elampiro: To me, head office is for lazy ones when it comes to banking. I don't know of others. You're taking mental/intellectual load for laziness. HO guys are more of strategy/tactical guys who use their brains more. Branch activities are mainly operational - process. Less strategic thinking. They're not lazy. Their work just requires more brain than routine processing oof document which takes more time and less mental requirement. |

On a personal note, I work in the Head Office, and here are some benefits
1, More visibility to top guys 2, Enjoyment of some benefits in kind not enjoyed by guys on the field (football pitch for HO guys, bigger end of year parties than for field guys etc)
What I miss
1, Guys in our field locations don't experience Lagos traffic, can get to office or return home within 15 minutes etc. |

moscobabs: Head office has not been easy for a non management staff in some companies hence some staffs prefer to be in other locations so they can engage in other activities apart from their primary assignment.
For those working in Head office, why do u prefer working there and what are the challenges you are facing?
Those in branch offices, what are those things you are enjoying apart from freedom And what are the challenges your encountering ?
Let learn from you guys.

Cracyman Head office for me Pros of Head Office 1, You tend to be noticed easily by key decision makers and that may speed up your rise in the company Con of Head Office 1, More pressure Pro of Branch 1, Less pressure, and a little more independence (or if you like, laziness) Con 1, Folks at HO may have faster promotion 2, At some point, you may lose motivation and become complacent and probably static in your career |

Romance › Re: Island Residents Are Refusing To Date Mainland Residents And Vice Versa by Jarus(m): 7:19am On Feb 03, 2017 |
In December last year when we had our university class reunion at a hotel in Ajah (Island), some of our mates on Mainland did not come on the ground that Ajah is too far and some of us from the Island influenced the choice of venue (which is not true). They also forgot that the venue for prior year was Ikeja, and we Island people did not complain
Meanwhile, while our Mainland members complained, people came from Abuja and Ibadan. |

Like many people have said, for OAU, it is a wrong time to compare. OAU is probably in its all-time low, and the popular views here reflect that. Those arguing in favour of OAU are arguing from a weak side. We had similar debate on NL here in 2009 and OAU had the most positive review. https://www.nairaland.com/147071/unilag-vs-oau-ife-vs-ui |
