BreconHills: You would have hated the women in biblical times, the likes of Rachel, Ruth, and Esther would have been abominable to you. The stones in their news, the heavy bangles and the golden earringsand the jingling ankle bracelets. Oh and the woman that annointed Jesus..you would have stoned her.
Look I get it there are things connoted with sin but which are not in themselves sin. You believe that a " good" woman shouldn't leave rooms for grey areas. But by trying to create a guard rail around these grey areas you take over the work of the spirit and create rabbinical rules that Jesus said nothing about. You are creating extra layers of moral protection that do not address the real problem of idolatrous and perverse hearts. Some of the people wearing those regulation perfect clothes have filthy and evil hearts which are only revealed after marriage.
Do not rail against the outer man brother, we have much bigger fish to fry. Bros I want to say something to you. And whether you choose accept or not that is your own perogative: Now get this straight : Christianity is not a religion ; it is a lifestyle. And in this Christian lifestyle, you are not free to do as you please because there rule (laws and doctrines). These rules were given by God to guide and set us apart from others in society. In essence it is an identity. We(Christians) use these rules to define how we conduct ourselves, dress, relate and interact with others outside our faith. Note here that these rules do not give liberty ;rather they keep us in check. They tell us when to not to go beyond the boundaries God has placed for us. Now for a bible-believing lady to put waist beads on , brings reproach on the traces of God-given rules and laws in the life of that lady : it makes her look like she is one of those in the crowd of the ungodly. |

November1857: Typical afonja !
Read or listen to lucky dube song "House of exile" and learn..
Freedom fighter standing on a mountain in a foreign country Trying to send a message to his people back in the ghetto
He had a home one time, love of a girl But he left that behind Oh, yes, I can hear him clearly as he whispers in the air
His voice came out loud and clear
All he asked for was a prayer and as he turns to walk away He said I'm still here in the house of exile
For the love of the nation Sun went down on the mountain, birds flew back to their hiding places.
Leaving him standing there like a telephone pole In the still of the night you and I dream Dreaming of Romeo and Juliet All he dreams about is the freedom of the nation When every man will be equal in the eyes of the law As he closes his eyes for the last time He said again I'm still here in the house of exile For the love of the nation I'm still here in the house of exile For the love of the nation I'm still here in the house of exile For the love of the nation
https://www.metrolyrics.com/house-of-exile-lyrics-lucky-dube.html Lucky Dube song does not in anyway reflect Nnamdi Kanu. Great leaders stand and fight their battles; they do not flee to foreign soils and shout on social media. Let Nnamdi Kanu take lessons from people like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Benjamin Franklin. Let him follow their steps and stand and fight here in Nigeria. Not overseas where life and reality are not facing him |

That's why u will continue struggling praying in church but nothing insight because u abandoned ur root Are you insinuating we make peace with demons..? Please why did Christ die for if we still have to settle amicably with foul spirits. Where then is the justification for us being Christians and believing in the power of His death and resurrection...? I resigned my teaching job becuase of three reasons :
1. The pay was lousy(15k) and with the pandemic looming, there was no reason to continue.
2. The stress and inconvenience of the job made me have a rethink about what I wanted to do with my life. It made feel and desire more out of life; I felt there had to be more to what I was getting out of life.
3. I read alot about about successful people and how they lived on their own terms doing what they do best. And that encouraged me to follow suit. |

Image123: Like i said, i repeat it is much ado about nothing by empty Bible gymnasts. Whether Enoch died or not, whether he went to Heaven or not, you are still the same hypocrite, liar, jealous, proud, sad and angry Jwickedness looking for the next opportunity to share awake and remind us how your denomination is the only follower of God. It has no influence on your life what the truth is, only what the sad hall elders say.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
He was translated that he should not see death. You're free to argue the incompetence of Who translated him not to see death. How can JW be wrong? The Bible is. It's your sad life to live not mine. Look for how your life can be truly Christian. Nice reply |

The oil boom blinded our government on the need to develop our Iron and Steel industry: It has killed it through corruption, lack of maintenance and inconsistent foreign policies through neo-colonialism.
The only hope of developing and revitalizing the iron and steel industry can be found in
1. Diversifying the economy and placing less priority on crude.
2 Honestly encouraging investors (both foreigner and local) to invest in the Iron and Steel industry by making the industry look attractive through loans and government grants.
3. Invitation of foreign expatriates to educate, enlighten and teach our people here, on the newest ways of managing and running the industry as a whole. |

Reelmii: I will not justify homosexuality, neither would I condemn them, I would rather pray Gid opens their eyes to see that what they are doing is wrong..
wen Jesus was on earth, he never judged the sinners, he showed them love, he preached to them, he never condemned them, that was why he prayed for God to forgive them, he prayed for the two thieves that were crucified alongside with him, if Jesus( with all the power he has) did not judge or condemn anybody, then who are we to do so
I understand that u are trying to make people see that waist beads have been corrupted by some people, why not address the voodoo part instead of condemning the ornament itself u can not change people's mind by judging them u do that with love, even in the bible, the women wore golds ornament but it became a problem when they turned their ornaments to semi gods, and that is where IDOLATRY whispers is part of the 10 commandments comes in, so leave the ornament alone and discuss the voodoo(IDOLATRY) part
u cant say because people are using laptops for Yahoo so owning a laptop is a sin
homosexuality is an evil spirit and a sin that manifests in humans, instead of condemning the them, pray that God delivers them of the spirit, even the bible preaches against it, but the bible does not preach against wearing ornaments, it only says we should not turn them to our gods The first paragraph of the statement has condemned whatever message you wanted to pass to me. And it has shown you are one of those fools, who would gladly decline biblical morals and let it be , all in the name of being "politically correct" by not hurting the feelings of others. But that is hypocrisy ; and means you do not stand for anything since you have deemed it necessary to be at peace with evil. And for your information, Jesus condemned people. And I am here condemning not judging. So get your facts straight and stop being a hypocritical nuisance |

Christianity Etc › Re: Money Is A Bad Master. Repent. by Jashub: 9:54am On Feb 28, 2021 |
oluade11: This is a trying time in Nigeria. Everybody is worried and scared. There is killing, yahooyahoo, herdsmen farmer crisis, kidnapping, terrorism and all sorts day in day out.
The state government, the federal government and Leaders at different levels all seems to be overwhelmed.
The answer is God. We all need to turn to God with all our heart and might. It is not about church, church projects and activities.
The answer is for us all to turn to God.
We need to turn to God starting from the church. The church is full of projects and activities. Ten days....., 3 days ..... and construction of one million capacity auditorium, buying of jets......
These are not bad but they are not the basics. I believe God is using all the happenings around us to redirect the attention of the church to Himself.
We are in the era that Pastors sleep with church members and still mount pulpit. People in the church are fetish, into yahooyahoo, steal and bring the returns to God.
The church needs to repent. Actually, the nation is supposed to repent but it starts from the church.
The people who are called by God's name need to repent and turn from evil and pray with the whole heart in all sincerity, then God will arise and forgive our sins an also heal our land.
Nigeria needs healing.
This is a country where kids in junior secondary schools are using venza, building houses and are being celebrated. Yes, junior secondary schools students are ready to do anything including going fetish, kill all for material things. The church has failed, the society has failed, the leadership has failed, the elders has failed. There is no value in the land again. All worship money. Money will make you steal, kill and do unbelievable things. It will take away your joy and peace if it is from a wrong source. There is dignity in labour and hard work. There is more to life than money. Money is reward for hardwork and for adding value to society.
Money in wrong hand can be a time bomb. We all need to return to God.
Our land needs healing.
It starts from the church. If My people who are called by My name.
Is it a small thing to be called by God's name. If you have one or two things you are struggling with such as lust, stop going to the altar. Go and sort yourself out first. Forget about what people will say and be more concerned about what God will say.
Our land needs healing but we need to repent. Everyone of us need to repent starting from the church.
I believe God has great plan for Nigeria but we have to key in to it.
Who is your master and to whom are you yielding yourself. Remember, money is a good servant but a bad master.
Don't be a slave to money. It is the blessings of the Lord that add no sorrow. Any other sources is full of sorrow, regrets and are devoid of peace.
If you are there and you are yet to give your life to Jesus, now is the time. Delay is dangerous. Go on your knees, tell God you are sorry and you repent. He is merciful.
Lastly, the church need to cry out for all in the den of terrorists and kidnappers for God to set them free. The students, the Pastor and many others. A lot of what the country is experiencing can be traced to injustice, absence of love, corruption and co. It leads to bitterness, vengeance and hatred.
We all need to start showing love to all and be our brothers keeper starting from the church. How can one person have billions in dollars and another can't feed.
Love is the key and God is love. Meet needs around you.
May God help us even as we humble ourselves, pray and repent from the heart so God can heal our land.
God is faithful. Lovely writeup sir. God bless you. |
