uzo009: Good day everyone. I have a challenge please. I tried using DHL to send my WAEC scratchcard to WES Canada, and they charged me N23,500 which I think is overpriced. Does anyone know of any cheaper and reliable alternatives? Also does WES mean we should literally write our REFERENCE NUMBER on the scratchcard or the envelope? Thank you Its 9k for UPS, 10k for fedex. Run from dhl fast fast. |

Distinct777: Good morning guys. The thread is full of good and encouraging news this morning. Congrats to all PPR and Ielts victors. God's bless all our hustles.
Please is there anyone who has swapped places for medicals before? How did you go about it?
I called Qlife now and was told the earliest slot is February next year. However an angel here has blessed me with her slot for November. So do I just show up there on that day and demand for her appointment? She said nothing was given to confirm booking appointments so maybe they just write down people's names.
How does it work please? The person should send a mail on behalf of both of you to this address with the dates. customercare@qlifefamilyclinic.com |

mikkyphp: I got this from a recruiter trying to get me on a contract engagement.
How to Incorporate
The fastest and most cost effective way to incorporate is to apply directly on the business website of Industry Canada. The fee can be charged to a credit card and the applicant will usually receive their company documents and corporation number within a couple of hours up to 24 hours. Go to www.corporationscanada.ic.gc.ca Select English Next page > In the middle column first option is incorporate a business Next page > Choose "Online" option
Please note: In the middle column you will see a link for "guide to federal incorporation"; you may use this for reference * Next page > Once you have chosen the online option you will now be on a different website (http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/cgi-bin/sc_mrksv/corpdir/corpFiling/register.cgi?lang=e)
As the next few steps you need to "Register a new user" and then "Go to Online Filing" and just follow the PROMPTS
Things you need to keep in mind while filling out the application form: Indicate the Minimum amount of directors at 1, and maximum 10 Be sure to release Type A and B share -> Do NOT write any restrictions and simply accept the default settings Your business address should be your home address
GST Number
You will also need a GST number, which is handled through the site, but that is not required immediately. (You'll want it in your first few weeks on the contract... its free to obtain one and not necessary until you hit 30K in revenues)
Payroll Setup
In order for us to set up the payroll you will need a business bank account from a Canadian bank. However, this you may take your time to complete; I suggest you provide me with it before you start, so you can get paid.
Once you incorporate, please take your incorporation information to your bank, and open a business account in the name of your incorporation. YOU WILL NOT BE PAID into your personal bank account, and WILL REQUIRE a business account to be opened. Once done, please ask your bank for an official 'direct deposit'; form that shows the bank address, and the bank account number associated with your account.
Incorporated Consultants, advantages: Higher net income; no regular tax deductions Possible tax advantages Greater access to capital Limited liability Business credibility Separate legal entity Help legitimize business expenses Increase success in response to current trends that see more clients selecting Incorporated consultants over non-incorporated consultants |

Debsify: lol one staff in exams and records hid my green file since August , and my first contact in FUTO didn't even know what's happening. So it was this new contact that took me to exams and records office, I met the staff, and he quickly brought out my file from where he hid it. He demanded I find him something after giving excuses that my application has to go through a lot of vetting blah blah. I didn't pay him a dime..my contact took it from there after I reprinted my proof of payment from FUTO's portal. Wow. See evil!!! E sabi you before? |

Debsify: You're probably calling him when he was at the interview bro, besides he has started my verification already without even paying him a dime for it, he delivered on my transcript that has being hanging and it got to WES in 3 weeks. I'm not supporting him for dodging your calls o, but to me he has tried, and I believe he will deliver the job..besides he probably said he will conclude your work today, because his girlfriend has being helping him run around in his absence (I met her in school on Monday working on my spouse's work) and he also has someone in the registrar's office I met too..bro just calm down and call him again tomorrow. You might be right sha. Just that i get really upset when people dodge my calls. And the phone going off once i call and coming on again after a while didnt help matters. Still, i wont put my mind there again, make hbp no go worry me for young age |

Debsify: It depends on when you've being calling him. He travelled to Lagos for a job interview, and about not being straightforward; i'm not sure he is that type of person, we just need to be patient about the verification, because I was at futo myself on Monday, my brother that school can frustrate somebody. Anyways he should be back tomorrow according to him, so you can follow up. Still boils down to the same issue of straight forwardness. He told me he wont be around yesterday but that he will be around today and will ensure that my stuff is concluded today. If he had told me he wont be around for two weeks sef, i would have endured if i wanted and wont bother him. But even picking my call and letting me know what's up is alien to him. Worst is putting off the phone while its ringing and putting it on again after some minutes. Anyway, just becareful bro. I don commot my mind from him and would count it as a loss. Moving on. |

He has stopped picking my calls and turns of his phone when i call him twice, after all the promises he made. Funny thing is i have made full payment to him. |

I dunno if this is a new habit or what. Thats where the advantage comes. Go through WES site well. Your answer dey their page. |

chuckdee13: Chill, for PR waka the WES evaluation is different from the one used for APEGA. ECA for PR which is document by document then for APEGA its course by course evaluation. so its not one for all. you'r sadly gonna do it twice either way. Very correct bro BUT she will not apply for transcripts from school or WAEC again. All she will do is pay WES for upgrade to course by course evaluation 100CAD. She can also pay for WES ICAP 100CAD and WES will store her transcript in their database for life. Future applications to universities and all will cost 30CAD and she will only have to apply online. Thats full bye bye to Nigerian University STRESS. Imagine the stress and inconvenience we pass through to obtain and verify our documents when we are still fully in Nigeria. Now imagine you have left the shores of this country and want to evaluate from Canada. I pity your case |

MSc certificate by myself. MSc transcript from Unilag. NECO result from NECO office Ilupeju (as per instructions in previous posts).
Thanks again. Ok. If you are sure your NECO result was not part of what you faxto WES, then you need to visit NECO office again. |

illusory: No. I am verifying MSc and at the time, I started, the required documents just said degree certificate, academic transcript and Final secondary school result from the examining body. So I did exactly that. In fact I am still waiting for the further verification from Unilag... You answered yes and no at the same time. OGA, what documents did you send or fax to WES initially. |

illusory: Hello everyone. And well done to all those assisting with advice and procedure. I have been following this thread and the required steps. I followed all the steps listed in previous post regarding NECO verification from WES. Paid 1k via remita. Submitted everything at NECO office Ilupeju, including the 17k for courier and all that and had it sent from NECO directly. But have received this message from WES regarding NECO verification:
"Reason: WES received your document, but it was not sent directly from your academic institution. WES requires your institution to send academic documents directly to WES.
Instructions: Please ask your academic institution to send your document to WES in a sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate official. If you have already contacted your institution, no action is necessary at this time."
I called them and the agent agreed that something wasn't right and that I should complete a contact us form. I have now received a reply email saying:
"Please carefully review the required documents for Nigeria. WES requires Final Secondary Examinations results be submitted directly to WES by the appropriate examining body."
Now I'm wondering what to do from here. Should I ask my secondary school to send the result or ask NECO to resend it and pay another 17k for courier?
Thanks. Did you send you NECO certificate to WES alongside your other certificates initially? |

I just checked the documents required for evaluation, for other neighbouring African countries and those not close by.
WAEC is a Nigerian only requirement. So we are the only ones being punished by WES. |
