Crime / Re: Will Ending SARS Stop The Killings? by JaphNice(m): 1:24pm On Apr 02, 2019
PatrickOkunima:
Obviously, No! If SARS is disbanded today, the members of the SARS team will continue with the killing in whatever role they find themselves in future.

Calling for an end to SARS is a good start, but that does not solve the problem. Nigerians should instead, call for a complete overhaul of all the security forces, including military and para-military.

This overhaul should include: re-orientating the men, retraining them, especially in respect to arms handling and meting out appropriate punishment for offenders.

A little explanation:

1. Reorientation - The security personnels should be made to understand what their primary responsibility is - to protect lives and properties. You'll be shocked to learn that most of them do not know. They should be taught that, no matter the circumstance, you do not draw your weapon, or point your rifle at someone you're supposed to protect.

One of the commandments given to us at the military training school, "Do not point your rifle at a friend (unarmed person)." We were told then that it was a dismissal offence to point our weapons at someone who is not armed and a threat to us, let alone pull the trigger.

I don't know the kind of message they pass to our security forces at the training school these days, but I think it should be looked into.

2. Training - Our men are not properly trained in handling rifles, especially the para-military (police, immigration, custom, NDLEA, Civil Defense, etc). Each of them you see wielding a rifle is a threat to your life. Hence, you have to be careful when dealing with them. I see lapses every day in respect of this. For instance, We're supposed to point our rifles at a certain angle and to ensure that there's no obstruction, before clearing it. A good number of these uniform guys don't know this. You see them discharge their weapons anyhow and for no reason. The government needs to do something about the training.

3. Punishment - I didn't witness this in the service, but was told that in those days, before a shooting exercise commences at the range, two graves are dug. One for the victim and one for the culprit, in the event that a soldier shoots another dead, deliberately or mistakenly. Same should be enforced. Any law enforcement agent who shoots and kills an innocent person, should face judgement, and if found guilty, executed by a firing squad, to serve as a deterrent to others.

4. Accountability - Those days in the military, you give account of your ammunition. If you're issued 20 rounds, you cannot return and handover 19 rounds to the armorer without explanation. In fact, you'll write a statement explaining how you used the ammo. A detailed investigation will be carried out to ascertain your claims.

It should be implemented fully, in all forces.

5. Mental Evaluation - Our security men should be mentally evaluated at the point of entry and periodically while in service. Anyone who fails the test should be discharged immediately. Most people will not agree with me on this, majority of these guys you see wearing uniforms are not normal. For some, their cognitive and reasoning abilities have been ruined by drugs. They're not different from armed lunatics.

Until these and other measures are implemented, the killings will not stop!

summary police is not your friend neither sars.. But God! Make God your friend today.

A group of soldiers were filmed treating their colleague who was badly injured following an IED explosion while fighting Boko Haram insurgents on the frontline.

The soldier who lost one of his legs in the explosion was very calm as his colleagues attended to him.

Just recently, military causalities were recorded after soldiers stepped on landmines reportedly planted by Boko Haram terrorists in Gwoza local government area of Borno State.

Military and civilian militia sources blamed Boko Haram jihadists for planting the mine, underlying the persistent threat to civilians in the remote region.

akinblog:
President Buhari has said he cannot remove Mahmood Yakubu as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), because he would need a resolution by two-thirds majority of the Senate to do so.

There have been speculations that Buhari was set to fire the INEC boss, following the abrupt postponement of the general elections.

However, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, insisted there was no truth in such claims.

“Those reports are utterly baseless and false. There is nothing like that.

“Whoever is saying the President is removing INEC chairman is just displaying his illiteracy. Let him go and read the constitution.

“You need a resolution by two-thirds majority of the Senate for any such action,” Shehu said according to The Nation.

INEC moved the general elections to Saturday, February 23, about six hours to the start of the polls on the original date of February 16.

A former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva has said that it took the magnanimity of President Muhammadu Buhari to give access road to the community of a former President Goodluck Jonathan in Otoueke.
Sylva, while speaking during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign in Yenagoa, reminded the people that right from the days of Sir Milford Okilo, the people of Ijaw always formed alliance with Northern Nigeria for accelerated development.

He reminded them on the need to vote President Buhari and other APC candidates during February 16 presidential and national assembly elections.
Sylva said: “APC is now a stronger party in Bayelsa State because of the performance of President Buhari. It takes the president’s magnanimity to give access road to Otuoke, the community of immediate past President Jonathan, aside from many achievements of the president in the state.”

Travel / Re: After Buhari's Visit, Petrol Tankers, Trucks Return On Lagos Bridge(Pix) by JaphNice(m): 11:53am On Feb 11, 2019
Emu4life:

Multiplier effect of corruption

1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income.

2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy.

3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good.

4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy.

5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced he plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buy half.

6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down.

7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut.

8. Things are different. Times are hard, they all cry. The young man is blaming Buhari, his wife is blaming Buhari, the area boys are blaming Buhari, the girlfriends are saying Buhari must go, the joint owner is saying Buhari killed the "economy"

9. The Asun seller is cursing Buhari, the hair stylist is insisting Buhari is too old to rule. This is the story of our nation where corruption fuels the "economy". Those who are not engaging in it are benefiting from it.

10. This tread is not about Buhari's achievement or failure, but rather about the "multiplier" effect of corruption and how we have built a system largely driven by corruption. It's about policy implication (good or bad). It's about the choices we have made.

Finally, the young man had to withdraw his kids from what he called expensive primary school his kids attend. He added:"what are they teaching them there sef " Obasanjo didn't go to a private school. I just laughed

My Take:
Most of the so called rich men and women in Nigeria before now were feeding fat on the populace, imaging a level 15 officer in a state ministry sponsoring two of his/her children's education in Europe but when TSA came to effect, free money dried up but Buhari was blamed for the inability to fund children in Europe! Awon ole jati -jati, ofan a je l'oju onile.
yea I greed with you, the multipler effect of corruption was also the reasons they increased pump price of pms, electric bill, skyrocketed price of good and services, devaluation of Naira and its weak exchange rate and above all the mass killings of Fulani herdsmen which breeds across states. It was also the reason they couldn't fulfil their bogus promises during 2015election... Just continue!

Tech giant Huawei's massive new campus, which is designed to look like a group of European cities, has left people in awe.

The campus in the Chinese city of Dongguan pls how can I apply for a job in that company?
Somebody should help please. recreates a wide swathe of Europe, from faux Italian towers to artificial lakes and classical palaces. It also has its own tram system.

The campus is split into 12 "towns," which are areas where employees work. Each town is named after a European city. There are towns including Paris, Granada, Verona and Bruges.

The campus is still being built. So far 8 out of the 12 towns have been completed.

The nine square kilometer facility can house up to 25,000 employees. 17,000 employees are currently located on the campus. There are over 50,000 employees at Huawei's Shenzhen headquarters.

Huawei's Dongguan campus is so big that a tram operates to transport employees between different towns. There's also a bridge that connects the different parts of the campus on different sides of the lake. The bridge is a replica of the Freedom Bridge in Budapest, Hungary, CNBC reports.

Politics / Re: Atiku Lacks What It Takes To Champion Anti-Corruption Drive – Ambode by JaphNice(m): 1:50pm On Dec 19, 2018
And ambode lacks what it takes to be a man when it matters most.
hisexcellency34:
Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos State governor, at the weekend took a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying he is not in a good position to champion the anti-corruption drive.

Atiku had vowed to fight corruption like never before if given the chance to preside over Nigeria’s affairs, saying he was well equipped to fight corruption because of his vast experience both in the public and private sectors and his ability to build a team capable of accomplishing the task.

“I will shock everyone because I believe that I will fight corruption like never before,” he had said.

However, speaking with journalists during the peace meeting held with aggrieved aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Marina, Ambode said there was no way any responsible leader would decide to wage a frontal battle against corruption without it fighting back.

Describing the 16 years reign of the PDP as ’16 years of corruption’, Ambode said the opposition is desperate to unseat President Buhari in 2019 so as to return Nigeria to the old ways when corruption was endemic.

Ambode who said he is aligning with President Buhari for reelection as president of Nigeria said three and a half years is not enough to reverse the rot caused by the PDP in its 16 years rule.

He said “You see, everybody is very clear about what is going on. In any environment, when you put up a crusade that you want to fight corruption, it’s very clear that corruption will always fight back. The fundamental reform about the way we do things is the underbelly for this anti-corruption drive.

“The way we do things in this country, they are not the right ways that can give us prosperity and President Buhari decided, on his own, that he would champion this crusade irrespective of how corruption will fight back.

“But again, when you have had 16 years of corruption and we’ve just only had three and a half years of reversing it, the way they are fighting back is trying to take government from him so that we can go back to our old ways of putting this country in penury, that is the crux of this election.”

MrNollyzone:
Meet My Son Jayce And Yes, Sholaye Jeremi Is His Dad! - Linda Ikeji Opens Up On Her Relationship

Finally Linda Ikeji Opens Up on her relationship, she shared this on her blog...

Read below....

Two days before my 38th birthday on September 17th, I welcomed my first child, my son, Jayce. I look at him and I wonder why I waited so long to have a child. I’ve never known love like this. I literally have tears in my eyes every time I look at him. I can’t believe he came out of me. He is by far my greatest blessing and I’m looking forward to navigating him through life!

Now to the reason why you are reading this. I argued with myself for a long time whether to put this out or not…and finally decided it was a story I wanted to share. I've always been open about my life but I'm sharing details about my personal life mostly because of the girls who look up to me. The girls I have mentored, mentoring right now and plan to mentor in the future. I’m very particular about our young girls and I have personally tried over the years to be an example in some way; tried to teach these girls how to fight for their dreams, how to live right and do right and then I go and have a child out of wedlock and that must be a little confusing to some of them and especially with so many untruthful stuff out there about me. The most hilarious is that I had a child for a married man. Lol. Here’s my answer to that! The married man that I will sleep with has not yet been born. If he’s been born, he will die, be buried, rise and die again before he will lay with me. I don’t do married men. The father of my child is a single man and his name is Sholaye Jeremi. To be honest, at some point I thought he was my final bus stop but you know how life happens...lol. Unfortunately he and I are a completely closed chapter. Sadly for our son Jayce, it’s the kind of chapter that can’t ever be opened again.

One of the things many people have asked me is how I met this man because we don’t run in the same circle. Well, I met him 3 years ago at Wheatbaker Restaurant in Ikoyi in December 2015 shortly after I moved to my home in Banana Island, Ikoyi. It was a day after Christmas and I was having dinner with friends when he walked in. He saw me and the rest is history. He claimed at the time that he had never heard of me which was seriously a turn-on for me because up until then I’d only been meeting men who behaved like fans. At the time we met, I was 35 and he was 37 and I’d been single for nearly 4 years. I was definitely searching and I fell in love almost immediately and so we became an item.

At the time I met him he lived in a 3-bedroom flat at what used to be 5th roundabout in Lekki after Mobil. I used to drive for almost two hours in traffic from my house to go see him. Most of the time, I carried my laptop to his home to enable me to work and at the same time spend the whole day with him.

It was a whirlwind romance. He was the funniest and most romantic guy I’d met up until that point, so it was easy to fall in love and I truly believed the feeling was mutual. A few weeks after we met, it seemed like we were planning a future together. This man was already calling me Linda Ikeji Jeremi and making all these plans but then just like that, it was over between us. I went from waking up every morning to love text messages from him to no more calls. I was just thanking God for finally sending me my own man when all of a sudden we were no longer talking to each other. Later he would tell me what scared him off. My public life. He claims he’s a private business man and didn’t want the attention being with me would bring to him and I told him I understood and we went our separate ways. We tried to get back together in 2016 but it didn't work out so much so we separated again but stayed in touch (mostly him to be honest), stayed friends and that was how our back and forth started.

By mid-2017, we were both still single and we started seeing each other again quietly. There were times it was very intense and we talked about a future together, and there were times that I couldn’t figure out what exactly I was doing with this guy. We were not suited for each other. Totally different lifestyles. And there was the problem of my fame. I walked away from this man a million times and he came after me a million and one times. No matter how much I pushed him away, he kept coming back and me, because I couldn’t find anyone else, I kept going back. Lol. So I was basically going back to my ex because I couldn’t find anyone else. *sigh*.

Then I fell pregnant. It wasn’t planned, it just happened; though we talked about having a child together just two months before I fell pregnant. He said something about putting a billionaire baby inside me and I remember jokingly telling him that I’m also a billionaire so our child was going to be a billionaire on both side...and we laughed. But after I fell pregnant, things became extremely weird between us. If I tried to explain what happened, I wouldn’t be able to because it was confusing to me. We went from talking about the pregnancy and being okay with it; he even suggested I go to Dubai for my pre-natals as he didn’t trust doctors in Nigeria, to literally not talking to each other anymore. Around when I was about three months pregnant, he did come to see my parents and actually became very cool with my dad. They were literally exchanging Whatsapp messages every day. He later agreed to a traditional wedding which he didn’t follow through and then he switched. He began to treat me with so much hate and aggression that I and my family had to cut him off completely.

To be honest if anybody had told me when we met three years ago, considering how deeply we cared for each other that I would fall pregnant two years later and he would completely turn his back on me for most part of my pregnancy, I never would have believed it but that’s what happened. I had to draw strength from myself, my family and close friends.

And Jayce...oh my son Jayce, he was my biggest strength. It was almost as if he knew his dad was acting up so he came through for his mum. He was gentle with me when I was carrying him. I had an extremely easy pregnancy. I pushed him out under 3 mins and was in the labour room for less than 30 minutes. And then my snapback was amazing. Three weeks later, it was almost as if I’d never been pregnant. Jayce was my soldier when his dad turned his back.

But still, I have absolutely no iota of regret meeting Sholaye. Gosh, have you seen Jayce? How can I regret that? God doesn’t make mistakes. If you believe that you’re always led by God like I believe then I have to believe that God led me to this man for whatever reasons best known to Him. I thought God sent him as my life partner but I guess He just used him as a vessel for my greatest blessing. Now his part in my story is over. I know when to put my hands up and surrender. That God brought someone significant into your life doesn’t mean they are supposed to follow you throughout your life’s journey. We should learn to know when people’s part in our story is over. Don’t fight for closure, don’t ask for explanations, don’t chase answers, just let them go and know that if God meant for you to have them in your life, He would have given them to you. Sometimes people just come to serve a purpose in your life and are not meant to stay and there’s no point holding on to them. This one is done and dusted. It’s just Jayce and I now moving forward and I know life will be beautiful for us.

Being a single mum wasn’t the dream I had for myself; I’d prayed for the kind of happy home my parents built for us (they’ve been together for 40 years). Nothing is more important to me than family. For years I’d hammered on how much I was looking forward to getting married, having children and building my own family and I believed God was going to come through for me on that one, but I have come to understand that we have no control over what life throws at us no matter how much we plan, pray, or work. And we also have no control over the actions of other people towards us. One of the things I have learnt in my life’s journey is that your idea of how life should go might be different from the way life actually goes. It’s called Life Happening. Sometimes it unfolds into something we never dreamed of but because we don’t recognize the route we find ourselves on our journey through life, doesn’t mean God won’t get us to our destination. Remember, an uncertain chapter doesn’t ruin the whole book. Life will happen whether we are ready or not. All we can do is keep our heads up and keep moving.

Family and close friends told me I owed no one any explanation about the circumstances that led to the birth of my son, but I knew without writing this, I could never stand in front of the young girls who look up to me and talk to them again. I could never go on my secondary school tour and speak with these girls again about living right and doing right. I would always feel like I have no moral right to do so. I went to 15 secondary schools in 2017 and talking to those young impressionable girls has been one of the highlights of my life. I cancelled this year’s tour because I was pregnant and I haven’t made any preparations for next year’s tour because I wanted to set things right first.

I have so many plans for young girls next year and in the coming years with the Selfmade finance and mentorship projects with international collaborations, so this was important for me to do, to explain myself to the young girls who look up to me and feel disappointed that I got pregnant and had a baby out of wedlock. For years, I have preached decency, morality and uprightness and despite what happened to me, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. That should be the only way to live. That’s the only way I live. Don’t ever compromise your values. With this, I was led by my heart and my clock ticking and even though I have no regrets, I’m sorry if I let any of you ladies down by the decision I made, and I hope you learn from my experience. I hope you do better than I did. The ideal thing would be to find a man you love, who loves you back and gives you stability, get married, have kids and raise a family, not being a single mum or a baby mama. I was 37 years old at the time I conceived and if I want to be honest, my age played a role in me allowing myself to be pregnant out of wedlock. I don’t want to be having kids in my 40s or struggling with fertility later in life. This wasn’t the plan but like I said before, life happens. You just have to find a way to make the best of what life throws at you. And so for any young girl this means anything to, I am truly sorry. I am not sorry I had Jayce, I’m just sorry I didn’t go about it the right way.

But you know, despite this crazy love experience, I still believe in love and I believe in happy endings and I can’t wait to one day, God willing, have my fairy tale ending. The father of my child is the only man I’ve given a chance to in 6 years. Lol. I swear. I’m not really a relationship kind of girl. I’m more a career girl. I can go for years without a man. I’m one of those women who don’t need a man to validate their existence but biko, I’ve done the single life enough in the past…lol… going forward I’m looking forward to giving someone else a chance and try this love thing again. I was raised in a happy 2-parents’ home and that’s what I want for Jayce. So I hope I meet a great guy soon until then I’m enjoying motherhood. It rocks! Life has never been more beautiful!

I’d also like to address a few other issues. Number one is this celibacy issue. So many people have trolled me over it and I’d like to correct the misunderstanding. I have never ever in my life said people shouldn’t have sex before marriage. NEVER EVER have I said that. I have even argued with quite a few people that it is not feasible in this day and age. What I have always said and I maintain till today is; Do not ever sleep with men for money because any woman with a brain and determination can get her own money herself. And there’s nothing sweeter than your own money. I am 38 years old and I recently bought a N100million+ car; what the heck do you need to be sleeping with a man for? For designer bags, first class tickets and luxury holidays? GTFOH with sleeping with a man for rent money! You can give yourself all that and more if you apply yourself, fight for your dream and work your butt off. Men don’t have the exclusive right to create wealth; women can also create wealth. Money is not male. Wealth is not male. Success is not male. We women just need to believe in ourselves more and get off our butts and stop relying on our looks and charm instead of our brain, mind, will, and our God given talent/gift. We can be rich, we can be successful, we can break barriers, do what was formerly termed impossible, do what men can do, be CEOs of conglomerates and billionaires without ever having to lie on our backs. Please ladies, we are powerful beyond measure and can do anything and be anything we want to be.

The other thing I’ve always said is; do not sleep around with multiple men who just use your body for their pleasure; that is; too many one night stands, casual sex, many sex partners in a short period of time all in the name of relationships. Your body deserves better. I feel sex should only happen when you’re in a loving, committed relationship with someone you love. I was celibate for many years until I met my son’s father and fell in love. And instead of increasing my body count, I just went back to the same eggplant…lol. My mistake was I should have walked away when the relationship became a waste...lol... but then again, Jayce wouldn’t be here today if I had. So really, there’s nothing that I have preached that I didn’t practice. So you guys stop trolling me over this abeg! Lol.

Thank you for reading and thank you for your understanding.

Love and kisses to you and yours

Hugs

Linda

Politics / Re: Nigeria, China Miners Association Sign Pact by JaphNice(m): 2:38pm On Dec 05, 2018
MiningNG:
Abuja – One of the big takeaways in the just concluded Mines and Money Conference in London was an agreement reached between the Miners Association of Nigeria and their Chinese counterpart in the areas of cooperation, collaboration and strengthening of bilateral economic relations in the mining industry.

President Miners Association of Nigeria, Sani Shehu who disclosed this said he and Mr Peng, the president of China Mining Association met at the conference to firm out earlier discussions held on the need to do business in mining and promote solid minerals trade between both countries.

“We have been having discussions before now for stronger ties between the two associations in view of the fact that China is the major off-taker in Nigeria’s mining products.

“We agreed in principle that Chinese Miners should source minerals they are interested in through our association. We also agreed that Miners Association of Nigeria should be guaranteed reliable off-takers of mineral products in China through the China Mining Association.”

He said the aim was to prevent the present situation whereby some members from Nigeria make supply to China but experience difficulty in receiving payments and also avoid a situation where Chinese investors fall into the hands of fraudsters in Nigeria.

“We both agreed that such cooperation will enhance trade and investment between Nigeria and China in the mineral sector. We both prepared a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be considered and deliberated upon before we are invited to China to sign the document within the first quarter of next year.

He added: “We hope to sign before the next Mining Conference in China”.

On whether the Miners Association of Nigeria can sign the dotted lines on behalf of the government of Nigeria and other business interests, Shehu said the association does its dealings around the world in line with the law.

“Members of MAN and trade solid minerals operate according to the provisions of the law. As a recognised body operating within the framework of our laws we can sell to any interested off-taker including the Chinese without breaking any law. Indeed, as a private sector association, we feel obliged to complement government’s effort of reforming the sector, attracting investors and collaborating with Chinese Miners in the area of partnership and joint ventures.

We believe this effort should be seen in the light of supporting the government’s economic diversification and investment drive through the solid minerals.” He said.

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s ICT Sector Attracted $40bn FDI In 2018 – Shittu by JaphNice(m): 10:22am On Nov 23, 2018
Is he not on service?
JaphNice:
I thought this guy is on nysc now. [qquote author=17Ebiscoo post=73221139]Minister of Communications, Dr. Adebayo Shittu has claimed that Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector has attracted increased Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from $32 billion in 2015 to $40 billion in 2018.

He made this known during the official session of the 6th Regular Meeting of the National Council on Communication Technology (NCCT) taking place at June 12, Cultural Centre in Abeokuta with a theme “Leveraging ICT as the Veritable Vehicle for Economic Recovery and Growth.”

The Minister said that the performance of the Telecommunications industry has also improved noting that there was a positive increase in the number of active telecoms subscribers with an increase from 148,70 million in august 2015 to 162.05 million as at September 2018, which is an increase of seven per cent.

According to him “Teledensity rose from 107.67 per cent in August 2015 to 115.76 per cent in September 2018, thus recording an increase of 2.47 per cent. Similarly, Broadband penetration has reached 20.95 per cent, while the percentage of internet penetration has reached a milestone 48.44 per cent, making Nigeria, second only to South Africa in the whole of the African Continent”. Shittu stated

He added that Nigerian ICT sector today is one of the fastest growing despite the economic recession and contributed 9.8 per cent in gross domestic product (GDP) in 2014. The challenge is how to leverage the opportunities thrown up by the new economy powered by ICT to address the issues of revenue, investments, cost savings, employment generation, and national productivity among others.

Shittu pointed out that this year’s meeting is unique as it focuses on how the highly acknowledged potentials of the ICT Sector can be used to achieve the main policy objectives of Economic Recovery and Growth in view of the dwindling fortunes from oil and Gas.

He said:“ In pursuit of the national agenda, we have continued to reposition the ICT sector in the areas of infrastructure and industry development, local content optimization, enabling policy, legal and regulatory framework; deepening of ICT in Government and mainstreaming of ICT into all spheres of national life among others”.

In his goodwill message, managing director, Fintrak Software, Mr. Bimbo Abioye on behalf of the Institute of Software Practitioner of Nigeria (ISPON) urged government to provide enabling environment for software industry and habit of importation of foreign goods has to change in order to create employment in the country.

Also, president of Certified Computer Manufacturers of Nigeria (CCMON) Engr. (Mrs) Adenike Abudu urged people and the government to patronize local manufacturers in order to create more jobs in ICT sector adding that through collective promotion of Nigeria we move the country to the next level.

In his address, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator, Ibikunle Amosun said, “we have also continued to ensure that economic and commercial opportunities in our dear State are further boosted through G2C (Government to Citizens) Solutions.

Politics / Re: Sanwo-olu Will Complete My Unfinished Projects, Ambode Said by JaphNice(m): 9:00am On Nov 23, 2018
Plz get small shame sir
nairafame:
Governor of Lagos state, Akinwumi Ambode, has assured that the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for the 2019 general elections, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will not abandon pending projects.

Ambode gave this assurance while inaugurating an ultra-modern lecture theatre donated to the Lagos State University (LASU) by businessman and philanthropist, Remi Makanjuola, on Thursday.

According to the Governor, while efforts were on by his administration to complete all the major projects initiated by his administration, Sanwo-Olu would nonetheless complete those ones he was unable to deliver before the expiration of his tenure next year.

“I am so excited about the fact that Mr Sanwo-Olu has actually come out here and he has issued a promissory note and what that means is that we are going to have a government of continuity.

“For whatever structures that we have in LASU right now, and I’m going to also convince our chief negotiator, Dr Wale Babalakin, we are already doing Senate building here, we are doing Students Arcade and we are also doing the library, I hope I will be able to complete and finish them but if I am unable to complete them, I speak on behalf of Mr Sanwo-Olu that he will finish and also do the Staff School.

“We are not campaigning yet but truly that is the spirit of the kind of governance that we bring to Lagos; that is the spirit that we really want to see and then we should be able to show leadership in all spheres of life that we find ourselves,” Ambode said.
