delpee: He's been persistent over the years under PDP. He almost won at a time. His move to APC has made it easy for him this time.
The best way forward for young politicians is to get involved in community service and to really work hard during elections. People at the grassroots value those who relate with them on a regular/ consistent basis. One person who comes to mind in this regard is Engr (Hon.) Gbolahan Yishawu, the House of Assembly rep..so well loved because of his health, education and other programs for his people. Thought I was the only one that noticed this about this Yishawu guy. Always in touch with his base. |

I'm not sure of the exact pay at NLNG, but I know it is one of the industry leaders in the oil and gas industry.
Anyone earning 1.6m gross per month will go home with about 1.2m after tax and pension deductions.
This is not impossible.
IOCs do something close to - or as good as - this. I know at least 3 of the big 5 IOCs pay entry level N1m plus net.
Don't forget NLNG is an incorporated JV of NNPC, Shell, ENI and Total. These companies second employees to NLNG and they need to be kept as comfortable as they were in these IOCs.
In other words, IOCs are the standard for NLNG.
I seriously doubt NLNG pays 1.6m net for entry level, but I will not be very surprised it pays 1.6m gross (i.e 1.2m net). |

I love Nigeria and never planned to live outside Nigeria, but my first visit to Dubai UAE about 6 years ago tempted me. Life was so easy. Decided to make sure I go there for holiday yearly or at least once in 2 years.
Been to these countries in all: England, Scotland, France, Netherlands, UAE, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Ghana and Benin Republic, but Dubai (UAE) is the one I enjoy most.
No stress about basic utilities etc.
UK is a great country but it never came to my mind to relocate there.
No plan to relocate anywhere. I remain Naija for life.
Trying to get to a stage where I can decide to go to anywhere in the world. No need to relocate. |

I'm not a public figure like this man, but I also get this reaction.
A couple of people that knew me well also get disappointed when they see me use public transport.
I don't believe it takes anything away from me. I have a good car and other things, but I don't have anything to prove to anyone. Why will I pay 2k for Uber from Ajah to VI where N200 will also take me there via BRT. |

LordAdamX: Wouldn't have mattered. There was a time Messi was leading 4-1 and CR7 fans like myself no send scores.
-Lord Many neutrals believed Messi was far greater then. And Messi fans were more convincing in their arguments then. In fact, aside Man U and Madrid fans, CR7 didn't have much fans then. It was only with the performance of the last 4 years that made many people agree CR7 is as great as Messi. |

Xavi and Iniesta came at the wrong time.
Award is time relative, but it must be given.
The best performance in 2018 may just be equivalent of the 6th best performance in say 2010, but since award must be given each year, the best guy in 2018 will it, while a better performance in 2010 will not win it becuse there were superior performances for that year.
Unfair, yes. But that's it. |

I think Messi and his fans are the biggest winners in this.
They may have to carry thw "sifia pain" of CR7 winning 6 WPOTYs and having more bragging point for life. |

Iniesta and Xavi will look back and wonder why they did not come this time.
At their peak, both were better than Modric. |
