NSNA: I have removed the name.
Update the first post with the link so people know where to donate with paypal. Why is their a 5% charge for each donation going through the e-payment channel you created? The $10 you donated has been converted to $8.88 after the charges were taken into account We are not comfortable with this arrangement Sir @pickabeau1 |

Update Re – Action Plan and way forward
First and foremost, we would like to apologise for the unnecessary delay but be rest assured we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scene to move as quickly as we possibly can. As it stands, we currently have a field worker stationed with DJ. Our plan is to have him relocated back to lagos where he can receive the much needed dialysis pending the time we are able to get definitive diagnosis done as well as facilitate travelling documents needed to fly him out of the country. We will work with those that have made primary contacts with the hospitals in lagos to see if they can send an ambulance to pick him up. We do not think it’s ideal for a frail patient to be transported using a public transport Ambulance transportation is our only choice.
We will also implore that you donate to DJ’s cause as he has to get better. Money cannot do it alone so please join hands together to also pray for him.
Lastly, we will be providing you with new account details so as to accept new donations. We will announce each and every donation on this thread as well as expenditures incurred.
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation

I would imagine the first step is to properly diagnose him then we will take it from their |

Can I please plead that you guys stop asking for updates. I understand the tendency for us humans to be anxious in cases such as this but the fact of the matter is that is simply not going to help the situation in any shape or form. He needs your prayers and that’s where your energy should be focused on. I pray he gets better
We remain hopeful |

booqee: exactly! That is why babyosisi and some other medical workers strongly suggested going abroad (India to be precise) or UCH which is still ok compared to the general healthcare system in Nigeria. Going abroad might be the best option but it involves a lot of coordination that you guys aren't taking into account. The urgent need is for him to be stabilized then next steps can be ironed out in parallel |

There are two physical confirmation that the case is genuine Chaircover who is a member of TeHN instructed her 80 year old retired Healthcare professional mum to help confirm the case after which we officially announce the confirmation on this thread. The case is genuine and you shouldn't try and divert the attention/focus of the thread Mr |

UjSizzle: I know that. How many people do? I'm just saying, I know what it's like having the world at your feet because people think you're beautiful. It's easy to think it will always be that way, that it will never change. If people stopped celebrating beauty, or making women think that's all that really matters, then maybe we'll stop having people like the OP complain about the same old thing all the time. Don't teach someone to live a specific lifestyle and then punish them when they act it out. |

Romance › Re: Ladies: Your Present And Future Life Outcome by jaybee3(m): 9:35am On Nov 10, 2014 |
UjSizzle: You spend a lot of time hammering about fading beauty, yet most of what we do is teach women that to be beautiful means to own the world. And then, when they act the script that has been handed to them, we turn around and try to 'school' them out of it.
How does this work again? |

luluosas: I wish the OP quick recovery.
However, I am pissed off with Seun and every other Admins on Nairaland here, who are responsible for putting threads on the front page. This man posted on 23rd October, 2014, begged the Admins to please put his news on the front page at least to attract sympathy and concern, which he desperately needed at the time. Two days later, 25th October, a sister confirmed the brother's sick state and yet nothing was done by the Admins to put the news on front page.
It took Seun and however is responsible for putting threads on front page 16 whole days to do so, 23rd October to 8th November. Haba! This is too bad na. What if any other thing had happened since? Please you people responsible for this should adjust.
Meanwhile, if it is those useless celebrities make up, naked dresses and their shameless acts that was posted about, quick quick they will make front page. Seun this is not too good. Thank you. It's unreasonable to expect every single cry for help thread to graze the FP. These cases if and when alerted usually go through rigorous verification process so as to protect funds donated as well as ensure donations are used for the intended purpose. Hindsight is very easy to stress but please let's apply some sort of reason to the case at hand |
