Inna lilahi... This is not far from my area. In fact, I dropped someone sending goods to Abuja at the park this morning. The only time I had an accident, it was on that route (Awoyaya). Fiberesima or wetin be her name (that celeb that was jailed for killing one Dr. Giwa) killed someone on that route (Abijo0. Accident happens too often on that route. I banned my wife from driving on that route. I refused to rent apartment after Ajah roundabout for fear of that route. All the 500k/plot lands on that route never interest me because of that road. Anytime I have cause to use that expressway, I see accidents. I dread that Ajah-Sangotedo-Abijo-Awoyaya-Lakowe-Epe road. |
The amounts are ridiculous and far from representing Top 10 Highest Paying Jobs as the title suggests. I'm not even a Finance Manager (just an accountant that reports to a Finance Mgr) and I earn more than the highest on the Top 10 up there. The compilation is not scientific. Maybe it should have been Top 10 Highest Offers by Naij Advertisers. |
The writer of the article, Fagro, is a close friend. He also writes for my blog. In fact, he is also the anchor at the forthcoming Jarushub conference. The person he wrote about, Dotun, who wedded penultimate weekend, is another friend. (All of us from Ife). Interestingly, I never knew Dotun was on Nairaland. |
Alhamdulilah. May Allah reward you all especially the nairalander (who of course won't want his name mentioned even though we all know him) who conceived the idea of this project some months ago. This is the real essence of being a muslim - Worshipping Allah and putting smiles on other people's faces at the same time. I hope this will be a yearly event inshaAllah. May Allah help us. The importance of charity cannot be over-emphasized in Islam. Would very likely have attended if only I was around....should have mentioned this to Jarus when I ran into him a few weeks ago at Dolphin estate as I left Nigeria some days after & won't be back anytime soon.[/quote] Salaam alaykum My brother, why you fall my hand nah You no tell me Let's continue via my email. *****Jarus enters the bar, slams the door, bangs the table, with a copy of result of Offa LG elections that held yesterday****** APC - 11,526 PDP - 4,668 Kwara SIEC declares PDP winner!!!! ****Rushes back***** OccupyOffa. |
It is not possible for PDP to win council elections in Offa. I fail to agree. I contact my people at home on daily basis, and we get update from Facebook every hour. It is not possible. Apart from the APC candidate, Saheed Popoola, being extermely popular among the people, Offa people have never liked PDP. #OccupyOffa |

I pity Nigerians that always dismiss their chance with this connection argument. Too bad. X-fire, good job for trying to explain things to them. |
Skills to retain you and not necessarily to hire you, because your proficiency in some of these may not be measurable until you're employed and begin to work. However, I have seen people that are poor in verbal and written communication and still retain their job in Nigeria, due to other skills. I have worked with people that cannot speak three sentences without bomb, yet they keep their job becaus ethey are very effective in their their job. And I'm not talking about public sector o, Im talking about oil companies. Overall, nice list. |

I fell out with someone because of that question. She put on her dp, message of death of someone, a young man. After condoling her, I asked what killed him, and she took offence in it. I stood my ground that I had not done anything wrong. I ended up deleting her from my BB after exchange of words on BBM. She was a Nairalander sef. |
I enjoy this lecture, from a usual suspect. ![]() |
Only 3 since 1999, so not much to prepare. Atiku, overbearing, Jonathan, just reading newspapers in office, sambo, just meeting traditional rulers on courtesy visit. |

samuelfemo: we need to understand that mourhino won the champions league as a coach for the first time with eto part of his team in inter,he wants to work the miracle again, watch out.No, he earlier won with Porto. |
Ola Johnson: I've been to both UNN and UNEC in Enugu; I gratduated from OAU, I can boldly say no school in Africa is as beautiful as OAU.Africa, not sure. But Nigeria, none. (Even the private unis may only have better facilities, none comes close to Ife in terms of structure. |
Ola Johnson: Awo Zoo (coffee room) to be specific. However, upon the locking of that place, students continued the flogging popularly known as SMS and MMS in Awo dining hall (café). I stopped watching them when a security man that tried to apprehend Saburi was apprehend by students and given the beating of his life.have they locked Awo coffee room? That is teh venue of Maximum Shi Shi? If you ever witness maximum shishi being meted on someone, you will never steal 1 kobo or associate with cultism. |
Coogar, You appear to know Ife more than me that spent 5 years there. I don't know anywhere in quarters. Only visited once. I spent 5 years on that campus, stayed on campus throughout, but barely know half of that campus. |
