshuo village of Wula Community,Eastern Boki, Boki LGA, Cross River State.

Remarkable and exceptional Augustine Otuokwa Ogar,
constructed this Hydroelectric Plant with locally selected handpicked materials and equipments and intelligently put them together.

He converts the kinetic energy of a flowing stream water into electric energy that is now used in homes and business areas of this village.

Generated on a small scale with 'run-off' installation of a naturally flowing stream water to turn and revolve its turbine.

The Water rushes past the turbine, hitting its blades and causing it to spin and rotate, converting the water's kinetic energy into mechanical energy, the water then finally flows out of the stream and continues its journey down stream.

"When the turbine spins so does the electromagnetic field convert this mechanical energy into electric energy" he said and continue, "the flow rate of the stream water is low, because its not a dam or water fall, this is a small stream with low flowing water, Yet I was able to convert it to bring Pressure and fall like a
Dam."

Augustine Otuokwa Ogar, needs encouragement, support, total empowerment from Government and spirited Nigerians.

If he can generate power from his locally constructed Hydroelectric power plant then, with Empowerment, he can construct a more Ingenious energy generating plant that can serve the entire Local Government and Senatorial Zone.

Land in Owerri is very affordable. Land has finished in the area I posted but there is somewhere called Area TA you can get for only 15million and Area U for a little more. There are also estates outside the city you can get a plot for as low as 1 million or less like Tehilla gardens at Naze and more at Irette, Avu and Obinze. One thing is that the urban renewal caused appreciation of real estate value within tge city. Area TA for example was 2.5 million in 2015 but now 15 to 20 million.
With the rate, lands are being sold in Owerri soon there will be nothing left to accommodate the populations that are exploding. It is time property developers start building up. Penthouses and apartments like the one the pictures are what Owerri or Southeast, in general, need we are in an area that is densely populated, and we can't afford to sale all our lands and nothing will be left for agriculture.

Gutting of the state of origin will never happen in Nigeria as it only pays the igbo who have made their homeland inhabitable for themselves and other Nigerians and want to claim benefits from the lands of those they hate with a passion? What is your business with yorubaland? Why don’t you go to the north to claim rights? Over our dead bodies will state of origin and indigeneship be abolished in Nigeria!

The day that law passes in Nigeria is the day millions of igbos will die in a bloody pogrom nationwide. You cannot cheat all other tribes and claim indigeneship in enemy territory.

Igbos should fight for Biafra as they have a better chance of actualising that than being indigenes in enemy territory.
Someone who loves honey should not be afraid of bees, you all are at the forefront of one Nigeria, but don't want to embrace the consequences of being one instead you all want to pick and choose the once you all think that is best for you all, it doesn't work that way. All of sudden you have become the proponent of Biafra for Ndi-Igbo. Hello are we still one country?

Why are people talking about igbos as if they are foreigners from another country? This mentality has to stop. This country belongs to everyone and its constitution guarantees the right to move, live and work anywhere.
Now you understand, this is one of the fundamental problems behind the agitation of Biafra. Igbo people like me are seen as troublemakers in Nigeria by other tribes because they don't want to be seen as foreigners in their own country. The fear mentality that the Igbos want to dominate them, you ask yourself how can someone in his or her own country be dominated, I don't want to sound like a broken record, but is it they are afraid of competition or hard work what is it? How can an Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa or any other ethnic group in Nigeria who live and pay taxes are referred to as non-indigenes, what then is the meaning of one NIGERIA? Sometimes when I hear Nigerians use the words HOST COMMUNITIES, I start to wonder do they really know the full meaning of the word, did they invite anyone to a party? How can a full citizen who live, pay taxes to be seen as non-indigenes in his/her own God-given country.
What is all this uproar all about? how can an organization formed for the main purpose of fostering the welfare of its citizenry constitute a threat to Yoruba tribe? Here in America, they have many of the kind of organizations, Black Americans NAACP, NUL. Jewish people have AJC, ADL, AIPAC. What is a democracy? What is the full meaning of citizenship of a country, and what is the benefit of being a citizen of a country? Is it not the time we Nigerians go back to the constitution and do away state of origin for the state of birth, where a Hausa person will be proud to say he/she is from Rivers state or Yoruba from IMO, Igbo from Lagos, Ijaw from Kano etc. Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba/Ijaw no matter where you are born we all are still what we are. A Jewish person in America, Isreal, Poland is still a Jew.

Igbos only travel for TWO major reasons: SHOW OFF and JAZZ RENEWAL.

If they are not visiting home to showcase to the villagers there beautiful fiancée; they are there to showcase their wealth from drug deals in Indonesia.

If they are not home to renew their jazz for the next year; they are there to launch their new house(built with ritual money)

If they are not there to show their new rides; they are there to carry a new maid to Lagos that they will end up trafficking to Libya.

Our estates are primarily targeted at the middle class as 75% of these house owners are the working class both in private and public sectors. There is a limit to what federal mortgage bank will avail to these people. You and I know that cost is a serious factor in real estate, when we make it too exquisite, many people can not afford it. The picture I posted here is also work in process. When we are done, you will see a big difference. Thanks for your concern.
Yes, I understand there are many challenges in real estate sector in Nigeria that add to the cost of providing adequate housing, but there are other ways to reduce cost. For example, with a simple roofing design would have saved some cost. We build prison yard and call it home, the cost of the front wall was not necessary would have channeled to landscaping and covered drainage because the estate is already gated. Even as the developer you don't have the money for tree planting you would have made provision for it when planning for the streets and make it mandatory in the sales agreement that each landlord plant trees. They can't even plant trees if they want to, just look at the picture what do you see the wall, open drainage and the road no space for trees.

TravelRe: Ethiopian Airline Lands Latest Boeing 787-9 In Abuja With 177 Passengers by jamjo: 4:00pm On Nov 09, 2017
SageTravels:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGxpAdG-Oc8

‎‎Ethiopian Airlines, on Tuesday, landed its newest acquired airline, Boeing 787-9 at the ‎Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja‎ with about 177 passengers on board from Adis Ababa, Ethiopia to celebrate the arrival of the new aircraft

‎‎The plane, which is tagged the Big Brother to Abuja, landed ‎around 11:45am with 27 passengers on board the business class while over 150 passengers were in the economic class.

‎‎The new aircraft was welcomed by the officers of the Airport Fire Service with the usual flight shower to mark the arrival of new aircraft to the airport.‎

‎The 787 Dreamliner is the most innovative and efficient airplane family flying today. Since 2011, more than 600 Dreamliners have entered commercial services, flying almost 200 million people on more than 560 unique routes around the world, saving an estimated 19 billion pounds of fuel.‎

Speaking about the newly acquired B787-9, the Traffic and Sales Manager of Ethiopia Airline, Firiehiwot Mekonnen said purchasing “the plane is part of the company’s commitment to deliver exceptional level of service to the African market by operating the latest technologically advanced aircraft in the market.‎

“Passengers have enjoyed the unique onboard features of this latest technology aircraft such as on-board comfort thanks to their unique features such as the biggest windows in the sky, high ceiling, less noise, distinctive lighting, and higher air humidity.”

Also, the Pilot of the plane, Michael Yil‎ma said the aircraft was the most economical in terms of fuel consumption and noise and noted ‎that the passengers had enjoyed the unique onboard features of the latest technology aircraft such as on-board comfort.

Yilma said that he was one of the first pilots to be trained on the aircraft, explaining that Ethiopian airline was the second to acquire the B787-9 after Japan.

According to him, “I am one the first pilots of this aircraft in the world because Ethiopia is the second to acquire it after Japan. ‎And because I have been flying Boeing for five years now, I can say that this aircraft is the best so far. ‎What makes it different from other aircraft is its noise level and it is very economical and the quality of the air in the cabin is superb.

“It is also more comfortable for passengers because the noise level is minimal and the quality of air they breathe in the cabin is also perfect.”‎

Recall that Ethiopian Airlines has always services Abuja with its newest Aircraft. It brought the Dreamliner B787 to Abuja in 2012 and Reopened the Abuja Airport this year with the A350 when the Airport was reopened after 6 weeks closure.

Ethiopian Airlines has been operating into Nigeria since 1960 and currently flies to 5 cities in Nigeria. It was the only international Airline that flew to Kaduna Airport when Abuja Airport was shut down for repairs. Ethiopian becomes the first carrier in Africa to operate the 787-9 and extends a tradition of setting aviation milestones. Ethiopian became Africa’s first carrier to fly the 787-8 in 2012, and similarly introduced the 777-200LR (Longer Range), 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 777 Freighter.
