As we can still remember, the Nigerian Medical Association, N.M.A drew a decision to embark on a national strike action on 14 December, just a day after the Federal Government succeeded in reaching to the demands of ASUU. But reports getting to us states that the the largest professional organization of physicians in Nigeria and in Africa, made up of more than 35,000 members from 36 state branches and the branch from the federal capital territory, has decided to suspend the strike till 7 Febuary.

The Nigerian Medical Association, N.M.A suspended there nation wide industrial strike that was planned to begin on Monday, 6th january 2014.

Mr Osahon Enabulele the president of NMA stated during the Emergency National Executive Committee of the association in Abuja, on Sunday, today that the decision was reached after weighing the negative impact the indefinite withdrawal of its services will cause many poor innocent Nigerians.

He continued that, “All medical and dental practitioners nationwide are hereby directed to continue to render their normal and highly cherished services to the lovely and caring people of Nigeria.”

He ended that the N.M.A will step up on February 7; on a meeting with the Government to re-appraise the commitment of the government on the implementation of the M.o.U signed with the association and take actions as she might deem fit.

Enabulele also acknowledged “several honest appeals made by well-meaning people of Nigeria and our friends in the fourth estate of the realm for more time to be given by NMA for dialogue with government.’’

He applauded the ongoing efforts and commitment of President Jonathan to address some of the association’s demands.

According to the guy that asked me this question, he said he dated a girl for about three months. She loved him like mad but he never reciprocated the love back, he was just pretending. Along the line he got feed up with the relationship and all the whole pretense when he finally met another girl that he loves and his whole heart was really into her. He decided to break the relationship and move on to the next girl.On telling the unwanted girlfriend that he is feed up and that she should just go. The last one he was up to now was playing on him, like……using him like a spare boy friend who will provide her material needs when her main boyfriends fail to do so.He came up to me narrating his story yesterday, he asked me, ‘Is it the girl’s curse that is following him about or something else?” Ididn’t know what to give him back as an answer, but i know my blog readers will have some useful words for him that will answer his question and get him back on track. Because, the way i look at him, my guy is really in a very big mess.

The most painful thing that can ever happen to a pregnant mother is watching her pregnancy being aborted through a miscarriage. It is increasingly difficult to bear when the pregnancy is the first issue.

So, what is miscarriage? Medically, miscarriage is defined as the spontaneous abortion of the fetus before the 20th week of the pregnancy.

Most times, the signs and symptoms of miscarriage is mistaken for a late mensuration. National Institutes of Health reported that ‘about half of all fertilized eggs die and are washed away spontaneously. This means that a pregnant mother can loss her pregnancy even before she recognizes that she is pregnant.

Miscarriages can be divided into four, namely:

Threatened Abortion:

This refers to a pregnancy threatened with bleeding before the 20th week of the pregnancy.

Incomplete Abortion:

The pregnancy has partially flushed away, leaving a part of it behind. Retained products maybe part of the fetus, placenta or membrane.

Inevitable Abortion:

This is when the pregnancy is still intact but the medical personal has observed that a miscarriage will definitely occur.

Complete Abortion:

All products of the pregnancy has being washed out. The miscarriage has occurred.

SYMPTOMS:

Like every other medical problem, miscarriages will give room for our body to alert us on the impending danger, it is advised that a pregnant woman should seek her Obstetric health care provider even if the symptom experienced is just mild and not related to miscarriage.

Bleeding
Back Pain
Weakness
Fever
Abdominal pain
Severe stomach Cramps.

CAUSES:

Miscarriages may occur for many reasons, some of them includes:

Genetic
Uterine
Hormonal Abnormalities
Reproductive tract infections
Tissue injection
Endocrine and immune dysfunction
Endometriosis
Psychogenetic factors

Other risk factors that can cause miscarriage includes:

1. Cervical Incompetency:

This mainly occurs if when the woman has gotten her cervix uterine wall bruised while trying to evacuate an unwanted baby during her unmarried days. The cervix becomes wider as a result of the abortion she is trying to perform. I most cases this act affects the woman in later years because the wide cervix will not be able to hold the pregnancy intact within the body, and as it grows, it will fall off like fruits do when they are ripe. This is not applicable to only women who had aborted babies some time ago in their lives but it can just occur like that in any woman.

2. Hypothyroidism:

This is a state whereby the thyroid hormone is produced insufficiently in the thyroid gland.

3. Smoking: The possibility of a miscarriage during pregnancy is increased if the woman is a smoker, and further increases if the husband is a smoker too.

4. Prevention and Treatment:

Presently, there is no method to prevent or treat a complete miscarriage, but if the miscarriage is still of the inevitable or threatened type, the health care provider will perform a pelvic exam. Identifying the cause of the miscarriage can help treat it and even prevent a recurrent one.

Bed rest is usually advised. Then after, some tests will be carried out to determine the cause the actual cause of the miscarriage. The treatment will now be based on the result from the test. If the miscarriage occurred because of Hormonal imbalance, the insufficient hormone is administered immediately, if it is because of cervical incompetence, the cervix is sutured using cervical cerlage, a surgical technique that reinforces the cervix by placing sutures on the top of the opening on the cervix so as to narrow down the cervical canal.

At most, when bleeding continues, it is advised to completely remove the fetus whether it is due or not so as to save the woman’s life.

Exercising regularly not only increases energy muscle tone, lung capacity, bone strength and so on, it also decreases depression. It is an effective anti-depressant, improves mood and stimulates the production of endorphin in the brain. Endorphins is a group of peptide hormones found in the brain that act as neurotransmitters(substance responsible for sending nerve signals across a synapse between two neurons) and has properties similar to morphine.

Science has also discovered that exercise helps increase creativity. Try this out, when you are empty inside your number six(6), with no inspiration, get on and exercise, you will see that your creative system will be rebooted. And you will remain inspired.

Medically, it is not good to exercise after meal, workouts should be before meal. These i knew right from childhood but what i don't understand, is it advisable to exercise before you go to bed? like let me say, two(2) hours before going to bed. I have asked some specialists, some will answer yes, while the others will answer no, just confused. Please can you put me through with your opinion?

Glory be to God, the creator of heaven and earth for protecting our lives all through 2013 and also through the few days we have experienced in 2014. That we made it through, it is not by our myth, nor by our power but I believe it is because of the love that the almighty has bestowed on us.

With great joy and happiness I write this piece of article, titled ‘7 steps to success this 2014’. This article I think will be an eye opener for you to realize that you can make it to any height you have dreamt to be in this 2014, Nigeria is a very great and nice country, filled with opportunities for everybody. It is left for you to think deep inside your mind and harvest out something God has put in there for you. Our mind is like another world, were impossibilities are possible. The great inventions we see today started from the mind, it was first designed with imaginations, extracted with thoughts and surfaced into the world with actions. What I am trying to say? Our success lies within us, it is inside our minds, it is left for you to think deep and harvest it.

One of the problems in Nigeria and other countries is unemployment. But I bet you, if Nigerian should stop seeing unemployment as a problem Nigeria will go a long way in its financial status. What am I saying? There is no job, there is no job, why not create one for yourself? Think deep and you will identify that thing God has installed in you. Nobody was sent into these world empty handed. I hate it when I see young people loiter the streets doing nothing, blaming the Government for their being unemployed. Why are you in school, or why did you go to school? School ordinarily shouldn’t be a place where you are trained to come out and work for people, you are trained to graduate; create something for yourself and employ people. Below is the tips to get you started and motivated on your path to success.

1. Follow your passion:

What is passion? Anything that drives up your emotions, anything that you feel at home doing. People are blessed with different talents and to identify them, you need to figure out those things that drive your passion. Until you identify your talent, or let me say, once you have identified your talent. You are on the verge to success.

2. Develop Yourself:

Before we dive into this, what is talent? Talent can be of any form. They are those things God almighty blessed us with, those things we can do with ease and do it more than others. Those things that we are happy and fulfilled when doing, no matter how stressful and boring it may be. When you pinpoint your talent, you have to develop yourself. Look at yourself as a germinating seed in your field. To develop yourself you have to come outside, participate in events, do things that challenge you, to succeed in life you have to step away from your comfort zone. As they say, practice makes perfect. With time you will see that, even if you weren’t that good in your talent, but so far is your talent, you will surely get a grip of it with practice. A very good and close example of people that succeeded in developing their talents is our well known musician, Wizkid.

3. Don’t Allow Your Failure To Be Another Person’s Joy:

This one is very important. See, there are so many obstacles the devil will set for you on your path to success. Most of them he will set up with the people around you. My grandfather ones told me, few days before he died, ‘Henry, don’t allow your sorrows and failure to be another person’s joy.’ I was a kid then and never understood what he meant by that until when I got to the tertiary institution, a lecturer wanted to Bleep me up, but to God be the Glory he didn’t succeed. So what am I trying to say, even if somebody, or people allows the devil to use them as an obstacle to hinder your success. Lol…. Just keep singing for them in flavour’s voice, ‘Destiny can only be delayed, it can never be destroyed’.

4. Be Focused:

Keep yourself present physically and emotionally in everything you do. Know what you are aiming for and keep doing it, avoid another form of distraction that will come your way.

5. Know Your Strength And Weakness:

Identify your strength and weakness, because only when you do so that is when you will you will know what you are fighting to achieve.

6. Think:

Still saying it yet again. Think, think, think. We have the brain but we are not making use of it. Research has it that in every 100% of human beings, 85% are not thinking, 10% think they are thinking but they are not, leaving only 5% actually thinking. Bill gate, the world richest man via Microsoft employed someone that his job is only to think for the company. This is to tell you the essence of settling down on a cool, noiseless area and walk through the world within you, maybe you might bump into the next big thing in the world while doing so.

7. Believe In God:

After all said and done, you have to pray, believe in you creator and have faith in him. If you are a Muslim, Christian, traditional worshipper or any other that you believe in, keep on believing, obey his commandments and every other thing will be added unto you. And like God said in the bible. ‘I will bless the works of your hands’.

Coach Stephen Keshi was filled with remorse as he submits the final list of players that will accompany him to South Africa for the CHAN , African Nations Championship. The names of some players were removed from the list among them are:

Top left back, Adeyinka Adedeji and striker, Gambo Mohammed. On leaving the camp the players voiced out that their misses was an act of the almighty God.

Another player dropped was Ikechukwu Azubuike, Mfom Udoh, Pius Abdulahi and eaglets Taiwo Awoniyi. The dropped players took their fates in good faces wishing their listed teammates the best of luck in South Africa whilst hoping for a call back to the super eagles next time.

never be fill up with no more space like the
memory card in your mobile phones, pc hard
disks and every other device that needs
something like memory to store things.
The Human brain consists of over one billion
neurons which each of them forms over 1,000
connections to other neurons which
approximately brings about trillions of
connections.
Neurons connect to each other so that each
helps with many memories at a time clocking
closer to or above 2.8 petabytes which when
converted will give millions of gigabytes. With
2.8 petabytes you can go on to imagine yourself
as a smart phone, with a super camera that is
capable of capturing up to 3.4 million hours of
video recording time. If calculated, this implies
that the smart phone will continue recording for
over 300 years.
Assuming their isn’t any connections between

Most women are aware that wearing high heels can cause foot, knee and back problems but I don’t think they are aware that it can equally affect their reproductive organs. If at all it happens that they are all aware of the effect on their reproductive system, i don’t think any woman that wants to get pregnant during her life time will still step into the boutique to pick up a high heel.

High heels that are above 5 inches in height will make the wearer have an abnormal posture. This posture will make her pelvis tilt forward. The more the heel gets steeper, the more their pelvis tilts forward.

So what is the pelvis and why is its tilting forward while you are on high heels so dangerous?

Seems like everything is turning out fine in our
dear country, Nigeria. If you can remember last
year’s christmas and even the year’s before it,
we will realize that 25th Decembers takes souls
away as it passes by. But this year’s own was
an exception. As the police recounts……
The police in Abuja said the Christmas was
celebrated in the FCT on Wednesday without any
incident of crime.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP
Altine Daniel, who confirmed this to the News
Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, said
everything went well in terms of security.
“Things are going on well, we have not recorded
any incident so far”, she said.
Daniel urged the residents to be security-
conscious and to report any suspicious
movement to the police or other law
enforcement agencies.
It will be recalled that the Commissioner of
Police in the FCT, Mr Femi Ogunbayode, had
assured residents of adequate security before
the Christmas.
He said the command would collaborate with
sister security agencies to achieve that.
Also, the FRSC Sector Commander in the FCT,
Mr Kayode Fanola, told NAN that only two road
traffic accidents were recorded in the territory on
Christmas day, but were not fatal.
According to him, one of the crashes occurred
on the Kubwa expressway while the other
was on the Nyanya highway.
“The crashes are normal and were not fatal”, he
said, calling on motorists to drive with care.

You guys know why you support keshi excluding him, but i dont like the idea at all.

Coach Stephen keshi, has placed a ban on the
Nigerian young and talented player, Kelechi
Iheanacho.
According to Keshi, the youngster has missed
one week training with the team since he
opted to leave camp to sign for English
club, Manchester City.
He believed that the city deal must have fell
through and kelechi, together with his agent
should have being back to face other things.
Keshi stated that the boy was doing well with
the team while in the camp, he has impressed
everybody a lot.
He said that he is no more part of the plan for
the African nations championship that is going to
kick off by 11th of January.
But, Keshi why? Allow the young talented boy to
express his talent for Nigeria. I believe he is the
next big name in the history of football in
Nigeria.
