An an aside, my respect grows for Amosun. He is one performing politician who has carried the Buhari project on his head far more than others. He is almost always visible and present anywhere Buhari is since the General won the APC primaries in Lagos. Good to note Amosun is a man of conviction.

Agreed. I watched his campaign in one of Ogun villages few days ago and I was impressed with the way he spent time selling Buhari even more than his own candidacy when he had gone there to campaign for his own second term.

Great job you're doing and congratulations..... Am just curious to know how much you purchased this plot of land. Am also thinking of getting the same size around Ajah axis and do you also have any link as to how I can purchase one.
1 plot of land for 2.5m. Exclusive of agency and agreement which we have not finalized but may be up to 300k.

I shared it into two half-plots with my brother. So I'm doing this on half-plot.

That said, a plot generally sells for between 4-6m in this area. I got mine that cheap because of my familiarity with the elders of the community having lived around the place for 6 years now as a tenant. I play football with their children and all that, so i've become more or less indigene (omo Onile myself). I got it directly from Baale (head of community).

I have paid 250k to omo Onile so far.
PropertiesRe: My Construction Journal 2 by Jarus(op):
Costs so far is about 4m (land cost and omo Onile fees exclusive)
PropertiesRe: My Construction Journal 2 by Jarus(op): 2:30pm On Feb 21, 2015
I brought it to this stage within 2 months.

Although the land was bought in February last year, we didn't start until late December 2014, 2 months ago.

I wanted something I can finish within one year or less.

This is interesting. Is there no wood construction in Nigeria? I've noticed everything, even the inside walls, are done in brick. I've heard from others that this is common. Here in the US, even those structures with brick outer walls have wood framed inside walls. Is it cost, unavailability of materials, stronger construction, just the way it's done there, or what? Just wondering.

Congratulations btw. This will be a nice place when done. smiley
Thanks.

I think this is the common building system in Nigeria. Maybe some mega-rich guys in Ikoyi use the America-style wood etc.

PoliticsRe: Akpabio Secretly Donates To Buhari's Campaign? by Jarus(m): 4:12pm On Feb 19, 2015
I know some PDP governors are working behind the scene for APC/Buhari, but Akpabio is the last person to do so.

It looks like some political enemies of Akpabio planted that story in the paper to create confusion between him and GEJ.

Or that paper was just trying to stir controversy to increase their sales/publicity.

Just my thought.

Immediate reaction: I will slap her back (non-negotiable)

Long term reaction: Depends on circumstances, but it will be very hard if sending her out is not the result.

Stay with Diamond bank, if not for anything, because of the brand. You can use the Diamond Bank brand to get better opportunities in the banking sector.

Also, some of these MFBs are not that stable. They cut pay at will, delay salaries, tie salaries to targets and all that.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Tears PDP Membership Card In Public by Jarus(m): 12:33pm On Feb 16, 2015
Much as an opposition sympathizer me feels happy at every action that depletes the behemoth that PDP is, I think there should be line of decency.

Obasanjo has the right to association or dissociation, but I think there is some measure of statesmanship and honour expected of someone of his caliber - an international figure, not just any local politician.

There are more honourable ways to quit PDP for an Obasanjo than tearing PDP membership card in public.
PoliticsRe: Why Obasanjo Attacks Jonathan – Fani-kayode by Jarus(m): 8:11am On Feb 16, 2015
In his earlier reaction, the president accused Mr. Obasanjo of harbouring an ambition of heading an interim government after instigating a constitutional crisis in the country
Does this mean the question is who will head ING, not whether there will be ING? Does this validate the suspicion of ING against the government?

If I recall you met her during an inter-state bus trip and the two of you got talking like you had known each other or ages.cheesy How romantic smiley

It is only pervs one meets in buses these days angry
Yes, we met inside inter-city bus but did not talk throughout. I made efforts at her to notice me, she didn't (or maybe pretended she didn't) until she stopped at her own bus stop and I had to stop and followed her like twitter before one shop owner she was shopping intervened on my behalf to give me her number. cheesy

Immediately I received her number, 50% of my job was done. grin

We still taunt ourselves anytime we passed through that place.

Beautiful yet humble - that was the first impression I had. I stopped at an earlier bus stop just to collect her number!!!

I've only seen this happen in foreign movies cheesy cheesy cheesy

If someone happened to have a cam rolling when it happened and caught the incident on tape,
maybe them nollywood empty head producers woulda bought the clip to be used in a movie...and save on trying to come up
with horrid visual effect.

But seriously, this incident is cray. Im just wondering how fast the car was moving when it happened.
My brother, I saw one in Ajah one night last year. The Land Rover parked into a shop so fittingly. And it was an accident.

Suraj, I'd like to ask: why do these support Buhari when they could easily stand with Jonathan and continue to loot the treasury together? Because I'm aware that Buhari would sanitize alot of things that would eat into the profits of most of these corporate guys. What's in it for them?
Because they know their business will perform better under right environment, not this arm-twisting to fund campaigns.

What do you expect, when the man is driving their companies to bankruptcy.

Plus the ceos are all overachievers and jona is just a drunken lout. There is a limit to how much you can endure having to kowtow to an slowpoke.

It is only failed businessmen like ifeanyi ubah who want four more years of subsidy fraud

Your former oga at the top more or less said the same thing in our town hall meeting.

If you heard of the hardcore monthly performance reviews - you will know people who demand above expectation will have no use for the shamelessly underperforming Jonah
@bolded, I heard that one too. Just didn't include it because of related party.
