Not anymore. Ild walk away on either uber or taxify. Taxify refunds now. A rider was telling me she'll shave 500 off my fare coz the route had traffic whereas she was the one that insisted on it. I told her to go with the full fare and reported the trip. They paid it so the days of seizing one shoe are gone
Yes I believe they sent an on app message to that effect but I never believe them

coolit's not a big deal unless u are looking for excuses not to return the phone. u wont even spend upto 100naira, simply send a text to all the riders u had business with, on that day u suspect the phone must have been forgotten in your car: Good day (Taxify/Uber)rider, i found some items in my car yesterday, which U probably forgot. You must be able to accurately specify what the items in question are, to prove ownership. Kindly ignore this msg if you haven't lost a belonging.

Many wouldn't have thought of this. Sleek ingenuity

Y'all should be careful with rider's properties no matter how small or irrelevant you think it is.
Earlier this year, one of my drivers was traced and arrested because of a bottle of groundnut. Groundnut wey my guy don down with his wife.

Just one bottle, this woman no gree o. She requested for that particular one She forgot in his car. After so much begging, she let him go but not without the IPO milking us.

This is serious, really? Groundnut? And naija police handle the case? WaWu

Take PTE-A then. Claiming 20 points from English sure goes a long way- especially in this era of 'higher points required for ITA'.

Best bet is 189 visa- not necessarily the fastest though.

Jayooh, Alphadoor,
Congratulations on your grants! Sweet news! (Never too late to congratulate smiley )

Thank you so much jayooh, this is clear enough. I worked in two places. It may be difficult for me to get the tax certificate or pension from the first company where I spent 2 years.

I see, but were they deducting the pension and PAYE from your salaries? Do you have payslips that shows these? If your pension contributions were remitted I suppose you can generate a statement from your PFA directly.

You can try to assess with the pension statement if gotten and make explanation for tax certificate omission, it could fly-(at least you'd be presenting ref letter; payslips, bank statement, pension).I think an applicant once notified the authorities that the State where he worked didn't issue tax certificates at the time and they cleared him. You must just try.

***NB follow Bellong's advice of visiting IRS to see if you can get the certificates. That way you're rest assured

Please help me understand.

Does it mean that as an Engineer, you can either go through Engineers Australia or through VETASSES for skill assessment?

Then you proceed to apply for state nomination?

I wish to apply for subclass 190.
Is this the correct sequence pls.

Also, please is there any general website to apply for SkillSelect or one has to go one by one through the state websites to apply?

Cc: bellong

If your are assessing as an engineering draftperson or technician, then you have the option of vet assess. But if it's professional engineer or engineering Technologist then Engineers Australia is the way to go.

For 190 nominations certain states require you to visit their website and apply individually while some can nominate your EOI from the central skillselect system. You need to research to this effect.

Cheers.

Thanks bro.

I should possess 8 years in few months time. However, I can only get tax certificate for 3 years and pension statement for 3 years too out of the whole of 7 years for now. I shouldn't have any issue with others; ref letter, payslips, bank statement. Should I still go ahead with the 3 years tax cert and 3 years pension statement for relevant skilled employment assessment. I hope I would not be requested to compulsorily provide for the remaining 4 or 5 years?

Did u work in the same organisation for the whole 7 years. If yes, Early and recent payslip and bank statement can corroborate whatever reasons you have for not being able to get other years for tax and pension. But if it's different organisations at different times, then u would need tax cerficate for each employment period in the different work places.

Thanks for the response. I actually have 7 years working experience as a Civil Engineer. I just wanted to be sure if it won't be regrettable to go ahead with the standard CDR and not the relevant skilled work experience.

If your wish to claim skilled employment points and have the relevant supporting docs (reference letter, payslips, bank statement, tax certificate, pension statement) to assess the whole 7 years, please carry on with both CDR and skilled employment assessment, this will enable you claim 10points now or 15pts after 8 years if your full 7 years are assessed positively.

The norm where in people save some bucks by not assessing employment with EA and leaving it to the VISA officer seems to be outdated, as we have CO's asking visa applicants to go assess the employment with the assessing authority first. Better to be on the safe side to avoid avoidable CO contacts

Hello Everyone, Please, which am i to apply for? Standard CDR Assessment or Relevant Skilled assessment. What is the difference between the two please? IT is Engineers Australia. @bellong @jayooh

The normal pathway is the standard CDR if your degree isn't from a university under the Washington or Dublin accord option. If you have skilled work experience to claim, it's advisable you also assess the relevant skilled employment alongside your qualification (standard CDR), if no experience to be claimed just select Standard CDR only, u can also fast track for swifter processing. Cheers

If you are called by Taxify for the special campaign that will be happening today by 9am we can hook up. I'm presently there.
Happy new month and happy independence guys.
A serious driver should not joke with the remaining Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays that are remaining in this year..... 70k can be made in those 3days if you can work smartly.
hope they are paying you for the calling? Inform of bonus or whatever?
