Gurus in the house..i just want to ask if its possible to get a positive response(visa granted)in 1week with priority service.I mean how common is such response at this time of the year
I got a priority within 9 working days.

I'm not sure about 5 days.

But there is a super priority that is said to be 24 or 48 hours (very expensive), I think that one should be able to come out within 5 days in worst case.

olawale780:
thanks bro, He subscribed to d priority service on Gov.uk website, is he going to buy it again at Tlscontact?
Ok

He could pay for walk-in at TLS. Just go without appointment and pay for walk-in, you will be attended to.

olawale780:
Please I need clarification on this. My brother is suppose to travel to UK on 16th of September and leave UK on 21st. wch is estimated to b 5 days according to the form he filled on gov.UK.
D issue here now is that he has payed for d visa fee but was unable to get an appointment date under 16th, he got 17th of September for his appointment date to submit his documents at TLScontact. Wch is contradicting to his arrival date of 16th on the form he filled on gov.uk
I don't know if this will affect his Uk Visa
You may want to try priority. You walk in without appointment, pay priority fee, and get attended to for biometrics same day. But 16th September is too close for even priority.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jarus(m):
cerezo:
Did you do priority or just regular application.
Regular.

I did priority last year and I picked it on the 11th working day or so.

I did regular 2 years ago, and I picked it on the 13th working day.

This is the longest, took 18 working days (if I counted Nigeria public holidays, if not, 16 days).
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jarus(m): 4:51pm On Sep 11, 2018
Finally got email that I should come pick my passport.

I did bio 15 August, so that's 18 working days (I counted 2 days ileya holidays because it's a Nigerian, not UK holiday).

The longest time ever, but not bad.

Nothing to worry about.

This is my 4th UK visa application, never been refused. This is the longest though.

I hope they remember the personal income taxes of individuals are due to states, not FIRS.

He should chase their companies. That is even if they made the money from incorporated businesses (companies).

PoliticsRe: Adekunle Akinlade Emerges APC Ogun Governorship Candidate by Jarus(m):
EsotericMonk:
I'm sorry for reading too much into this but there is something with APC and their candidates. Whenever they have a chance to pick a Muslim, be rest assured that the Muslim would be picked as governor.

The few exceptions in which SW elective positions of note have gone to a Christian, it was one in which they either had no choice or their hands were tied.

This is my personal observation, don't coman tell me how an insignificant Ward councilor position or deputy governor position was given to a Christian.
Cry me a river.

SW has 6 states. Muslims have 3, Christians 3.

If this guy replaces Amosun, and that Osun guy replaces, Aregbe, the equation has not changed as Akeredolu, Ambode and Fayemi are still Christians.

In fact, for that reason, Ajimobi should pick a Muslim so Muslims can still have 3/6. This is just for argument purpose (by this commenter's cry), I dont care who Ajimobi picks.

This Ogun state you are crying about has had 4 civilian governors (Onabanjo, Osoba, Gbenga Daniel and Amosun), Amosun is the first and only Muslim. All other 3 are Christians. If this guy wins, he will only be the second Muslim.

In the history of SW, more Christians have been governors than Muslims. Go check your facts.

Reasonings like yours are very unfortunate.

Nawao. Who is he?

One quiet politician will just easily get a position many career politicians have been chasing for decades.

I don't see any reason why I should attach bank statement when my company has written that it will foot the entire costs.

The only time I use bank statement is when it's a private visit to the UK.

Car TalkRe: Most Important Rules To Know When Driving At High Speed by Jarus(m):
6, Be careful of sudden swerve, no matter how small.

The only time I had accident, July 2009, this was what caused it.

It was at Awoyaya on Ajah-Epe expressway.

I was meant to turn at a turning but I wasn't sure of the exact turning.

I was on the fast lane and on speed, looking at each turning point to be sure of which to turn.

While looking for the turning, I was losing concentration, and the car was drifting from the road to median. I noticed one leg (tyre) of the car was about leaving the road and caressing the median, and I spontaneously swerved back to the road.

I lost control. The car spun. There was a loud bang. It made a 180' degree spin. Left the road, returned to the road. It was like a movie.

I thought the car would somersault. I just held on to steering with my 2 hands (as #1 up here suggested). I had lost control of the steering, just holding it.

Thank God I was on seat belt.

But it would have been worse, the side of the road I hit was a bus stop, where people normally wait. Thank God there was no one at the bus stop that morning. There may have been fatality.

Unfortunately, when my car stabilized and I came out unhurt (the car bumper damaged), the area boys that came to help me still demanded money before I could drive away the car after I recovered from the shock.

they look into your account balance too , i had a bitter experience 2015 . i applied with all the document but had just 2.2m in my account i was rejected but the guy beside me had 6m in his account , he didnt add much to his application but he got his visa. so when you are applying with a company account you have to show your fat account balance or rather go for tourist visa .
Interestingly, for all my official trips, I have never attached any bank statement (whether mine or company's) and I always get the visa.
