The IELTS made N279 million from Nigerians in 2017. N400 million so far in 2018.

I’m doing a short feature on IELTS for my blog and social handles.

Will you be willing to talk on camera or on phone, to share your IELTS experience and key tips for serial failures?

While we work to abolish the IELTS for its shocking hypocrisy, we can also provide support for the thousands of Nigerians who sit for the exam yearly.

Can we talk anytime soon?

Kindly drop (or PM me) your number and I will personally call you up.

Thanks.
When you succeed in abolishing IELTS, Canada will change to TEF as the required language test.

Then you will abolish Canada.

yes, received ita in september. was about to submit today when i realised ielts expired 3rd of November. Declined ITA now. Back in the pool. He will do ielts on 1st December. Meanwhile our police certificates will expire 7th december so we will need to redo them too and i will loose 5 points in 2 weeks because of a change in my age

God knows best.

laghopeful20181:
Good morning people,

I am post ITA (5 days left to submit before my deadline). I was uploading supporting documents and cross checking them when I realised my husband's IELTS expired on the 3rd of November (I am the principal applicant). Without his IELTS our score drops to 438 and we would not qualify for the draw from which we were selected (cut off was 441). I have modified family information and changed him to unaccompanying spouse...score becomes 451 hence the children and I can go ahead to submit without him. Note also I loose 5 points in 2 weeks due to age change.
Our choices as I understand them are either
1. Submit without him, sponsor him as a spouse when we get ppr and land
2. Decline invitation, get him to write IELTS, hope he scores well enough and get back in the pool. However with this option, there is the added complication of 5 points lost due to age change...so what's the guarantee we score high enough to meet cut off! I used the CRS tool, using 6666 for IELTS score for him and using my new age... our score would be 442

My questions are:
A. Is there any other option I have not already considered?
B. How long does spousal sponsorship take?(I have researched but you know timeline given by CIC and reality of life sometimes differ and I would prefer to base my decisons on reality)
C. My research indicates that I will not be able to add him after AOR (since it is not a new marriage...visa officer might wonder why the sudden change of mind?). Additionally, I am not sure if even if it is possible to add him after AOR, score will not be recalculated using the fact that he had no valid IELTS at time of ITA received. Is this research accurate or is there a possibility of adding him legally after AOR?

I'm so upset at myself for not paying attention to the IELTS expiry date...this is a lesson to all. As I understand it, unfortunately only age is frozen upon receipt of ITA..IELTS result is not frozen.
Wow! I can feel your anxiety right now. Very sorry

Let my seniors wake up.

There will always be a way around it. Fret not

Finally ielts has freed my spouse after 3 attempts LRWS Nov 1 BC 8 8 7.5 8.5. His two previous attempts were 10th February BC 6.5 6.5 7 8 and 25 march BC 7 6.5 7 7.5.
I have been on this process since march trying to max out my ielts to 441 because I have a bsc and he has a masters degree so it has been a rollercoaster. I wrote 4 times trying to max out. 6 January 2018 LRWS BC 8.5 7.5 7 8.0
May MOD LRWS 8 7.5 6 7didn't bother getting my TRF
July BC LRWS 8.5 7.5 7 7
01 Nov LRWS 8.5 9 6.5 7.
We have spent close to 600k for everything including hotel bills and transportation for the exams. It has been a frustrating couple of months. I remember back in march telling my hubby that by December we would have been in Canada, not knowing what ielts had in store for my hubby. This whole journey has really taught me patience and perseverance,I won't lie.
I just updated his profile and he is meant to be on 449 but it's showing 464 saying 15 extra CRS additional points for French / bilingualism, and I have checked through over and over didn't fill anything pertaining to knowledge of French language. Pls is this a glitch from the system and is anyone experiencing the same thing.
First testimony of the new thread cheesy

Congratulations

Dreamliner dude.. Dreamliner. Read up and stop embarrassing yourself.
You are the one embarrassing your self bro. Somebody flew in a plane and gave his experience of Maroc's in-flight entertainment as POOR just some comments up.

Another flew in your dreamliner which got spoilt on the way, had them stranded inside the plane while mechanics worked on your 'dreamliner'.

Yet you have refused to reason logically as you just entered your first dreamliner in life.

I pity you. Still boils down to English comprehension skills.

AZeD1:
Lol RAM uses the Dreamliner from Casablanca to Montreal.

You can go and pass that info to all your friends who are intrigued by your "them say"

PS: you should try flying to different parts of the world. You might learn a thing or two about how airlines work.
Thank God for Canada FSW visa. I pray the good job started in your life by showing you civilization becomes permanent.

But first, you must enroll for that English comprehension class.

I guess you don't even know the meaning of in-flight entertainment.

You see English comprehension skills, my friend,

Lacking in you!
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Jasmine17(m): 12:31am On Nov 14, 2018
AZeD1:
Mr English, the guy you quoted said he had an ok experience. He's only problem was with the inflight entertainment.

With your level of English comprehension, I expect you to know the difference between the two. May be you should enroll for that class yourself.

Anyway your 5 mins of fame is over, its time to go and meet people who have actual experience and not really on "them say"
In-flight entertainment is not a problem to your class of humans because you love Cheap Things. Considering the flight time between Nigeria and Canada, I wonder how a right thinking fellow will knowingly pay for Maroc with the knowledge that there will be no/poor entertainment onboard. Don't be stingy to yourself man!

I still insist that you lack English comprehension skills and given your arguments, you also lack logical reasoning skills. Pardon my bluntness, but i must tell you the truth. You feel you have known it all and achieved a lot by scoring high in IELTS GT and migrating to Canada, but there is a lot of vacuum you need to work on.

Start by enrolling for that English comprehension class. It will help your cheap life.

AZeD1:
Two good experiences , one bad experience and one "them say".
If my math is correct, 2 > 1 so for now RAM still counts as a good experience.

I never knew "them say" trumps my own experience. Hmmm we learn everyday.

I've been surviving with my English just fine so you don't need to worry, if the English ever becomes a problem, I'll switch to French.
jelmusboy:
I once used Royal Air Maroc from UK to Nigeria, it was okay for me. The only error is that the in-flight entertainment is POOR
Here is another one with POOR in caps. So your 'math skill' should add it too.

Its true you have been surviving with your flawed English skills but you shouldn't live your life on chance like someone playing Russian roulette. Just one misstep without this vital comprehension skill can ruin your life and threaten your existence. How will you comprehend job interview questions?

Moreover, how can you learn and comprehend French when English that is your first learned language is still a problem to you?

Man up and enrol for that English comprehension class.

My experience with them wasn't a good one. Flight from UK was good and yes we stopped at casablanca and cotedivoire before getting to Nigeria. Flight back to UK, stopped at casablanca and had a faulty plane that they were trying to fix while we were inside, they eventually had to put us in another plane that didn't start immediately too, but thank God I'm alive to tell the story....

That's a nairalander's testimony corroborating my advice. I only pity whoever falls for your cheap Maroc.
TravelRe: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by Jasmine17(m): 11:25pm On Nov 13, 2018
AZeD1:
Are you still pained we were able to fly "cheap"?

Don't worry about my English, its fine just the way it is and I rather keep my comprehension skills the way it is than giving advice based on "them say".
Its your life and your business how you go about it. I am only worried that you are abusing the privilege of being able to afford Air Maroc.

As for your English comprehension skill, you definitely need it for your survival in Canada as you cannot be showing people your IELTS GT result on the streets of Canada. Thats not a language skill.

Dont mind those clowns. They flew cheap Maroc the one time they had the opportunity to leave Nigeria and formed an informed opinion. That's what half education causes.

I have a colleague who uses them regularly despite his complaints. He just loves the cheap fair and doesn't mind the inconvenience but courtesy of him, I know their level of service.

There is a reason why other airlines cost more. Its called premium.

I flew Royal Air Maroc and it only stopped at Casablanca. I highly doubt there's a direct flight from Canada to Nigeria so most flights would stop at least once.

You should be careful with the news you hear.
The bolded was not necessary and you could have actually made your point without it. I think you should be careful with your English comprehension skills.

Oga, all my trips from UK to Nigeria, I often use them. No issues with them in the exception that they don't frequently have TVs in most of their flights. So stop peddling hear say, hear say. You have not even flown with them before and you have crucified them.
Oga Air Maroc, I added heard for a reason and never used a definite clause so that those who have actually used them will come and dispute or affirm it.

I guess they are meant only for people like you and i pray God will continue to bless me so that i will not have need to use them. Your space in their plane will always be guaranteed ok?

Hello house,Has anyone travelled with Royal air Maroc. The prices from Lagos are so low to Montreal and comparatively short flight time. Please share your view on their services make I know whether I go rush them as their prices are the best I have seen so far.
From what I have heard, Royal Air Maroc is the flight definition of town service, kabu-kabu or danfo transport as they virtually stop at most airports to pick and drop passengers.

If you don't mind the additional stress of multiple stops, you are good.
