am sure you know so many people whom are visibly righteous in all their en devours yet they are poor, sick , etc some die...(my people die for lack of knowledge,that knowledge is that God isnt moved by our needs but by our faith, see we are small gods and can do what the Almighty did ie in creating with his words etc if we have faith) some Christians expect God to bless or hear them by the works of the hands(their own effort towards holiness), our holiness if filth before God,(so we please him by faith and also God operates by basically 2 laws LAW OF LOVE AND LAW OF FAITH....and law as we know is no respecter of persons... thats why who so ever shall say to this mountain......... and shall not doubt....(notice the whosoever?).

Check out the explanation a gave about Paul. That one is a sinner doesn't mean he is not seeking God. Look Moses, do you think the time God met him was the first time he was leading his sheep to that part of the forest? no. We don't find God as saints, we seek him as sinners, find him as sinner but walk with him as saints.

When I made up my mind, I did it like a student who desired to graduate one day. My face is set as a knife edge, it is either I graduate a prof. nothing. jbird1: I tried to get a better understanding of God and I realized that the way he is described in the bible is incoherent. Incidentally, I've never been much of a spiritual person so after I distanced myself from church and the bible it wasn't long before I started to wonder what I needed God for. With the current set up of the world its quite a step to just do away with God. I tried not to, but when I realized that God was not needed to be a good person, I stopped assuming that there is any God known to me. It just hit me one day that an objective morality would exist irrespective of God, since if it's existence depended on God, it would be subjective (defined by God) and then it would not be much different from the one I define. The only difference would be that a much more powerful being defined it.

So if there is a God, I would love to hear from him/her/it/them but until then I would say I'm something of a materialist. That might even be an overstatement.

Can you hear someone your not close to? Most of us are in the middle, we don't hear from devil and we don't hear from God. A native doctor who doesn't hear from satan is fake so is a christian who doesn't hear from God. But it becomes adsorb for a native doctor to hear from God and vise a vie.

pesty100: I was raised(still raised) in a christian home, my dad was once a pastor in deeper life but he backslided ever since then he has refused going to church, but that didn't stop my mum from going to and taking me church, as a young child I was really curious, I loved to ask question evn if I couldn't ask my elders I asked myself, my skepticism started when I read the creation story(Genesis) and I asked my self " how did cain find his wife " the I started to ask myself about hell-fire people do say when we die we become more enlightened and aware of the truth. And also we re able to control ourselves and not sin anymore... I now asked myself why would God punish us when we were more enlightened for what we did when we were less enlightened... When people try to preach to me and I ask them this question they will tell me not to question what is written in the bible or God... Though I was still going to church with my mum, and we went to diFferent churchs there was one thing I noted... In the church I was attending there is a tithe call "MY PRAYER IS ANSWERED TITHE" I was forced to ask myself what the f*ck is this... Then to seal it all when I entered the university I started to meet people who actually thinked and thinks like I do... And also when I went to the philosophy section of our library and read about Descartes ... I now asked my self what if I had been lied to since the day I was born... Anyways am still a rational skeptic and my life has been better ever since.

Your not alone except that mine mum did not give up on me until I met God for real who have answered most of my questions and still answering more. The problem of Christianity is there are two many claimers. Before I was able to believe a man can really conquer sin and live right, God had to show me the origin of sin and how we can to be part of it.
