okuta007: A former Labor Congress National Chairman, Ruling Party National Chairman, 2- term state Governor and someone who ensured his successor as Governor was someone he chose- who is more qualified than him in the APC ? Is it because he is from a minority tribe ? Or because he didn’t steal enough to move around with Bullion van ? Has Bola Tinubu sat and confronted the powers that be in the country with the aim of negotiating workers welfare before ? Has anyone in this presidential race shut down the Nigerian economy before- by declaring a nationwide strike in protest of oil subsidy and other related matters ? Do you know what Nigerian Labor Congress is ? that’s the leader of every worker in Nigeria … that was Comrade Eric Adams Aliyu Oshiomole…
If not that he was infected by the Tinubu virus of wanting to become a god father by pushing his luck too far endorsing a candidate he was damaged as a thief, (Osagie Ize- Iyamu) in a state where Ize Iyamu had a toxic past - talking about the Obaseki 2020 Edo State election, Oshiomole would have been the most feared politician in Nigeria. But he is not perfect, he is only human and he made his mistake which I am sure he has learnt from.
Even the late Sage and legal luminary, Chief Gani Fawehinmi registered his disappointment in 2007 that Oshiomole would stoop low to run for Edo State Governorship… He said then, and I quote, “Why can’t he run for President ?”
Everyone here knows I am not an Oshiomole fan for personal reasons but be careful when you equate him with other riff rafts who bought the APC presidential ticket
You forget Oshiomole speaks Hausa more than Buhari and he spent most of his life in Northern Nigeria so when he starts campaigning in the north - he will be at home - And we all know he is a terrific campaigner - his dance steps and ability to speak boldly and convincingly - mix well with the masses, connect with people and discredit his opponents is his stock in trade.
And for those claiming he won’t win because of ethnic sentiments, let’s not forget, nobody is more Nigerian than anyone - so please y’all stop bad mouthing him as a nobody.
I think he is amongst the best 3 aspirants in both APC and PDP combined with a national grassroot appeal so don’t underrate him please! I wasn't referring specifically to Oshiomole per se,but the deluge of declarations within these past weeks. However,I do have my reservations about Oshiomole as a presidential candidate. You have done well to reel out the positions he has occupied so far,and his experiences.Nigeria is not a labour union. We saw how he tried bringing his labour union leadership style to APC,and how it turned out.An excellent orator doesn't necessarily make a good leader either; Osibanjo is a testament to that. |

MadamVanessa:

We know that some people who are not even igbos are in south east causing a whole lot of problem knowing very well that when they do it, some useless idiotic myopic individuals will immediately pinned it on IPOB/ESN.
Soludo home town was attacked, and what idiotic nonentities here could think of, is that IPOB are the ones. They find every slightest opportunity to ridicule KANU, why? just because KANU asked for equity and fairness in the country, if such couldn't be accomplish, let the igbos and the south southerners secede in peace. The only crime Mazi MNK committed and is being hated like this is to asked for peaceful secession as he couldn't use his eyes to see injustice bedeviled the country in a brought day light.
If there's any Organization that love the igbos , it's IPOB. It's height of irrationality for people to think that IPOB can hurt any igbos. The Nigerian government, used DSS , unknown gun men, to cause so much atrocities in Igbo land and unashamedly says it Ipob just to make igbos hate or turn against the Organization that is fighting for their liberation.
They can deceived those they want to deceive, but the igbos knows the truth and evil played by this very administration in Igbo land. We know so much about IPOB Organization, Ipob seek for the well being of the igbos, they're not terrorist as claimed by many Nigerians, the real terrorist is president Muhammadu Buhari lead administration. We never told you we were seceding with you. |

Nigerians should not be overconfident. Ghana Black stars are a tough opposition regardless of the team they bring out, especially when it's against Nigeria.
Those who saw Nigeria vs Ghana in 1992 and 2002 would understand; Nigeria was favourite but lost in Senegal in 1992 and was almost roasted by a Black star team dominated by Accra Heart of Oaks players in 2002.
I wish the Eagles the very best. |

Eternitymedia88: Federal Government's policy through the "NBC code" then helped alot in shaping the Nigerian Music industry's growth during the Obj era.
Our TV and radio stations played mostly foreign songs in the late 90's and early 2000's until they had to adhere to NBC's music broadcast code of playing only four Naija songs out of the five they played. Later, there was outright ban of foreign musicals airing during the day.
Artistes like Tony Tetuila, Plantation Boiz, Paul Play, The Remedies, Style Plus and a host of others gained prominence out of it, till it metamorphosed to what we have today.
Funny enough, Naija music is on a slow but steady downward trend now. It will be very obvious within the next decade. Don't forget Ruggedman. His philosophy that our music would be more acceptable if our artistes sang in pidgin or mother tongue.Back then in the late 90s and early 2000s, Nigerian hip-hop/rap artistes sang with American accents. That was one of his beef with Eedris, apart from the fact that his lyrics were totally wack. |

You are right. The fight was done mainly by the older generation;Onyeka Onwenu,Charlie boy,Mike Okri and co.Today the younger generation are beneficiaries. If only government can be deliberate in other facets, Nigeria would dominate Africa. |

Igboid: Haha! Nope. Map clearly delineated Igbo land. Basden said that Igbos were slaves in the "Neighborhood of Bonny", you are the one with comprehension issue. Either way, there was never a time he said that Bonny people were Ijaws. He clearly showed where Ijawland is. And he made it obvious that Abua, Ogbia, Obulom, Epie-Attisa, Andomiy, etc are not Ijaw.

Igboid: Alabo. Your Ijaw brother admitted that Basden is the all and all to settle this case as Basden claimed in the above attached report by your brother that other research done on Niger Delta were poor, which should include your Kolle Sigmund last resort. When Basden was done reviewing all previous literature on the subject matter, he ended up with the below as the authentic map of Igboland with Ijawland clearly designated to the West of Igboland.
This topic was done and dusted long ago, even JANK23H shamefully left the stage when he saw he had lost the intellectual battle on this . Basden he was hoping to ride on to land grab on Igbo territories of Bonny and Opobo, rammed a sharp sword into his entrails with that map.
You too should rest. Since you unlike JANK23H are not interested on intellectual debate, your mantra has always been "come and claim it physically". You should just chill and try and fortify yourself physically against 40million plus strong Igbo nation. Because when we finally win Bonny and Opobo in international court post Nigeria and you dare stand on our way, we will not only claim back our territories, we will occupy yours as punitive measures too. Stop mentioning this guy. This debate is over as far as I'm concerned and I've cleared your doubt. You can turn logic on its head for all I care. That map there showed were Igbos are located,in Bonny they are slaves.Do I have to teach you comprehension too? Make your head dey straight o. |
