Hate or like Nnamdi Kanu he has succeeded in where so many have failed, he has heat up the polity and in doing so has rattled Nigerians elites and the masses.
And if I may ask why is it that Nigerians and Nigerian government are afraid of referendum? Nnamdi is only calling for referendum and Nigerians and Nigerian government should understand that calling for referendum is not in anyway a call for war but a civilized way of settling political issues such as this. And also this argument about which state and people who are included will be simply resolved by just yes or no. Just let us stop all the nonsense and conduct a referendum period.

Now they are the same miscreants you all will be calling upon to vote . The only reason they are miscreants is because they are against the flagship governor of yours, if the case was reversed will you call fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters miscreants. Until people like you learn that the flagship governor as you put it was put in that position by the miscreants to work for them. Just remember you may be one of them tomorrow just by protesting for your salary from the same flagship governor. Biafra: My men nearly shot IPOB members who blocked Obiano – Anambra CP
dailypost.ng

Anambra Police Commissioner, Garba Umar, said his men almost opened fire on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who blocked Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, on Sunday.

The Biafra agitators had confronted Obiano at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Ekwulobia, Anambra State.

It was gathered that the scene was charged and restraint on the part of the police saved the day.

The IPOB members in their hundreds chanted ‘no election in Anambra on November 18’.

“The Governor had to be smuggled out by his security details,” an eyewitness said.

Confirmed the incident, CP Garba warned that the police would no longer tolerate such impunity.

“You press people should report this. We will no longer tolerate this impunity from anybody”, he told Punch.

“Why should they protest to the church? The Church is a place of worship and not a place of protest. It is obvious that they had criminal intention to attack the governor.

“The police had to stop them at the gate. If they had dared my men, it would have been a different story. We can’t watch anybody breach public peace in this state. They should be warned to desist from this impunity.”

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, had declared that the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra will not hold.

But Obiano recently fired back and warned IPOB not to cross the line by attempting to stop a constitutional process.

Two weeks ago, a group of youths, suspected to be members of IPOB, disrupted a church function attended by the governorship candidate of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, Godwin Ezeemo, at Odoekpe, Ogbaru LGA of the state.

It is only in Nigeria that law enforcement agencies sees civil disobedience as a criminal act that warrants shooting protesters. Here in America protesters block president, all elected personals.

This is the Bridge that PDP used to scam the Igbos for sixteen years. Obasanjo-Yaradua-Jonathan. Now it is President Mohammodu Buhari, the Fulani man who they love to hate that would build the Bridge for them, or would it be built by Nnamdi Kanu?
This is our problem in Nigeria our thinking, PDP may have scam the Igbos but Jonathan started building it. In as much as i faulted Jonathan for his inability to complete that project as he promised he started it, now if Buhari complete it that is his job he is our president, its only in Nigeria that continuity is a sin. What you should understand is this election has been concluded Buhari is the president. In democratic system, there will be oppositions and everyone can never vote for the same party now it happened that the Igbos voted in majority to PDP that does not make them less of Nigerians. Just imagine Obama refused to complete projects George Bush started in some state in the south which are majority Republicans. It is time to stop 'you didn't vote for me mentality', so that Nigeria will move forward as a country. And by the way this bridge will be pay by majority of the Igbos through tolls for about 25 years.

I agree with you 100% just look at a well built up city like Onitsha if that city will put value on landscaping , tree planting , removal of all those shanties attachments in their buildings, cover all the open drainage turn it to sidewalks, mark the streets, give guideline on the size of signage businesses will place on there businesses and make it mandatory to all the landlords to repaint all the houses that are ten years and above believe you me Onitsha and other city alike in Nigeria will compete with some of European cities.

That is so narrow and I think Igbos are just selfish. Even the Yorubas are not happy are constantly applying for decentralization of power in nigeria. I am for that not breaking up. Stop being selfish please. Everyone from middle-belt to Yoruba has been suffering northern oppression in this country.

One Nigeria is not about only about oil. Most Importantly about the religious distribution of states. If Igbo goes then Nigeria is pre-dominantly muslim. Nobody wants that Yoruba will go and Middle belt will go. It will lead to war and deaths of millions. Stop this please. If you want decentralize power it will help a lot.

It is either Decentralize power or North goes. How about us middle belts always classified as North, when we are north. We are used to get power but get thrown away when the northern allocation comes in.
I support you 100% on that. I am Igbo i don't want war nor do i want Nigeria to disintegrate in anyway, I want true federalism or regionalism in Nigeria. Why i have a soft spot for Biafra is because of this useless republic, decentralize power today in Nigeria believe me people like me and majority of Igbos will not entertain the idea of Biafra.

We need an expressway from Ibadan to Osogbo, from Osogbo to Ekiti and Ibadan to Ondo. Also we need to have rail line from Ibadan to Ekiti and a River Osun Bridge. You guys already have a federal airport in Enugu. We need one in Osogbo . Please do not be greedy and selfish . Let the goodies go round
I was not writing a book as you put it just that the facts are too many for a line or two. You said we have a federal airport in southeast for only one airline as you can see that to me is sorry federal project until they do the needful on the airport. I am not greedy and selfish but the truth is bitter , the second Niger bridge is one of the most important bridge in Nigeria without it Southeast will be cut off from half of the country. Fairness are when Southeast got 2.9 billion from ministry of power, housing and works when you are getting 80 something billion.

So you will now admit it that minus Lagos southwest are least developed in Nigeria. But i don't think so, southwest are more developed then the North. Now that you have admitted the obvious that southeast are more developed then southwest can you find it fit to say kudos to the Igbos because nearly all the development you see in igbo lands are self determinations. The Biafran war was fought in our lands, Igbos lost everything but they thrived to rebuild on their own . All the federal Road in southeast are dead traps, Buhari's cabinet Igbos was nearly no show, 2016 budget for the ministry of works, housing and power Southeast got mere 2.9 Billion why others are 80, 36, 20 something billion, the Nigerian customs reshuffle Southeast got a mere 4 positions while some got 36 , 24 and now the only major project in the Southeast has now stopped . A project which the Igbos will pay the money back in 25 years still it was cancelled . The federal government built a bridge across river Benue without a toll gate . So what happened to one Nigeria or is this the 5% that are at work my people..

1. The question you should be asking yourself is why N13 billion just to refurbish ordinary terminal. We are talking about refurbish and not construction from scratch when in fact N13 billion is more than enough to build a better and modern airport from scratch with even better terminal and longer concrete runway...

2. The total amount wasted on that airport so far starting from 2009 is N23 billion and the airport is still crap that foreign airlines are running away from...

3. You really need to stop the blind and irrelevant comparisons with American airports since this is not about just flooding, it's more about spending N10 to fix that situation and the job was never done, the airport still flood and the runway still doesn't
t have ILS/Instrument landing system.

Or huge amount of money was spent on the American airport you are talking about to fix the runway or address flooding and the job wasn't done and it still floods? Both issues are unrelated..
One thing you don't understand is this, you are like the rest of Nigerians who love to convict people in pages of newspapers without facts. I want to see facts. I know our politicians are all thieves there is no doubt about that, but the point i was trying to make was this, investigate this lady first get the facts before convicting her . If she in anyway found guilty let her go and pay for her sins. You are here talking about N23 billion , please let me remind you one thing, the renovation of Enugu airport started before Oduah came in as minister, she completed the work on the old terminal building and during her time was when the contract for the new terminal was awarded and yes they are building a new terminal from scratch and work are still on going, you get that and this is where the 13 billion came in and the 13 billion was for the new terminal but work is still on going. Now if you have the facts that the 13 Billion has been spent on the new terminal please put it out there let every Nigerian see it.

What's in almost obsolete enugu airport that's not in Dutse airport.

Dutse airport is not an international on paper, it's real international airport with 3.6 klm runway, probably the longest in Nigeria and caoacity to to land and fly jumbo jet. The proof is in the picture i posted and the airport doesn't flood like enugu.

You cam not even compare an almost comatose airport that was refurbished with low standards and still not up to par with dutse that was built from scratch in a modern era and with modern materials and technology.

You also can not tell me something is not missing when 13 billion was spent on an ordinary terminal against a new and better airport built for 11 billion from scratchh with longer concrete runway and capacity to fly and land jumbo jets which enugu airport with all the invisible 13 billion can not do.
Please can i ask you a question, that is if you don't mind? Have you been to Enugu airport or have you done any kind of research about this airport, Remember the terminal building we are talking about is still under construction just at the roofing stage, what are this noise all about . why is it that this project has not been completed did you think about that? its because the 13 BILLION was not payed in full, this project lack funding the 13 billion we are talking about are yet to be spend in full. The questions we need to ask are how much has been released if so so amount was released was that amount justify what was on the ground. I'm not here to defend anybody but its good to know the facts before making allegations and things sometimes are not what it looks. Let investigate this lady about this projects and if she is found guilty let her pay for her sins that is how things are done. Nigerians should stop convicting someone on the pages of newspapers. And as for the flooding of the airport, that is not only peculiar to just Enugu , I live here in America and i have seen some airport that was built with over $300 million that has flooding problems even around the world this are not new. That is not to say its okay for Enugu airport to be flooded No, but sometimes the amount it will take to solve the problem will take chunk from the budgeted amount. To compare Enugu and Dutse in terms of flooding that is wrong in the sense that the topography are different. Our problem in Nigeria is we expect quality with little and it will never happen, shining buildings are not quality until we start funding properly not when we put $1 we expect $5.
PoliticsRe: "Stella Oduah's Fraud At Enugu Airport" by jamjo: 8:00pm On Mar 27, 2016

1. You admitted that N10 billion was spent on the same airport in enugu before oduah

2. You also claimed that after the first N10 billion back in 2019, Oduah was then given N13 billion to refurbish a common terminal even though the N13 billion was more than enough to build a new and better airport from scratch with better and longer runway.

3 Now we are talking about N10 billion + N13 billion = N23 billion

4. So if better and modern Dutse international airport cost N11 billion to build, it means the N23 billion total spent refurbishing enugu airport was more than enough to build 2 modern and up to date international airport like Dutse international airport.

5. Now, after spending or looting N23 billion, Enugu airport is still not up to standard, still get flooded and still can not fly or land jumbo aircrafts, foreign airlines still won't fly in and out of enugu airport because of bad runway and not up to standard...

So exactly what are you defending here? You obviously are the one with mediocre thoughts and mentality..

SMH...
The problem with us Nigerians we enjoy mediocrity. Country like Kenya budgeted $250 million just to upgrade there old airport and we are here talking about $80 million for a new international airport shame on us. I don't want to argue with you about the cost of Dutse airport because there are other things that was included in Enugu that was not in Dutse and I'm not here also to support Oduah if she in anyway found guilty of embezzlement I'll be so happy to see her in jail .. But let be realistic here, this N13 billion which was about $80m when this contract was awarded was the total cost of this project upon completion, work are still on going on this project, so for someone to come up with accusation of N89 Billion are disingenuous when the project cost was 13 Billion. Government never have the money up front they budgeted as the project progressed . Eungu was not among the the airport to be built with the $500 million loan from China Abuja, Kano, Lagos and Port Harcourt. So i don't see how someone will embezzle such amount of money when the say money was not there in the first place.

Nigeria is lost to blind tribalism.

I thought an intelligent way to debunk the report is to analyze it point by point.

For example, was the contract awarded for N86billion?

Was a soil test done for the new runway?

Does the new runway flood?

Was the old runway done properly?

Is there a shuttle bus for passengers?

Is there a perimetre fence at the aiport?

Is there an Instrument Landing system?

Is the solar lighting on the runway working well?

Was there ever a case of a loiterer at the airport?

Can the runway accommodate big planes like Boeing 747 and 777?

Are the international airlines mentioned using the airport?

Rather than address the specific issues, you went for shameless dirty tribalism.

Is it that you lack logical reasoning? Is an airport with poor lighting, flooded runway, no ILS, no shuttle bus, no fence safe for human use?

Why are you not asking sensible questions about the shoddy execution of the contract? Abi na you be the yeye contractor?

Na wa for Nigerian youth. Many of them condone corruption more than the real thieves.
I don't want to analyze your questions but if my mind serves me better the contract to upgrade that airport was done September 3 2009 at the cost of N10 billion before Stella Oduah became the minister. The new terminal at the cost of N13 billion during her time as the minister, so please can anyone tell me where this 89 billion came from but please i wish to be corrected ..

Enugu International Airport In Progress

In a bid to revamp the aviation sector, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved the upgrade of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. The revised sum of N10,33,078,000.98 was approved for the upgrade of the airport, to give it an international standard. It is expected to begin daylight operations in December. Other approvals for the ministry of aviation include the renovation and replacement of Air Traffic Control (ATC) consoles and Very High Frequency (VHF) Radios in 13 ATC Towers for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA); and the award of contract for direct procurement of seven Airport Fire Crash Tenders for the airports. The contracts were approved during the weekly FEC meeting, chaired by President Goodluck Jonathan, which lasted for about two hours, with a total of six memos approved. The Council had, in September 3, 2009, approved the contract for the upgrade of infrastructure at the Enugu airport and it has been closed to flight operations pending the completion of works. The approval is for the augmentation of project cost for the completion of the upgrading (extension/expansion and resurfacing of the runway including CAT II AFL) of the Enugu Airport. The minister of information and communication, Dora Akunyili, who briefed alongside the minister of aviation, Fidelia Njezeh, and the minister of women affairs, Josephine Anenih, said the initial cost of the contract was reduced due to inadequate budgetary provision and that the contractor (Messrs PW Nigeria Ltd) accepted to execute the project at the revised sum of N10 billion.
