Policewoman: It's like this MOD is an IFE graduate. See as him just move this to front page.
Great Ife has a special place. It's not just an ordinary university.

After all, we trained Seun and Seun gave you Nairaland. cheesy

saxywale: Okija missed out the staff quarters(a small country inside a uni)... or maybe someone gave him a clue that he would get lost due to the tricky nature of the staff quarters road network.
Interestingly, in my five years in that school, only visited staff quarters once or twice.

Pls, before you make conclusions and deductions based on a shallow observation and a weak exposure, always make sure you've travelled far and wide to all states. You can not live in Lagos and assume, UI or OAU or UNILAG is the BEST..
It sounds s¡lly pls..[/quote]Whose fact is shallower? someone that posted more than 20 pictures and someone that posted single picture of a hostel?

In any case, rooms are personal. I have entered Moremi rooms that are more beautiful that the pic of Atiku's ABTI you posted there.

the quarters is as big as lekki - i wonder why okija's iPad didn't capture the VC's lodge that looked like saddam hussein's fortress.

3ace: During 100 level days before I understood the structural connection of those three buildings, I will go downstairs from Admin, then move to social sciences and climb up again. The day I discovered through a friend that I could move from Admin to social sciences without taking my usual, stressful and idiotic route, we were both laughing that we drew attention.

Afam4eva: I thought when they say a school is a federal school, it means it belongs to the federal government. if this school was built by a regional government then i'll say it's impressive.
Built by regional govt, taken over by FG in 1976 or so.

No regional govt again, some of the regional govts assets, those not taken over by FG, are now co-owned by states that now made up the old region e.g Oyo, Osun, Ondo etc (former Western region) own Oodua investments now. New Nigerian newspaper etc owned by all northenr states (that made up old northern region).

Btw, which government built OAU?
Awolowo/Akintola govt of western region (1962).

Afam4eva: He may be right. The truth is that i've never seen a campus that's more beautiful than what i've seen on this thread. Though i'm not sure about Africa oo. But it can be the most beautiful in Nigeria.
Africa, used to be, but doubt it is now. But Nigeria, none comes close (in terms of aesthetics).

I agree with OP.

I also live on this route and drive it many times a week (although I don't drive to work everyday).

I have had causes to complain several times about how that road is poorly lit.

People also take the pedestrian bridges for granted.

A policeman was knocked to death by a vehicle around Lekki roundabout couple of months back, just under the pedestrian bridge. Instead of using the pedestrian bridge, he decided to cross the road. Ironically, the policeman was probably stationed there to ensure pedestrians use the bridge!

Only very few people are popular forum-wide. Some people are super-popular in Politics, for example, and when you mention their names in, say, Romance, you hear people asking wh they are.

Apart from Seun and Mukina, who are obviously the most popular, only very few people are popular beyond few sections.

Politics › Re: I Will Vote For Jonathan In 2015. What About You? by Jarus(m): 9:08am On Aug 25, 2013
I don't have any problem with anybody openly declaring for a candidate. We all have political preferences and being a moderator to me should not prevent one from openly expressing his political preferences. After all, Seun himself openly declared preference for GEJ in 2011 elections. Alll these things are in order, to me.

However, I have read here that I used my mod position to promote Buhari in the last elections. This is wrong. All what I did for Buhari on this section I could have done them without being a mod. I didn't need to be a mod to start a campaign thread, I didn't need to be a mod to coordinate it (I have coordinated many threads without being a mod). I never banned anybody on the basis of the thread(Mods didn't even have banning power then), I never stickied the thread, the thread passed through the hp but I didn't have power to send a thread to hp and I can't remember recommending it to the Supermod who had such power. These are things that if I did, I can accept 'promoting' Buhari. All what I did, I could have done same without being mod; I never used mod power to do any favour to the campaign. And I allowed PDP/GEJ to also freely promote their candidates. But trust Nigerians, they will always cry foul. The perceived dominance of Buhari/Bakare team on NL then was simply because they were more vocal and more in number - the Bakare church people, the widespread PDP hatred, the tendency for opposition to be more vocal etc. If you conduct a poll on NL today, I'm sure opposition will still thump PDP/GEJ, is Jarus still the mod?

Even at that Beaf, Jakumo and others openly operated against Buhari with caricatures and many damaging threads, I never stopped thEm from doing so.

I don't have any problem with Afam openly declaring for PDP/GEJ inasmuch as he is able to rise above his personal sentiments.
This is the science of all these politics.
