Gbawe:Agreed. I watched his campaign in one of Ogun villages few days ago and I was impressed with the way he spent time selling Buhari even more than his own candidacy when he had gone there to campaign for his own second term. |
prince0001:1 plot of land for 2.5m. Exclusive of agency and agreement which we have not finalized but may be up to 300k. I shared it into two half-plots with my brother. So I'm doing this on half-plot. That said, a plot generally sells for between 4-6m in this area. I got mine that cheap because of my familiarity with the elders of the community having lived around the place for 6 years now as a tenant. I play football with their children and all that, so i've become more or less indigene (omo Onile myself). I got it directly from Baale (head of community). I have paid 250k to omo Onile so far. |
Costs so far is about 4m (land cost and omo Onile fees exclusive) |
I brought it to this stage within 2 months. Although the land was bought in February last year, we didn't start until late December 2014, 2 months ago. |

prince2blinks:Yes, a 3 bedroom bungalow. There is a plan for BQ at the back but that one has not started. I wanted something I can finish within one year or less. |
aishaquest:Thanks. I think this is the common building system in Nigeria. Maybe some mega-rich guys in Ikoyi use the America-style wood etc. |
bushdoc9919:"We are relieved we don't have a vote in this election. But if we had, we prefer a former dictator to a failed president" That summation by The Economist magazine, captures the disposition of the international community to this election. |
I know some PDP governors are working behind the scene for APC/Buhari, but Akpabio is the last person to do so. It looks like some political enemies of Akpabio planted that story in the paper to create confusion between him and GEJ. Or that paper was just trying to stir controversy to increase their sales/publicity. Just my thought. |
Immediate reaction: I will slap her back (non-negotiable) Long term reaction: Depends on circumstances, but it will be very hard if sending her out is not the result. |
The ones I watched 1, Zidane 2, Ronaldo De Lima 3, Ronaldinho 4, Messi 5, C. Ronaldo I didn't watch Pele, and only twilight of Maradona. |
I no dey for this kain gallantry o Na so we say the other guy (Akabogu of same Channels) dey gallant until he was killed by Boko Haram in Kano blast of 2012. Personal safety first abeg. |
Elxandre:abi. can't remember seeing Dangote showing off his cars whe he's got more important things to do. |
He doesn't have 1% of Dangote's money. I cant remember seeing articles about cars Dangote uses. I can't remember seeing a number plate reading Dangote 1, Dangote 2. |
When I saw that advert in THISDAY weeks ago, I knew straight away it was the handiwork of PDP. I didn't know it was even Fayose. |
Stay with Diamond bank, if not for anything, because of the brand. You can use the Diamond Bank brand to get better opportunities in the banking sector. Also, some of these MFBs are not that stable. They cut pay at will, delay salaries, tie salaries to targets and all that. |
I think Buhari should stop open campaign in the North. |
ilugunboy:Oh, wow, I didn't know o. Thought you had all your schooling in the south here. |
ilugunboy:Bros, you don live for Maiduguri before? |
Much as an opposition sympathizer me feels happy at every action that depletes the behemoth that PDP is, I think there should be line of decency. Obasanjo has the right to association or dissociation, but I think there is some measure of statesmanship and honour expected of someone of his caliber - an international figure, not just any local politician. There are more honourable ways to quit PDP for an Obasanjo than tearing PDP membership card in public. |
In his earlier reaction, the president accused Mr. Obasanjo of harbouring an ambition of heading an interim government after instigating a constitutional crisis in the countryDoes this mean the question is who will head ING, not whether there will be ING? Does this validate the suspicion of ING against the government? |
Politics without bitterness. |
Ishilove:Yes, we met inside inter-city bus but did not talk throughout. I made efforts at her to notice me, she didn't (or maybe pretended she didn't) until she stopped at her own bus stop and I had to stop and followed her like twitter before one shop owner she was shopping intervened on my behalf to give me her number. ![]() Immediately I received her number, 50% of my job was done. ![]() We still taunt ourselves anytime we passed through that place. |
Beautiful yet humble - that was the first impression I had. I stopped at an earlier bus stop just to collect her number!!! |
hmmnnn |
whirlwind7:My brother, I saw one in Ajah one night last year. The Land Rover parked into a shop so fittingly. And it was an accident. |
joseph1013:Because they know their business will perform better under right environment, not this arm-twisting to fund campaigns. |
oyb:@bolded, I heard that one too. Just didn't include it because of related party. |
