Bitterleafsoup: What did Fashola inspect? The same rode and roundabout Ambode has been inspecting in 2 years. All I saw Fashola inspect were other peoples schools, while they can never tell us what happen to the millions he pocked from the World bank for education. Or is it that very ugly Tinubu stadium, which is a big disgrace. If you are talking about education, don't even go there at all. Using the LG I know very well, AILG, All those dilapidated schools in Tolu school complex were renovated. Some were completely knocked down and rebuilt. I know how CkC primary school Orodu used to be like before the rebuilding. Same goes for all the 20 LGs. Fashola did very well in the area of education. |
Business › Re: Why You Should Maintain Loyalty With One Bank by jaymichael(m): 7:17am On Oct 10, 2016 |
Donmams: I disagree OP. Nigerian banks are unreliable. I have been to the ATM several times where i couldn't withdraw cash because my bank had 'network' issues. Having multiple bank accounts in this case was my only saving grace. If you insist on maintaining just one bank for loyalty sake, be ready to sleep hungry one day! One day hunger good na, he should be ready to trek from Ikorodu to Epe one day. |

LeslieChow: One thing I have noticed and like about Ambode is that he works all through the week. Weekends are included as part of his work day.
That is the drive of someone who wants to get things done. Keep it up. Fashola too did that as Governor. I have a bros that works with Julius Berger who told me that Fashola does most of his inspections at night and during weekends. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu’s ‘Right Of First Refusal’ - By Muhammed Adamu by jaymichael(m): 10:21am On Oct 06, 2016 |
HungerBAD: Mohammed Adamu,
I do not know about you,or read any article by you before, but your write up deserves an award.
We forget easily how it all started. A lot of the commentators on National Discuss, deliberately try to forget ,or maybe were too young to remember Tinubu's role in the Democracy we enjoy today.
From his days in NADECO,which lead him going into exile,to his days as a Governor. Tinubu have always pushed for the interest of the common man.
The PDP boasted that they will be in Power for 50 Years, and one drunk Minister said for a Thousand Years.
Obasanjo was brutal, and he over ran the West with the PDP,and while the other Governors ran into hiding. It was only Tinubu that stood up to him,and that started the gradual demise of the PDP and their monopoly over the Nigeria political environment.
Is Tinubu perfect?no. But does he believe that the right people should be put in the right places to work? Absolutely yes. So far,Lagos is still the model State in Nigeria since 1999 and we owe Tinubu that.
The likes of Dino Maleye, who was an undergraduate at the ABU,and sleeping in his Father's living room, when Tinubu was in the trenches, fighting for what he(Dino) is enjoying today, will be the first to say he will beat Tinubu and his wife up,then even molest and get her pregnant.
Sad. Very sad how quickly we forget.
But history will be kind to Tinubu. Same Tinubu that picked a Pastor to be the Vice-president,even if he is Muslim.
I met Tinubu for the first time some 8 Years ago at a function ,and his down to earth charisma, and very sharp mind drew me to him.
The Politicians ganging up against him will fail. They will fail for the simple reason that they lack what it takes, like Tinubu to bring people together for a good cause.
I am not a Politician. I have not benefitted from any Politician in my life, I am not even Yoruba. But I am proud to call myself Tinubu's Boy.
Tinubu is a man with the interest of Nigeria at Heart. You couldn't have said it more correctly. 2 points you stated that startled me was 1. Tinubu's down to earth attitude and 2. His very sharp mind. Incidentally those 2 points are always highlighted by those that I have met who have interacted with Tinubu. I am also not a politician and I have not benefitted from the sharing of political "spoils of war" but I respect and admire the man Tinubu. |

macuwon: Chai i remember those days, camels and donkeys do the trick, wetin concern them with bad road. You can carry your plantain from Egypt and go and sell in Damascus or syria
Civilization spoilt things come to think of it, this is not a joking issue. In actual, it is a very viable and workable effort. Use beast of burden like donkeys and camels to carry produce from the farm (especially where the roads are not motorable) to where they can be conveyed to via motor vehicles or rail to the cities where they are needed. These animals don't need fuel and spare parts. Those that own these animals can convey for other farmers and charge a fee. Opportunities abound in challenging circumstances and situations. |

truthspeaks: How com u r not also blaming Amaechi ur yeye transport minister for dragging the then FG to court over sharing the ECA money wch wld hv bn a source of savings for us. Seems u zombies enjoy telling half-truths. The Governors forum dragged the FG to court because the FG was "pilfering" the ECA which belongs to the 3 tiers of government. So much unexplained deductions from the ECA was going on by the FG. The call by the Governors forum was in protest to above illegal action by the FG. Going by your own assertion, what did the FG do with it's share of 52%? was that shared with Amaechi too? so it is the 48% share that goes to the 36 states and 776 LGs that should have been used as our savings? Keep only to subjects you know about. |
