Jagaban

Hate him all you want, but never question our love for him

Is it wrong if I love a qualified first class Chicago State University business administration and accounting graduate?!

Is it a crime to show admiration for a man whose career path took him to Price watercoooper General Electric Aramco ExxonMobil?!

Is it evil to respect a man who fought General Babangida, General Abacha and the Oligarchs with his money, time and might under NADECO to ensure we have the current Democracy we enjoy

Why should I hate a man who Governed Lagos when IGR was 800 million, and left Lagos with a 30 billion monthly IGR

The man who fought with Odua People's Congress OPC, when they started killing and maiming non yoruba indegenes in Lagos State, Which made OPC leaders like Gani Adama call him a bastard and sell out ... Only for the librated non indegenes to join OPC in calling him a sell out for protecting them

The first Governor to make a woman his Deputy Governor, because he believes women are not only meant for Kitchen, sitting room and Za Ozza room

Should I hate the only Governor who created mass transit rapid bus system so that poor people can access cheap fast transport in a congested Lagos

He fought PDP federal government to create more Local Government arguing that why should Kano and Katsina have more Local Government than Lagos... He succeeded and now PDP states also creates Local Government Development Authority

The first man to build a state run Power Generation plant for Lagos, and PDP FG forced Lagos to forfeit its power supply to the National grid, servicing all states

Lagos 112 emergency ,Rapid Response Squad, LAGBOAT and ferry services, Lekki housing scheme, Eko Atlantic city , Lekki deep sea port , Ikoyi Lekki bridge are all his master plan for Lagos

A man who picked up Fashola a Surulere struggling lawyer, Osinbajo a UNILAG lecturer, Fayemi a Ghana based lecturer, Ruaf Aregbe a fridge repairer in Alimosho, Ben akabueze , Joe Igbokwe an editor, Gbajabiamila a struggling Chicago based lawyer and made them who they are today

He invested his own money in Nigerian economy so that youths can be gainfully employed... TVC and The Nation newspaper has one of the best group of Broadcasters and Journalist under their payroll, Alpha Beta Tax and Adult Consulting hires some of the best Accountants, auditors, tax experts in Nigeria, INTELS hires some of the best engineers and logistics experts all thanks to Tinubu

I have searched my soul and conscience and I have absolutely no reason to hate on this Enigma

Happy birthday Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Jagaban of Borgu, may you live long in good health , thanks for the excellent services you have offered

If you've really searched your soul and found no reason, then your soul is filthy grin

Politics / Re: Humiiated In Osun, Rejected In Lagos, Will Aregbesola Return To Tinubu's Camp? by JastSiryin(m): 5:40pm On Mar 11, 2022
Dsalvo:

Not true and you know this. Tinubu is genuinely well regarded for being modern, visionary, innovative, effective and delivering tangible transformation in a cesspit of retrogressive corruption.

The West does not think hypocritically or without pragmatism as Africans do. They know corruption is the system in Africa and they don't pretend any leader can operate in Africa and Nigeria, for now, without a degree of involvement in corruption.

They know corruption is attitudinal, plus a part of everyday life for most Africans, and not a leadership issue alone as folks like you simplistically insist. With that in mind, they seek the 'next best options' in that environment.

The next best option is of course leaders who operate in the corruption and still manage to be productive, visionary, reformational and innovative where nearly all else are emptily corrupt.

Believe me, Westerners are raised to be unrealistic. They won't seek saints where non exist or cannot exist. They pragmatically work with the best available in those environments.

This is why Tinubu, whether you believe it or not, is held in the highest esteem by other leaders outside Nigeria and indeed Africa.
Let me perhaps agree that we as a nation are "fantastically corrupt" as some would say. No country is exempt from it, not even the Westerners in which your statement tries to portray as above this moral disease. But their society still functions, and this is much because they recognise the rule of law, something which your "visionary" has thoughtlessly trampled on both directly and indirectly.

Do you think any meaningful and lasting improvement could come from this comatose system we run? I'm sorry to say,but even a man as powerful as Tinubu would be nothing but the usual, he would go by the way of many other ineffective leaders we've had. Worse of, is a very strong tendency that he would be even more tyrannical.

Visionary is a strong word for someone who would align and help instill a person who is ideologically backward just so that he can secure his own seat at the throne. Not minding the ripple effect it would have on our country. No one should tell you that we're worse of than we've ever been as a nation.

That is greed at it's core. And chronic megalomania to even think that he's the messiah that would set everything to right.

A true Visionary recognises that the future he/she is trying to propagate may not have themselves at the centre when it materialises. And are okay knowing that they may cease to have direct control of its outcome and lose relevance. But she or he still goes putting self aside for the collective good.I fail to see how Tinubu is any of this. He has clearly stated that the presidency is an ambition, and that's all there is to it honestly.

We're deeply divided as a nation, especially along ethno-religious lines. And it still is this sentiment that informs our decisions, especially when it comes to the matter of the Presidency. It's why we can easily overlook very worrisome flaws in our leaders, and they in turn manipulate us at will.

Hate the Igbos or not, but I see nothing wrong in wanting out of a system that clearly doesn't work. Where there's no equity.

Wasn't it your Tinubu who was quoted to have said he didn't believe Nigeria was a country? Of course he would backtrack seeing that the system currently favors his plans. I would be wary of such an individual even if he where to be my tribesman.

I really hope I'm wrong. Just look at how bad things are now. Anything worse would be a thing of nightmares.

Bro, if you can figure out why those with the best democracies and most developed nation in the world hold Tinubu in high regard and view him the defacto President of Nigeria, despite the 'negatives' you level against him, then you will realize all you wrote above amounts to being more catholic than the Pope.
Which people? You mean those who benefit from our continued impoverishment?... What you stated could be said about our current President. It is nothing but political correctness, and you know this.

Tinubu is a super politician.

He gives you wings, fvck with him, he clips those wings deceiving you, call you back, give you another wing.

Tinubu will welcome Aregbe with full arms.

If OBJ as a President couldn't weaken Tinubu as a gov, all these overgrown puppies making noise on social media are just wasting their time.

One of the 3 major obstacles on his ambition is zoning of the party's ticket to SW, he has crossedthat one already. The next is flying the party's flag, that is even easier, na moi moi.

Tinubu doesn't make noise, he simply acts.

On the final note, Igbos are brainless animals.
His political deftness is admirable for what it is.But what I find difficult to wrap my head around is why people would still root for him considering the implications it would have in the long run if he were to win.

I mean, how different is he from the others before him? The lack of accountability, integrity, and the willingness to permit anything dastardly for his political ambition.

It's a shame all we have as politicians are men who seek power, but don't know how to use it to unite and empower the people.

Alas, a big motivator for their continued dominance is because of how divided we are, the hatred and contempt we've got for each other.

Your last sentence says it all. And because of this people are willing to turn a blind eye to the questionable conducts of these washed-up politicians.

These hard times have bitten into the pockets of every tribe. Everyone is a loser when men like him are at the helm. Pls reconsider your convictions

A similar mistake would plunge our country further into a more hopeless mess. And then, it might be too late to salvage.
Travel / Re: Experience My First Racism In U. K From Someone Who I Thought Was My Friend. by JastSiryin(m): 11:14pm On Feb 20, 2022
Right001:
When I moved to the U. K for my master. I stay in an flat which consist of many white English boys. So an England boy called Harry decided to show me the equipment in the apartment. So when we got to the kitchen he show me a dish washer which I did not care to look at and he responded that have I see a dish washer before? I was shock and told him of course have seen a dish washer and he reply that I did not want to sound rude but africa are poor and always hungry and I reply him do I look like someone that is poor and hungry and his respond was you are from the rich family in Africa and I told him clearly my parents are not rich that am just an average Nigerian boy and he his reply was it is impossible that you are either rich or poor in Africa and my response was that he should stop believing the propaganda been pass by CNN and BBC about Africa.

After that we bonded and we usually teese ourself and crack jokes. So during December period I was infected with covid 19 which all. Of them in the house have travel to their family home to spend Christmas and new year holiday. So during that mid January on Friday I was in the parlour with my white flatmates and we where just joking and catching fun then we started to talk about covid and I told them during the time they travel I contacted covid and Harry reply that he is going to kill me so I laugh and I thought it was one of the joke but he said he mean it and I started telling him that so do u expect me to call u in your family home and tell u I contacted covid and the others white where explaining to him and this guy started using abusing words against me telling me to return back to Africa and saying some nasty words about Africa and I told him if u have brief with me then challange me and stop picking on my continent and colour and he told me that he is going to insult my colour and continent that if I want to fight him then we should go to the garden to fight as man to man. I was just saying in my mind this man is looking for someone to kill him. I just ignore him and when I stop replying him he just calm down and left. What pain me most was when he left then all the white guys told me his crazy that I should not answer him and I was like when he was insulting me racially all of u where just watching him as if nothing happen. After some time he came back to the parlour and apologise to everyone except me for been a nusiance and after that he wanted to discuss with me and I shouted at him saying back off. After sometime he wanted talking to me and I just ignore him as if nobody is talking and after talking I just close my laptop and gave him a bad gesture and left the palour then he reply that I am looking at him as a vallian that he is not a bad guy.

The next day his girlfriend came visiting him and was smiling at me and i just reply her with a bone face and left. Then after sometime he came apologising to me that what he did to me was wrong that he did it under the influence of acholol which I know but I said to myself for him to say this to me when he was drunk meaning he has been harbouring such thoughts in his mind and the alcohol just gave him the courage to express his racist characters to me. I told him I forgive him but right now I don't trust any English people or white people because for such a guy to laugh and joke with u and still be a racist his something terrible. Abeg make una give bristish chance.
No sensible would condone what just happened to you. But my advice is resist the irrational urge to generalize. He's just one white guy amongst millions. Don't block yourself to what could be fruitful relationships and learning experiences with another race. It's the world we live in,make peace with that and enjoy the rest of life.

The women of today are nothing to write home about.
Taking such extreme measures just so that one could boost his/her ego and sense of self-righteousness is one of the most useless things humans do that I still can't wrap my head around.

And to think you're preaching the awful practise of female genital mutilation shows how backward your mind is.

I am the first born of a family of six. A man once accused me of sleeping with his wife (the woman in question senior my mama) and i was like "me ? Me ? Me ? " and I went inside crying.

The only friend i have is my phone. The thing is affecting me seriously. I can't eat in public. I can't insult. I can't even look at your face to talk anything.... I talk alot inside... Am an online keyboard wariorr..

One boy was telling me yesterday to join 'cult' to improve. Though am thinking of it. People take me for a fool. Nairaland is my best website.

Please doctors in the house, is there any drug or medication that i can take to make me overcome shyness ?...
Bro, i feel your pain, i really do. I too have suffered from severe anxiety and experience it sometimes. It's a constant battle but one you can get a hold of.

Bro, I'll say this. The starting point to recovery is to gain knowledge about your problem. Study. Know the triggers.

Learn to observe them. I mean from an objective point of view as you would if you were watching something happening. You'll begin to notice how much our behaviors are automatic responses that could be "reprogrammed"

Bro look into meditation. You can hit me up if you'd like to learn from my personal experience. Trust me, it would change your life. Stay Blessed brother

You are an introvert , no big deal.

In other to help yourself you must set a goal daily to speak with a lady or two daily, try simple lines like " excuse me, do you stay around here, I like your looks, can I have your number, can we be friends" highest she'll say No, or walk off.. but slowly you'll start getting over the sense of embarassment and start replacing it with jokes like " She no even fine sef" , "girl wey I won manage"

.
For God sake it's not beacuse he's an introvert. There are extroverts with social anxiety also. Let's stop perpetuating this falsehood. That's not what introversion is. Dude sounds like he suffers from severe social anxiety, and for some reason or the other is very "sensitive", probably even depressed too. He needs therapy, that's what he needs. It's not gonna be easy if he can't afford it, but it's possible for him to work on himself.

I don't quite know where to categorize buffoons like you. It seems your type gets a hard-on from being subjugated by powerful corrupt people.

Someone who prefers to speak from both sides while his people are being slaughtered rather than oppose those terrorists. And it's all because of his political ambitionl.

Tell me? What good could come out from such a man? I don't know how you people just reason. If you happen to be yoruba then that answers it.

But a note of warning. It would only get worse if such a mindset keeps dictating who leads the nation. Power alone doesn't make a good leader. Take a fu*king hard look at what we're experience now. Pleease!

DavidAO:

Like I said you have to make the clarification that the Jesus you’re serving isn’t the same Jesus in the Bible before I accept your disposition. You also have to clarify that the apostles have a different gospel from the one you preach or that’s being preached to you.

Until you do that, I’ll take it that you’re being disobedient to the word and also making yourself judge over situations of life. Where did you see any of the apostles protesting bad government or their killings in the Bible?

By the way nothing is happening to Christianity, it’s just your reality that’s making it look like it’s affecting it. Even so, what good has Christianity done to the everyday man that makes its abolishing bad for us? Virtually nothing, and it has impoverished more people by aggregating their wealth to a few.

Christian pastors and politicians are in bed together so I do not see anyway that Christianity will be abolished. The hormonal rush you have thinking that Christianity will someday be abolished is a false alarm created by the messages you’ve been receiving.

Be like Christ brother. Obey till death and let God fight for you. Bible never said complain what someone does evil to you. Instead it says turn the other cheek when you’re slapped, OT that you should bless them that curse you. Bible said talk when someone commits sin. Two different things, you’ve only manipulated it again.

Lastly, I do not think I have to agree with you, I can only agree with the Holy Spirit which of course is not you is it?
People like you like to hide behind scriptures to cover your cowardice... Dude has given you the best answer he could give, yet you prefer to be told what to do directly from a book like a mindless runt. Do you realize that not every direct action of man is listed in the Bible. Ask the holy spirit if you have him, because adhering to scriptures could only take one so far. The letter killeth(including the Bible) but the spirit giveth life.
