Native Doctor Performs ‘Engagement Ritual’ On A Sugar Mummy And Her Young Lover In Onitsha (Video)

IgbereTV captured the moment a native doctor was performing an engagement ritual on a woman and her younger lover at the Onitsha market in Anambra state.

The woman reportedly secured the services of the herbalist to carry out the ritual so that the young man would be committed to the relationship.

According to the people speaking behind the camera, the woman is a sugar mummy who allegedly intends to marry the toy boy, so she wants him not to consider any other lady for as long as they are together as a couple.

In the clip, the native doctor could be seen performing some fortification on both of them as he proceeds to handle different areas of the woman’s body in what is believed to be part of the process.

Popular award winning Rapper “Chinko Ekun” on Saturday evening met with the former Governor of Abia State and current Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

“Chinko Ekun” whose real names are “Oladapo Olamide Emmanuel” arrived the “Aso-Villa” Abuja residence of the Senate Chief Whip at about 3:15pm in company of his friends, IgbereTV reports.

The visibly thrilled prolific Rapper was ushered into the building and made his way straight the expansive visitor’s lounge to greet Senator Kalu who was already hosting other dignitaries.

Chinko Ekun who bagged “The Headies Award for Best Street-Hop Artiste for the Hit song “Able God” exchanged pleasantries with Senate Chief Whip and was immediately invited to join the banquet.

The highpoint of the visit was when Chinko performed his award wining song “Able God” to the admiration of the Senator Kalu and his guests. The performance reached a crescendo when Chinko Ekun switched to a freestyle session using a background instrumental in which the law graduate of OAU-ILE-IFE turned musician displayed his Rap prowess . However, Senator Kalu got everyone astonished when he stood up signaled Chinko to pause and joined the rap session.

The Chief Whip also engaged the youths in brief discus session on pertinent national issues and the legislative support for the creative industry.

Mob Sets Ablaze Truckload Of Salt In Onitsha Which Crushed A Cart Pusher To Death (Photos)

A truck fully loaded with salt was on Tuesday set ablaze by an angry mob in Onitsha after it killed a cart pusher, IgbereTV reports.

The incident happened around 9: 55 am on Tuesday, November 10, at Upper Iweka, along the Onitsha-Owerri Road.

It was gathered that the truck driver fled the scene after the accident.

The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps Sector in the state, Kamal Musa, who confirmed the incident said the wheelbarrow pusher was crushed to death by a truck without a registration number.

“According to eyewitnesses , the truck driver slipped out of his lane due to excessive speeding and crushed a pedestrian, who is well known in the community, hence angry youths revenged by setting the truck ablaze when the driver was nowhere to be found," he said.

"The FRSC rescue team from Upper Iweka outpost was immediately mobilised for rescue operations only to be intercepted by angry youths, who took the corpse of the victim away.” he added.

The state Sector Commander, Andrew Kumapayi, warned motorists, especially truck drivers, to abide by the stipulated speed limits in built-up areas to avert road crashes.

13-Year-Old Boy Thrown Into Fire For Allegedly Stealing Food In Ebonyi (Graphic Photos)

A 13-year-old boy, Ifeanyi Umoke sustained severe burns after he was thrown into fire for allegedly stealing uncooked rice.

IgbereTV reports that the incident happenned on Saturday, November 7, at Inikiri Benard village, in Effium community, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

It was gathered that the boy, whose mother is late, while his father is bedridden with a chronic mental illness, was thrown into a fire by two traders who accused him of stealing rice from a shop at a market.

After throwing the boy into fire, the perpetrators identified Paul Ifere Amah and Paul Nweke left him to burn to death.

The Chairman of Human Rights Defenders (HURIDE) Ebonyi State chapter, Sampson Oko Nweke, who confirmed the incident in a statement, condemned the dastardly act.

"HURIDE got a call from one Mr George Etamesor of the HRCRC over this grave abuse on this poor child," Mr Nweke said.

"Because he was caught trying to steal some rice in their village market, he was tied up, thrown into burning fire in a refuse dump in the market and allowed to roast like a goat. The perpetrators, Mr Paul Ifere Amah and Mr Paul Nweke of the same village after committing this evil, saw the critical condition of their victim, yet they abandoned him to groan to death.

"It took the intervention of sympathisers to rush him to AMURT hospital there in Effium,but due to the severity of the damages, the roasted boy was declined treatment. Efforts were thereafter made to bring him to AE-FETHA2 where he is currently battling between life and death.

When HURIDE interviewed the perpetrators, they said;

"Ifeanyi has been in the habit of stealing cassava, yam and others. So this time, we caught him stealing our rice and we decided to teach him a lesson so that he will not come back to steal our food again. It was not our intention to burn his whole body. We only tied him up and after beating him, we tried to roast his toes in the fire, but because he was struggling, he slipped of our hands and fell into the fire and got burnt beyond our expectation. So far, the police have duly been communicated."

Spokesperson of the Ebonyi State Police Command, DSP Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident, however, said the police are yet to receive an official statement on the matter.

Ekiti shames seventh convicted sex offender

The Ekiti State Government has publicly shamed the seventh convicted sex offender under its name and shame initiative.

The sex offender, whose details were pasted in public places and included in the sex offenders’ register, is a 51-year-old man, Ajayi Peter.

Peter was sentenced to life imprisonment by the High Court of Ado Ekiti for the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

The convict, a native of Itapa Ekiti in the Oye council area, was resident at Ijero Ekiti in the Ijero Local Government Area of the state.

Before him, six others had been publicly shamed at different times since 2019 when the initiative began under the Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration.

The Ekiti State Attorney General, Mr Olawale Fapohunda, in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, said the name and shame publication was in furtherance of the state government’s zero tolerance for sexual violence in the state.

Fapohunda said, “Under the initiative, names and photographs of convicted rapists are pasted on billboards in prominent public spaces in their communities and their council headquarters and as well uploaded on the website of the ministry of justice and other state government platforms in addition to being recorded in the sex offenders’ register and as well disqualified from benefitting from the governor’s power of prerogative of mercy.”

The state government said it publicly shamed convicted rapists to serve as a deterrent to would-be sex offenders and task families on the upbringing of their members.

The Katsina State Police Command on Tuesday, November 3, killed a member of an armed robbery gang operating along the Bakori-Kabomo road, IgbereTV reports.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Isah Gambo, who confirmed this in a short statement on Wednesday, November 4, said investigation is ongoing to arrest other members of the robbery syndicate.

"Today at about 20:30hrs, armed robbers blocked Bakori - Kabomo road, Katsina state. Dpo Bakori led a team of police men to the scene, engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel and as a result of which one of the hoodlums was gun down and one locally made toy gun recovered. Investigation is ongoing with a view to arrest other members of the syndicate" he said.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has kicked against the Federal Government’s move to regulate social media, IgbereTV reports.

President of CAN Youth Wing Apostle Nyeneime Andy who addressed reporters in Abuja on Tuesday November 3, averred that they will resist government’s plan to regulate the use of social media space as Nigerians have the freedom to speak and express themselves without inhibitions.

The Christian group which stressed that the positive side of social media outweighs the negative side, further pointed out that there are genuine social media users who also earn their living and impact on society through the platform.

Andy said;

“Social media is a strong platform that can be used to sharpen discussions, even though it has negative sides. Millions of people make their daily living from social media, even when some people claim that it destroys. Millions of others are also learning from social media.

“In fact, Facebook seems to be the strongest religion in the world. The fact that there are few negative sides to it does not mean that there are no good sides.

“Undoubtedly, the positive side of social media outweighs the negative side.”
