If she has a good character and all the attributes a single guy desires who says he can't marry her. Your story is not carrying the full info sha, like what transpired before the slap, why is your mum staying with you guys?. Nonetheless, you said you love your wife very much then, I hope she loves you too that much. If your wife is not willing to go into adoption now, you have to patiently persuade her and give her time to come around, you have talked to her and your mum have talked to her too, why not try using her parents. Also, she was very wrong to have hit your mother irrespective of what happened prior but it is not an unforgivable offense, talk to her, see if she is remorseful and ready to apologize to your mother, forgive her too and amend your marriage, don't forget to pray in all you do...
