Politics › Re: Ambode Converts Mobil And Oando Filling Stations To Bus Terminal by Jarus(m): 1:16pm On Mar 01, 2017 |
mikeapollo: This is NOT a wise move. 1. Those filling stations are private properties of people/organizations. It makes no sense to destroy businesses because you want to build motor parks. Some people would lose their jobs because of this. This would also affect Mr Biggs 2. From experience, motor parks that are built very close to junctions/roundabouts end up creating more traffic and confusion.
3. If the governor is not being lazy, he should look for other locations where he can build motor parks. After they have sold all the lands to themselves, they are now looking for how to takeaway lands from private businesses in order to develop the state. The last govt. under Fashola destroyed people's shops and foolishly used the spaces to plant flowers.
4. They should look for land to build more motor parks and leave private businesses alone There is something called overriding public interest. It supercedes private business. |

Video of Yakubu doing absolutely nothing for two-and-a-half minutes goes viral as Coventry City slide deeper into relegation danger Coventry City are 11 points from safety in League One after 3-1 Swindon loss A video of veteran striker Yakubu standing around on half-way line went viral The two-and-a-half minute clip shows 34-year-old barely moving He was brought on with 20 minutes of Saturday's match remaining When Yakubu signed for Coventry City a fortnight ago, their manager Russell Slade genuinely believed the 34-year-old veteran would propel them to safety in League One. 'Yakubu brings vast experience and a terrific goal record,' Slade gushed. 'His professional career speaks for itself, having scored consistently at the highest level of English football.' Unfortunately, the reality appears to be rather different. A two-and-a-half minute clip of Yakubu in action for Coventry during their 3-1 loss to Swindon on Saturday went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons. The video shows 'The Yak' loitering around on the half-way line as the play continues at pace around him. The Nigerian appears in a daze as he wanders aimlessly around, showing little to no interest in chasing the play. At one point, a team-mate remonstrates with him for the lack of effort, but Yakubu appears completely unmoved. The clip, by Coventry fan CJ Joiner, was retweeted hundreds of times, with some describing it as 'embarrassing'. Yakubu came off the bench with 20 minutes remaining with Coventry trailing 2-0 thanks to goals from Nicky Ajose and Jonathan Obika in the first-half. The Sky Blues conceded a third, against from Ajose, within seconds of Yakubu joining the fray, though they did gain a stoppage time consolation via George Thomas. The result deepens their relegation gloom - Coventry are rock bottom and 11 points from safety. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4261034/Video-Yakubu-doing-goes-viral.html |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Real Reason Interviewers Ask This Question. by Jarus(m): 8:49am On Feb 23, 2017 |
shutupareyouGOD: I had always wondered why some interviewers ask the where did you hear about this job question until an experienced HR person told me the truth. He said they asked to know if you heard about the job through a staff of the company i.e referral basis and how strong the referral is. This atimes guarantees you the job. So if you know a staff of any company you are going for an interview do state the person and not say the usual social media or company website answer. For most serious companies, it is to measure the effectiveness of the various mediums of communicating vacancy availability. |

HenryQuest: Grading system is one of the problems we have in this country. We have made it that students no longer study to know but study to pass. At the end of the day, we produce students who passed based on grade but not in actual field or practical performance. So who told you those that bested you in grade cannot best you in "actual field or practical performance"? I don't know where people get this assumption that you cannot make a good grade and still be a performer. |

But he didn't (but suddenly started after the mental challenge), likely Jinn possession. My fear is people falling for the Jinn antics of misleading them by starting to commit shirk from this man from things like praying to him, believing he can do anything to change their fortune etc |

youalreadyknow: It showed you never watched Kanu in his prime helping his teams win major trophies in Europe. Kanu shared dressing rooms wit some of football's great, who did okocha share dressing rooms with? Kevin Nolan and mendy. Kanu was pivotal In Pompey's FA cup triumph, under 17 1993 and Olympic 1996. Okocha is over hyped jor. We're talking of individual achievements in EPL. Jayjay is the only Nigerian player to ever get nominated for PFA Player of the Season in EPL. He also won Player of the Month award. Kanu never did. |
