This is what you get when you employ frustrated people as teachers!! All Private organizations in Nigeria want to maximize profit,they employ those who pretend to be contented with the 'peanuts' they pay them as salaries,this is a good example of that! Imagine,beating a four year old pupil to death,what would have caused this
Go and check,most of the 'wicked' teachers who take little issues very seriously are those who are in one way or the other frustrated as a result of not being able to cater for their needs with the little pay they get!

Things like this will not stop happening untill we Nigerians start appreciating the teachers in a appropriate manner.

RIP to the dead. May God grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

I don't know why a body which claims to be made up of intellectuals will have each of its branch chairmen coming out to say different things on the same issue. One of the chairmen came out to say the meeting will hold whenever ASUU gets over the shock of Prof Iyayi,another said it would hold on Friday. Now,this one is saying something else!

n^2 - n - 99750156 = 0
n(n-1) = 99750156
The above equation is simply a product of two numbers with difference of one. Hence if you take the square root of both sides then round up and down, you'll will get the two numbers if the solution are whole numbers.
E.g 8 * 7 = 56
Sqrt of 56 is approximately equal to 7.48
Round this up and down to get 7 and 8 which is the answer
The same way sqrt of 99750156 = 9987.5
Round up and down to get 9987 & 9988
In this case, n is the bigger of the two, hence n = 9988

let the age of the man be m,and his niece' be n.

therefore,from the 1st statement
m = 2n+38 .....eqn(i)
2nd statement
n^2-m =42 ....eqn(ii)

To solve eqns(i) and (ii) simultaneously,substitute 2n+38 for m in eqn (ii),
hence, n^2 -(2n+38)=42

n^2 -2n-38=42

n^2 -2n-80=0

(n+ (n-10)=0
therefore,n=-8 or n=10,but age can't be negative,hence n=10

by substituting 10 for n in eqn (i)

m=2(10) +38
m=58.

therefore the man's present age is 58,while his niece' is 10.

then,to the first part of the question,the closest perfect square to 58 is 64,that will mean an addition of extra 6yrs,which if added to the niece' age will give 16 which is also a perfect square. Hence,their ages would simultaneously be perfect squares in the next 6 yrs

to the 2nd part of the question which says: when will the
niece's age be 3 greater than half of her
uncle's age?when will the
niece's age be 3 greater than half of her
uncle's age?

let this be in y yrs time,therefore.

(58+y)/2 = 10 +y+3

58 +y= 20 +2y+6

y= 32.

therefore,that would take place in 32yrs' time.
