That's why I said it was doable, very doable. In fact in my case, I had to call them to come and collect their paper far before time was up.

afam4eva:
I raise my hat for Anambra. That state has the highest number of Influencial people in any state in Africa. There's no competition. Ogun takes second in Nigeria. They're the Anambra of the west.
I am still not convinced. I believe Ogun comes first. I ahve asked the Anambra people to bring their First 11 or Top 10 and let's compare with Ogun's.

A state that has produced Three Presidents(obj military, obj civilian, Shonekan), one VP(Diya), one elected but denied president(Abiola), Awolowo(Top 5 most powerful political leader in Nigeria's history).

Nigeria's only Nobel Laurette(Soyinka), Mike Adenuga(Top 3 living businessman, entrepreneur, richest Nigerian). And somebody is comparing some Nollywood stars or some ordinary ministers.

If what I wrote in 2006 is still what they are still using, then I'll say it's simple, one of the easiest I have ever taken, personally speaking(scored 71%).

55 questions, verbal and quantitative mixed, 90 minutes, then you will be asked to write an essay, not more than 100 words,  on what you will do in 100 days if elected president of Nigeria(don't waste much time on that one, it will not be part of assessment).  Passmark is 60%. Good luck
@tkb417 and co. you guyz seem to be in the know about the happenings in the IB world.
I have just recently graduated with a degree in Economics and awaiting NYSC Batch A. I was hoping you guyz could put me thru on hw to get an IB gig for my NYSC. I am seriously interested in places like vetiva and BGL. I was also thinking I could send you a copy of my CV to give me some advice.
Thank you. grin
I did my pre-NYSC in Vetiva. These companies take corps members, subject to being posted to Lagos and passing their test. So go drop your CV, but they don't take more than 2 corpers.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Vetiva, Bgl, Arm & Kakawa Recruitment by Jarus(m): 9:23am On Feb 21, 2011
I've got a couple of people there, till now.
If you have fine CV(good degree plus professional qualification), you will be called for test, if passed(passmark is 60%), you will have first stage interview(panel interview), if successful, you will meet the MD or DMD for a final chat. Like other firms in that sector, Vetiva is no longer as juicy as it used to be, pay and other benefits wise. I don't know the entry level pay is now but their second level(coming with 2-3 years experience elsewhere) is 4.7m pa.

Was on wheel almost thruout today and couldn't update the question. Just went thru all the new posts today and glad the thread was kept alive with interesting questions. I'm still researching to update the question bank. But in the meantime, let's take the questions to 50.

Hey stop misattributing success. Moghalu, like any other member of CBN team, deserves credit, but to say he is the brain behind Sanusi is taking it too far. Sanusi had taken a number of major actions even before Moghalu came on board.

Wetin Mallam sabi? If by now, you still haven't seen Sanusi's brilliance, then I'm afraid something is wrong.

Bear, as the ambassador on NL Politics section being our reigning poster of the year, we advise you to thread softly on the Ojukwu coward or no coward trend, else this thread gets out of control. Thanks.

Politics › Re: Great/famous People From Your State! by Jarus(m): 11:08pm On Feb 18, 2011
Easy guys. Stop the cowardice argument. Diya and Ojukwu are famous, if not great. Diya was a former No 2 man in the country and clearly qualifies to make the list of any state. Ditto for Ojukwu. The thread is not about 'Most Courageous/Gallant Person from your state' but most famous/great.

I need more answers to the existing questions, especially no 29, before proceeding.

29, Convert this sentence to Batu English: "Nuhu Ribadu owns two houses abroad, gotten from stolen money while in government(EFCC). Does that look like change to you? Even according to Sowore, Tinubu was involved in drug deal and money laundering in the USA"

No, Eleganza boss, Okoya, is a core Lagosian, original omo eko. It is his friend and another giant industrialist, Samu Adedoyin of Doyin group that is from Kwara.

For Hausa, I think Katsina should take the crown.
Politics › Re: Great/famous People From Your State! by Jarus(m): 12:32am On Feb 18, 2011
@Ramon,
Let me take Ogun and let's compare. Draw up your Top 10 from Anambra and I'll do Top 10 from Ogun and people will judge which list is more intimidating.

@fstranger,
Adesoye started before Olasore. In fact, I'll say Olasore copied Adesoye after he saw the success of Adesoye's college. Adesoye started his own school in 1987, and Olasore around 1995.

In any case, both of them are friends from secondary schools. Offa Grammar School(Adesoye 1956 set, Olasore 1955 set, Justice Salami 1961 set I think, and me Jarus 2000 set). I have interviewed Adesoye in the past as president of my set old boys.

In any case, Ogun is easily the numero uno producer of great/famous personalities in Nigeria.
OGUN: 2 Presidents(Obj, Shonekan), 1 VP(Diya), 1 almost-president(Abiola)
KATSINA: 2 Presidents(Buhari, Umoru Yar'adua), 1 VP(Shehu Yar'adua)
NIGER: 2 presidents(IBB, Abdussalam).

No, Tony is from Oro, Kwara. Only grew up in Lag.
I know Yekini quite well. His father is from Irra village, mother from Offa, all in Kwara. I still saw his house in Offa the last time I travelled home. He grew up in Kaduna though, but now lives in Ibadan.
