What course did you study at unilag? What course did you apply for at UoM? doubled123: My People, Please help me. I have applied to The UofM and I hve not heard from them for 3weeks+ now. How long doe it take before they reply if I got the admission or not.
Also, I graduated from the University of Lagos with a 2'1. But I am confused as to whether Canadian schools use the CGPA or GPA of the last 2 semesters or sessions I had GPAs of individual semesters since my 300L higher than 4.0 but my CGPA after final exams is 3.68 Please GURUS help shed more light to this... Thanks |

DrDre1: Yes ma'am. Wish I could be of help beyond this. If he was in Qatar with that, it would have been a sealed deal. That's why I asked him to just try if they can consider him there. Something I've noticed over time is that wages are quite lower in U.A.E compared to Qatar. Some of the companies from U.A.E come here with that kind of plan but I don't miss the chance to tell them to their face that we play by different rules here in Qatar.
By the way, for anyone in these parts or planning to come down, you can start taking intensive trainings in Project Management. If you can have 25%-30% of how to use Primavera P6 software, you will be smiling to the bank soon What are the chance of someone who knows how to use the mentioned software but is within Nigeria, can a job placement fall through from here? Or must be present in Qatar? |

I think generally it's 10k tops for any travel, regardless of the country. Or be ready to be the prey of our toothless dogs...EFCC Souljaboi1: Good day Monchouchou,
Please what's the maximum cash allowed for travels to the UAE. The present restriction on deposit of foriegn exchange is my reason for asking.
Thanks |

J4J, I'm guessing no need for referees as well, wrong or right? justi4jesu: Passport Photo is very important. No need for skype ID, if they need it, they can contact you via your Email on the CV. |

That's just it, there is always a way!!! AriseOCompatrot: University of Victoria, British Columbia, Masters in Business Administration.
Funny thing is I applied to Centenniel College for PGD in International Business Management and they turned me down because of my CGPA. I applied to Carleton for PGD in Sustainable Development, they turned me down too. I applied to University of Victoria for MBA, they gave me admission plus even $6,000 scholarship. When I read the letter, a teardrop or two rolled down my cheeks. It is the doing of Jehovah and it is marvelous in my sight! |

Support optimism, don't be like it can't. Makes you sound like you're the admission officer. I believe there are schools that indicate last 2 years of full time studies has their criteria; which is coincidentally the period you take the major courses relating to your discipline, as well as the courses that prepare your for grad school. What if his last 2 years of studies were superb, and his performance outstanding in requisite courses for the grad school. What if his Letter of Intent hooks the admission officer strongly, what if he is the only applicant with an area of specialisation someone at the department has been wanting...The conditions for admission once met, can give positive result. hayqinsbFX: I don't know why we have allowed our optimism to cloud the realistic.
Then we don't need advising anyone here on any situation. Because there can always be a first time something happens.
A 2.91 can't get admission into a canadian university for masters!... I'll like to be proven wrong though...I'm opeen to that. |

OK, thanks for the insight Just that these profs won't reply my mails, you gat any 2cents on how to get them to? thesoj: I dont see a reason to attach anything to the email. Your email should be concise and straight to the point; an attachment only makes sense if it is extremely compelling e.g. you published a journal paper in an area the professor might be interested in.
If you include an attachment, it might not be opened for security reasons (given that the recipient doesn't know you, it could be construed as a virus or malware). |
