OAM4J: Dont worry, if I become the president you will remain the 1st lady, and I wont marry more wives
But seriously, Okonjo Iweala is not about speaking grammar, she is one intelligent woman I know. And my dear it is not rice and beans or godfatherism to get to the level she is now especially in world dominated and controlled by men. Also if you know about her activities while she was Finance Minister under a tough obj, you will know that she is not someone that can be pushed over by some unintelligent boko haram men. Think about it, how many ministers negotiated their terms of engagement before accepting to work with GEJ?
I agree with you that the problem is with us Nigerians and that is why it might be difficult for someone like her to be president. Nigerians are not ready for a change or many are just to dumb or brainwashed not to recognize the need for a change or the change we need. When Nigerians are ready, they will only vote for the likes of Iweala, Fashola, Ameachi, Chime and may be El Rufai, people with track records of achievements and passion to serve. Nigeria being a democratic country needs more than a super hero to enable her fulfil her ultimate potential. Impact of Ngozi's main achievement on the common Nigerian is very questionable even though she ought to be applauded. We need to change from bottom up. |

BABE!: Here is the deal; Madam Ngozi is not the answer to Nigeria's cry for help, (neither is fashola). We are the answer (the citizens). But, ALAS, we're not even ready to give the answer; we are not ready for a change. We're satisfied with mediocrity. Until we're ready for a change--change ain't gonna come. kodewrita: You mean he will soon be dissapointed and frustrated like YOU.
He might succeed where YOU DIDN'T.
That doesnt mean we should encourage delusions but at the same time, lets not kill hopes because of our own failures. Aspiring billionaires don't seek answers on the internet. They are already out there working day/night taking risks et al |

Hi and big ups to the amount of goodness on this thread.
I need your advice an this issue: What can be done if a genuine invitation letter from a relative in the UK has an obvious mistake on it such as the year of birth of one of the invitees? The options being considered are:
1. Request another letter, which will take another two weeks and is really a last resort as he will need to courier it, again . 2. Submit it like that, and hope it doesn't mean anything and will not disqualify the entire visa application!!! 3. Get him to re-do it, scan and email it across, which is the most convenient option for us all 4. Submit it like that, but get him to write another signed letter addressed to d uk embassy, scan and email it, explaining the mistake he made on the initial original letter.
NB: The invitees are all going for the first time!!! Virgin passport alert! All other documents are available, valid and original, Better if signed too I have always pdf docs/emailed to prospective entry clearance recipients. Lot easier and cost effective |
