PoliticsRe: Kukah: How I Convinced Obasanjo To End The Feud With Atiku by JayCynic(m): 2:55pm On Oct 15, 2018
Ioannes:
I know what your problem is. You have internalized pain, poverty and suffering so much you've begun to enjoy the feeling.

Quoting Scriptures makes you cum, right?

I guess your own scripture does not contain the portion where Christ used whip on those desecrating the temple by selling and performing sharp practices there.

You must also have missed where he called the Pharisees, the political leaders of that time a brood of vipers.

I won't bother trying to convince you not to vote Atiku. I am sure you and your kind were still in diapers when Atiku was vice President.

It would be infradignitatem for me to debate with you why Atiku shouldn't be voted for.

You are free to vote for him, that is if you are old enough to vote.

Now, shift.
I knew you were intellectually crude when I saw your first post. According to your logic, Jesus should have "berated" the thieve who asked him for mercy, and "scold" the other one who mocked him. Jesus would have "berated" the crowd when Barrabas' freedom was chosen over his crucifixion. Jesus would have "berated" Zaccheus the tax collector, who wanted to see him, Jesus would have "berated" Matthew his own disciple knowing he was a tax collector. Before coming at me with your blunt knowledge, you should understand that Jesus didn't whip those traders for making dishonest profits, he did because they defiled the temple. He scolded the Scribes because they were unwilling to change, not because they were evil. The Bishop did exactly what Jesus would have done, Pacification.

As for having "internalized pain, poverty and suffering." Thank God you don't, but understand that there are more than 70% of Nigerians who do, I'd much rather be in pains, be a pauper, be wretched with the people around me, than be in pleasure, luxury and happiness while watching my people suffer. If dining with sinners is going to liberate the people, so be it.

PoliticsRe: Kukah: How I Convinced Obasanjo To End The Feud With Atiku by JayCynic(m):
Ioannes:
Shame on you Bishop. Instead of you to berate the two of them for robbing Nigeria blind when they both ruled together, you are here forming peacemaker between two super thieves.

A big shame on you Kukah.

Truly, there are no more Christians in this world, just pretenders to the name.
Jesus Christ prayed for a thieve on the cross, and one of Jesus's disciples was a thieve. Why should the Bishop waste time "berating thieves" when the nation is at the stakes of a tribal bigot and a religious tyrant. What is the shame? Is it being under the dictatorship of a stiff-necked Moslem leader, or is it trying to wager peace in the interest of the Christians and the country. You should upgrade your mental resolution cause it's very low.

How can "Soco" be a song of the year? Has African music demoralized and dilapidated to such a point? A song that is totally "lyricless" and meaningless. By logic, let's assume this is the best African song of 2018. By content, let's infer that African music is dead and gone.

Music/RadioAre There Any Specialized Musical Schools/Institutions In Nigeria? by JayCynic(op): 9:03am On Oct 06, 2018
Hi Nairalanders,
I'm 18 and I'm passionate about music, would have studied Music in the University but due to parental and societal influence at high school, I was moved to becoming a science student. I used to attend holiday lessons on Cello, Piano, Violin, Harmonica, Guitar, and loads of other instruments but it didn't help much. So I was wondering if there are higher institutions here in Nigeria which solely commit to the area of Music. Like I heard in Ghana, that they have an acclaimed Arts Academy where they only study courses like Pianology, Symphony/Solfa Notations, Musical Development/Instrumentalism etc. If there are such places in Nigeria, you guys would do me a great deal of good by sharing them on the comments. Location around P. H and Lagos would be very favourable.
Thank You

Although Fela will not win it, but he has blazed a trail smooth enough for the youths and the next generation of leaders to tread on. He has made a difference and has illuminated an ideology based on patriotism, human respect and moral values. These are the ideologies that sustain the efficiency of most advanced countries which we look up to. I trust that Nigerians will see this picture in immense clarity.

Not true. How many advanced countries have you been to in order to arrive at your conclusion?
I've read, I've observed and I've heard. One of my cousins is in Arizona State University, so I know what I'm talking of. Upper Middle Class folks discriminate a lot of lower placed people, they stereotype those who go to college as "kids of drug dealers and cyber fraudsters"
Class discriminatory settings exist in Communists and Socialists, Republican and Democrats, Liberals and Conservatives, Blacks and Whites, Christians and Atheists, Straights and Homosexuals, Lower Class and Middle Class.

Sorry to say, I mean no disrespect. I'm 17, I wasn't born in the time of Fela, I'm enthusiastic about Nigerian music.
I've listened to loads and loads of Fela's music but I can find nothing particularly inspiring in his songs, from the instrumentalism to the lyricism. The only thing is his social consciousness which is on the average, I watched some his performances, they were nothing exceptional or mind-blowing, just a man on panties and obviously under the influence of hard drugs. I don't really see why he is called a legend.

TV/MoviesRe: 5 Reasons Why Big Brother Nigeria Is Fake by JayCynic(m): 7:19pm On Mar 10, 2018

Too many idiots on this thread. Fools who haven't watched the show once yapping on about what they don't know. You could say the housemates were selected on the basis of nepotism. You could say Tobi was selected by Heritage bank to represent them just the same way Linda Ikeji probably selected Ahneeka who works for her and used her influence to get her into the show. But to say it's scripted is just pure stupidity. If it was scripted then the more interesting housemates would still be on. If it was scripted then the director lacks creativity. It's not like anything interesting ever happens on the show. The flashing of boobs and occasional sex is very very rare.

For those saying Nina usually looks like she's looking at the "director" when she talks: She's looking at the camera dimwit. There are cameras everywhere and they zoom in and zoom out. Of course it's bound to make someone feel uneasy when she wants to say it do something sensitive.

And for the people saying Big brother is strategically formulated to keep the population dumb; then what does football do? How does watching football every week make you a smarter and more informed citizen? How about all other forms of entertainment? Hypocrites will leave every other form of entertainment that's equally harmful and focus on BBNaija, which some of them watch secretly by the way.
All the current housemates certainly watched last year's edition and are aware of the sexuality and the plenitude of cameras in the house, yet they still go about having sex and going nude. Whats more scripted than that?
