Congrats bro. Happy Nairaland birthday to you. ![]() |
A lady verbally and unequivocally asking a guy out is enough a turn-off for some guys, including me. It's a free ride ticket for some. No no no. If a lady is interested in a guy, she should show it in her gestures, smiles, winks, behaviour etc, the guy should pick it from there. If a lady asks a guy out, it will be tantamount to her saying, "this guy, since you're too dull to understand me, I'm putting it straight to you now...." ![]() |
Wow! Nice thread. Kudos to you guys @Lomaxx and Doclight. |

Michdear: actually the problem here is nabteb,my cousin wanna combine both neco and nabteb but was later told oau don't accept nabteb,so he becme hopeless foe now, that's why am asking if there is alternative or if oau will still consider nabted resultsTell your cousin to take GCE (WAEC OR NECO) to cover up the deficit. Forget that merger of a thing, they're resuming next year. |
ugopeter: Sure the form is still available and will be closing by 12 midnight ofFixed. |
icelord: boss, I see uMe sef saw you. |
I'd rather keep quiet than jump into conclusions. ![]() |
Nonso23:Oh! Thanks sir. I'll surely do, it seems very interesting. ![]() More power to your elbow too. ![]() |
Nonso23: I don try ooo . If I write again It might still be the same brouhaha.I think I get you now. |
@Nonso23, pls try to simplify your explanations, I don't get it. It appears to be theoretical rather than practical. Maybe it's because I've not read the theory of relativity sha. I doubt if that would convince me. Don't you think if I jump up in my room and land on the same spot, it's because my room isn't moving? |
![]() UNILORIN students would never disappoint me, I trusted them and still do. Always repping Make I run before them go find stone gimme... *picks race* |
You're right OP. But what can we do to help such people. |
No. I don't think you would land on the same spot. Le'me try to explain.... While you are still on (as in standing in) the train, you move together with it at the same speed since you're readily connected with its moving body. When you jump up, you're disconnected from its moving body, and hence, it moves forward while you're still in air. No matter how short the time you spend in air, it would still make a difference in your landing position because the train is moving at a high velocity. So, you cannot land on the same spot. You can only land on the same spot IF AND ONLY IF you're still connected with the moving train while in air, that can be achieved by holding on to part of its body while you jump. And yea, you can end up at the end of the aisle by making several jumps if there are no obstacles on the way. I hope you get it. |
modewap: i think the answer is B. Amount=mass/molar mass . 8/16=0.5mol. Kunlexic, if the option S.I unit would have been "molecules or atoms" the answer would have been D. But we all know "mole" is abbreviated as "mol"..Oh! Yea, i think you're correct. I initially didn't notice that the options are in "mol" and not "molecules." @Kunlexic, if the options are really in mol, the answer is B and not D, but if they are in molecules, the answer is D. Sorry for whatever confusion I might have caused. |
Kunlexic: why u come tag coded80 among dem#lol. No mind me jare. |
Kunlexic: according to my workings 1 mole=16g;8g=8/16=0.5mole,the past question stopped at this point and took B as the answer, but from my solutn, since the questn said amount of molecule,I did it like thisYea, you're correct, the answer is D na. They asked for the number of molecules, which is 3.01 * 10^23 as we said. I was just trynna explain further. |
chigodo: Bros thanks for that question,if you look at my post very well you'll realise that I wasn't saying unilag is better than OAU because non of them meets the world standard of tertiary institutions but my point was that OAU will always hype their school as if its better than the other Nigerian universities,I used to believe this trash till I was posted to OAU for nysc then I saw things for myself and I was very objective about it that was why I gave verifiable examples infact during my stay in EDM faculty in OAU there was a period we didn't have light there for 2 months(in a faculty of a university, such can't happen in unilag and still doesn't make unilag better of),I want you to notice something, unilag students hardly come on forums like this to praise our school because we've travelled a little and we've seen what's obtainable out there so we saw that a lot needs to be done.Good bro. I get your point. Yea, we all know there are no standard schools in Nigeria. What I'm saying is, OAU IS STILL THE BEST IN NIGERIA. Any objection? Criticising OAU on this forum without categorically stating that other Nigerian Unis are worse is what annoys me, it will make it seem OAU is not even worth a University at all. You get? |
Kunlexic: I need people hand on this questionOne mole of a substance contains 6.02 * 10^23 particles. In the case of a compound, the particles are molecules. Since 8g of CH4 is 0.5 mol of it, it contains 3.01 * 10^23 molecules, OR 15.05 * 10^23 atoms since there are 5 atoms in a molecule of CH4. |
Why do you all keep ignoring the key question here? - OAU IS WORST, IS YOUR SCHOOL BETTER? In what way? tag: chigodo, coded80, ahkenaten et al. |
cryptography: my pals paid 10,500 in lag 2 yrs back......... my FUTO guys paid 9,850............" most " FEDERAL varsities are low cost.........Yea. Then, OAU students were paying as low as 6k. I said it "used to" be the cheapest. That's it. |
cryptography: Oh phuleeeeezeee............... are there no other cheaper UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIAOAU used to be the cheapest until the recent astronomical hike in fees. The increment, as we heard, is from FG, so other schools will increase theirs soon. That's why we are saying no to the inhumane increment. The increment has made OAU fees the highest among federal Universities in the South-West currently, I don't know about other parts of the country. If this increment stands, other Universities shouldn't expect anything less in some semesters' time. |
chigodo: truth be told, this guy is making some sense,I did my nysc in faculty of EDM of OAU and I totally agree with this OP,as a unilag graduate I can say without fear or favour that OAU is very biased and sentimental,I remember while I was there they advertised for a job,mehn!...if you see what they were doing with people's CV you'll marvel,if you are not an OAU graduate they don't even look at your credentials(if you doubt me,go and find out how many of their lecturers that didn't do at least their first degree in OAU). I don't know what gives OAU the impression that their products are better than graduates from other schools,in OAU their wifi is passworded and as a result their students are forced to buy what they call 'INTECU' before they can browse but back in the days in unilag, we browse free with our laptops, just enter ur name and matric number that's the password and you start using the internet absolutely free, throughout my stay there(in OAU) I didn't see anything that worth all the hype except the noisy fruit bats all the places,no doubt by now most of them will be carriers of the dreaded Ebola virus. You guys still don't get why OAU is unique. Would you make a comparison of your school, UNILAG, and OAU without sentiments? By that, which is better? Be sincere, let us know. A UNILAG graduate accusing OAU of being corrupt? Interesting! Tell me more. I'm sure you know OAU is a saint when compared to UNILAG. |
I do not have time for unnecessary relationships. If I can't marry a girl, I'll rather be her friend than date her. Albeit, I may later discover some turn-offs while dating someone and break up in the end. But, the thing is, I can't date someone I can't marry in the first place, all things being equal. |
Centre is British while center is American. In Nigeria? Use Centre. |

@OP, you said you never chose OAU in UTME, how then did you know that the admission policy is not based on merit? Someone told you? BTW, you're a student of what school? OAU lacks properly-maintained facilities, I agree. But is your school any better? The fact remains that OAU is the best in Nigeria, and there is nothing you can do about it. If you're not in the system, you will not know how it feels to be a GreatIFE! Your post ehn, very funny.... ![]() |
Ceasar1: [color=#000030]Good. You got the puZzle right?Sure. Do you have more? |
Afolabi6046: Yeah bro, it's still very possible and i think that's d best way to repair our calendar. We pray against it sha.Not the best way to repair our calendar abeg o. The best way is we resume as soon as possible and they rush us as much as they can, so that the next session will start not later than May next year. Merging us would mean we are losing a complete session, God forbid! If it happens, everyone would feel relaxed as there would be no need to rush, that may eventually lead to another slow calendar. If it doesn't happen, everyone would be on their toes to ensure that the calendar is normalised. So, I pray God help us settle the numerous issues on ground and we resume before the end of next month. |
Ceasar1: This is a tough one. But I think creativity is a standout of intelligence. So you've got to be intelligent to be creative.I like this. |
emekakelvin: [b]You have got a brain brother. #CheerYour analysis is very good bro. But if OAU still wanna merge us, they still can. They know how to manipulate those thingz. |

He support oau,abi wetin snail wan come do for soup wen den dey call meat.
