RoadStar:Use your God given brain my friend. Nigeria bank stocks are generally over-valued with little or No assets to write home about evidenced by the Madam Oceanic bank using the banks money to buy assets in her own name then loaning them back to the back. Have you actually ever thought if the current value is actually the right value of the stocks or your ignorance is not going to allow you do basic stock valuation SMH |

A man who is the first person ever convicted of trafficking females out of the UK, in a case involving two Nigerian girls, has been jailed. Anthony Harrison, 32, was sentenced to 20 years for four trafficking offences as well as two of false imprisonment. Harrison, of Stratford, east London, was cleared of two counts of rape, at Woolwich Crown Court. The charges related to teenage victims who alleged they were subjected to witchcraft and violence. Juju magic He imprisoned both girls - aged 14 and 16 - at his home in Albert Square, Stratford, in 2009, before attempting to traffic them to Spain and Greece as prostitutes. The two had been controlled by Juju magic rituals. The case is thought to be the first of its kind in Europe to involve a prosecution linked to this practice. Both girls came from small villages in Edo, Nigeria, and were sold into prostitution with the help of the local Juju priest. Juju, sometimes known as voodoo or magic, is a significant part of West African culture which is particularly prevalent in the Edo state of Nigeria, alongside other religions such as Christianity. 'Persuade victims' Police said Harrison was a key player in a sophisticated network of West African people traffickers who are operating in the UK. After Harrison was convicted, the prosecution told the court: "This has been something of a unique case and ground-breaking. It's the first time there has been a prosecution for trafficking out of the UK. "It's the first time the Crown has been able to persuade victims of this type of offences to give evidence." He was found guilty of two counts of trafficking women into the UK, two counts of trafficking women out of the UK and two counts of false imprisonment. https://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/53922000/jpg/_53922175_co722-10harrison-1.jpg |

Over-flogged issue but quite a simple answer. Men are supposed to be the head (African mentality) so usually when this can't be the case, pride/anger usually become the order of the day. |
^^ Here you go => http://www.thebigchoice.com/Jobs/Shell/ That's the starting salary for UK graduates. Starting salary in naij will be a lil lower but as a technical graduate you should expect extra income from shift and offshore duties. |
Smuggler swallowed 101 packets of cocaine 06 July 2011 A man from south London has admitted swallowing 101 packets of cocaine and attempting to smuggle them through the port of Dover. Kingsley Nwanekwu, a German national living in Greenwich, was jailed for 8 years after pleading guilty to the offences on the first day of his trial at Canterbury Crown Court. Nwanekwu was stopped by officers at Dover's eastern docks on his arrival from Brussels on 26 November 2010. After questioning him, officers conducted a body search and Mr Nwanekwu was arrested as officers suspected he had swallowed drugs. After a day in custody the 47-year-old was found to have swallowed 101 packages, which contained a total of 1.27kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of £280,000. He pleaded guilty on 5 July and was handed an 8 year jail term. Malcolm Bragg, criminal and financial assistant director, UK Border Agency, said: 'The concealment technique used by this individual shows the lengths some people will go to in order to avoid detection. 'The seizure of these drugs reflects the robust controls we have in place at the UK border which are backed by dedicated criminal investigation teams. 'Cocaine is a drug that destroys not only the lives of individual users, but also their families and the wider community.' Anyone with information about activity they suspect may be linked to drug smuggling should call our hotline on 0800 59 5000. Our officers use hi-tech search equipment to combat immigration crime and detect banned and restricted goods that smugglers attempt to bring into the country. They use an array of search techniques including sniffer dogs, carbon dioxide detectors, heartbeat monitors and scanners - as well as visual searches - to find well-hidden stowaways, illegal drugs, firearms and cigarettes which would otherwise end up causing harm to local people, businesses and communities. |

thomasjohn:Cos getting in like everyone is advising you should be your main concern. You are still a graduate with very little bargaining chips so concentrate more on passing the rigorous recruitment process. Most people that negotiate salaries generally have something to offer and are able to back whatever claims they make. In fact these people are most likely to be head-hunted. |
Salary scale = > Range from Min to Max Actual pay = > Any agreed figure within the scale R you sure u r actually ready to venture into world of employment ![]() |

buzugee:It's like u r confusing me even more, most people with science background are able to design basic household items but designing and manufacturing them on a large scale will need intervention from Investors or broad support from the Government. Nigerian investors are simply non existent when it comes to items that they can't see their profits within a short time frame hence the reason why most people flock to buying and selling. Over here in the UK, we have Investors on the dragons den program always ready to invest in latest technologies. They not only provide cash but also provide the much needed expertise on marketing and supply chain management . This simple program on it's own does indirectly motivate young entrepreneurs to think outside of the box cos they know they had get willing backers if the products they are producing would be fit for purpose. Nigeria is a jungle and most success stories from the country are people either in politics or those that are friends with the government. |
Making more sense now ain’t we now? People need enabling environment to blossom. No amount of will and determination will make one succeed in Naija. One needs everything to click and without an environment that supports innovation in science and technology then people are being born to fail sort of. What the government ought to be doing is investing in research and development departments of institutions as well as technology ministry providing grants for people with ideas that can be further developed which in turn will serve the nation in great deal. |
