dozzynet: Greetings to u OP, Pls my right eye itches a lot and the vision from this same eye is blured. Wasn't so before. I think its as a result of addiction to phone. Now my fingers are always in my eye removing cataracts from this same right eye. Pls what can i do about it Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Dozzynet, When it comes to itching sensation in the eye, some of the commonest causes are allergens, dry eye and Astigmatism. If the root cause is taken care of, u will have relief. So, here r some questions for u : Do u experience watery/teary eye? Is the itching recurrent ? Do u experience the blur vision evrytime or just when u star at your phone for a long time SECONDLY... Using ur phone all the time doesn't really cause those symptoms if u don't have an underlying refractive error (like Presbyopia, hyperopia ). THIRDLY...Those things u r removing from ur eye r likely to be discharge and not Cataracts. Cataract is the clouding of the lens in the eye.

Hi Lizboh.....laser treatment is not for cross eye. The management of Strabismus (cross eye) are basically Eyeglasses, prism, vision therapy and muscle surgery. You can send me a mail for further explanations.

Basically, Eyebrite contains anti-oxidants, Vitamins (A, C, E) ocular nutrients, Zinc and other components. Its doesn't have any significant side effect. However, it will take some time to notice the changes.

Hello Shawlay..,retinitis pigmentosa is hereditary and therefore there is little you can do about the probability of transferring it to your baby. But what U can do is to always take ur baby for yearly assessment. The earlier its detected the better. Basically, retinitis affect more of the Rod cells that help with night visions. Vitamin A and Omega-3 diets help to manage and slow down the rate of progression of Retinitis Pigmentosa.

NO SIR !!! Contact lens is a small concave optical device fitted on the cornea of the eye. What U can do is to get the power of the contact lens, and get an equivalent lens power fitted on ur Ray Ban frame.

noble4d: Thanks for responding doctor, I appreciate. I don't work in a dusty environment and it does not come and go, it happens often. I mostly experience the redness and tears eyes when I expose my eyes to any light rays e.g sun, T.V, computer. Can I be using the sodium chloromoglycate as a continues process?... And again what can I use to wipe out stubborn stains from my eyes? Thanks in anticipation.

It seems u are having either Astigmatism or dry eye. I want to know if U have any relief from using the sodium cromoglycate.

bakynes: Hello doctor been having dis problem since last year, I noticed my sight/vision goes blurry for about 10 minutes with pains from my eye balls and after I can see clearly again. Once I notice it's about to start I put on my dark shades and then it's avoided. What could be the possible cause and d solution to this problem.

Most of the young patients that come to our Eye Clinic always complain of pple calling them stuffs like "Four Eyes ", "professor", "GraNny". Funny but I try to show empathy. The bottom line remains: Glasses is not a measure of intelligence.

UniqueGem: I use glasses but i don't go out with them, only my parents, siblings and close frnds know this. Though recently i got another one and i asked the optician to help me change the frame to a fanciful one so when i wear them outside people tink it's swag. If u see my bible eeh; EXTRA GAINT PRINT. Becos if i try looking at the screen where bible passages are projected in church, na so water go flow for my eyes.

Yazmin: Scientifically, people with high I.Q literally have the brains boiling due to so much metabollic work used in thinking.
Thus the vapour from the boiling brain is either released through the eyes, skin or ears.
These vapour causes mist in the eyes, which hampers their clear sight and thus a need for glasses to correct enable proper sight.
In other climes, the effect on the ears and skin could be corrected through the use of 'beats by dre' special enhancers or petroleum jelly by unilever....

Lol...yea, for real. Was chatting with a new gal on bbm recently and one question she ask on d first day was "are U financially stable" Smh for 'some' gals. Like U rightly said, most of these relationships are basically trade_by_barter.

All these gals shouting here behave as if ladies don't also double date or even triple date. Some have a Recharge CArd BF, BiS BF, HaiR BF, manicure BF, Shopping BF...bla bla bla. Abegiii...Most Nigeria gals date for the "benefits" , infact some take it as a source of income. So, they are comfortable being some1 "Main Chick" and while playing "Side ChiCk" for 10 other guys.

I do experience watery, itching, and reddish eye with light sensitivity. I visited an eye specialist who told me I have allergic conjunctivitis. He prescribed some eye drops for me ( spersadex compound, sodium chromoglycate). He said that it does not have a cure but I can manage it by applying sodium chromoglycate.

Hello Nobel., some allergic conjunctivitis are seasonal while some come and goes. Like we have advised on this thread, some eye drops do provide relief but its important to also deal with the allergy trigger or the cause. E.g do u work in a dusty or in an environment that's has particles or pollens ? Does the itching come at a certain period or type of the year? Do u have refractive error like Astigmatism ?? I prefer Eye drops like Zaditen or Stafen (Ketotifen) which is an antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer combinations. Sperssallerg which contain Antazoline, is also good for TEMPORAL management of allergic conjunctivitis.

The Zaditen Dr. Steroid recommended is both a mast cell stabilizer and antihistamine, so just use that. I prescribe it often for my patients too.

The actions of the soldiers were unethical and unprofessional. Its condemnable. Lesser sentences should be meted out to them. I need your help, I have some issues with my eyes: its itching me and this itchying causes water to come out of my eyes, it also gives me a running nose and constant sneezing. Please note that this problem is seasonal especially during raining season. I have been to an eye clinic and the eye drop given to me only worked for some minutes and the problem will start again. The name of the eye drop is spersallerge. Please I want you to recommend some drugs that can stop this problem finally for me and also tell me what I can be doing to avoid the reoccurence. Let me say smth b4 Dr. Steroid answers U. The symptoms U described points towards 'Seasonal Eye Allergy' (SAC). To be honest SAC is difficult to treat. This is because as long as the eye is exposed to the things causing such allergic reactions it might continue to result in the itching. The eye drops (such the Sperssallergy) provides temporal relief. But a combination of Antihistamines and mast cell stabilizers will do u more good. Plus try to find out wat triggers the itchings and minimize them.

kechai: i recently noticed that when am standing with my friends, they will be reading something that is far but i wont be able to see what they are reading. i decided to see an eye doctor. when i got there, the doctor conducted a test on my eye and also asked me to look through one equipment like that. she said i should be lookin at a red car. after the test, she said i have astigmatism in one eye and also myopia. she also gave me glasses but since i finished that test, my eye problem worsen. tears has been coming out of the eye for the past one week eventhough it has reduced. and whenever i looked at the computer screen, it get worse. am even regretting going for the test. what will i do? another thing is that the doctor told me that glasses does not correct the eye so i don't know the essence of giving me glasses. she said it can only bring the image closer. i don't want to wear glasses.

U are likely to be longsighted or having a combination of long sightedness and astigmatism. What I would advice is that u see ur eye Doctor for tests and possible refractive corrections.........Btw, if you are upto 38yrs and above, then presbyopia might also be involved.

Personally, this is how I deal with pimples. First, I noticed I have oily skin, so I stop using cream on my face. Secondly, I always use face wipes to keep my face clean frm dusts so that the pores are not clogged. That has help me a lot. If I try those anti-bacteria creams it just get worst, so I just stick to good face hygiene. Thirdly, I noticed pimples get worst when am so stressed up with work over a long time, especially if I don't find time to eat properly. So I take plenty fruits, water and watch my diet. I hope this helps some1

Good evening. Let me make my little contribution b4 the Op answer ur questions. From my experience in managing patients, your complaints are likely to be as a result of uncorrected refractive errors, like Astigmatism. Another possible cause might be 'dry eye' syndrome. The third factor could be allergens. To get a good diagnosis, let me know the following : Do u usually have discharge associated with the itching ? Were u still having the itching wen u were using the glasses ? Have u used any medication in the past for the itching ?
