1. Since 2011, a lot has changed.
2. Nigerians are now aware of the incompetence of Jonathan.
3. Unlike 2011, APC have a wider and stronger political structures than CPC.
4. More voters, politicians, international communities now embrace the candidacy of Buhari.
5. The 2015 Campaign of Buhari is better funded and has been issue based, unlike Jonathan who spent more attacking the person of Buhari.

Therefore this 2015, it is Mathematically impossible for Buhari to lose.

24hrs to go. Vote APC. Sai Buhari.

You may be right. But is not all about all mathematics. Other subjects are involve too. So he will lose for the last time tomorrow.

After, he will register other subjects.

Politics / Re: Tinubu-ojo Shuts Lagos Markets For Ambode by jdilight(m): 9:55am On Mar 27, 2015
neocortex:

LAGOS—Under the leadership of the President General, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, market traders kept Lagos markets shut yesterday to hold a rally at the Onikan statdium in support of Akinwunmi Ambode, the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the state, ahead of the elections.

Mrs. Tinubu-Ojo declared that all members of the Lagos state chapter of the Association of Commodity Market Women and Men of Nigeria, have pledged their support for Ambode in a bid to sustain the growth and development that has been witnessed all over the state under the APC.

“We market women and men make up a majority among voters. I can assure you that we have our voters cards, and with this support and our continued prayers, victory is definitely assured for Ambode and all APC candidates in this general elections”, Tinubu-Ojo said.

Ambode, who was joined at the event by his wife, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, thanked the leadership and members of the market women and men for their overwhelming support, and promised to keep Lagos working for them and all its citizens. Also present at the event was the Babaloja of Lagos, Alhaji Wasiu Atanda Balogun, and Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, Senator representing Lagos Central.

Meanwhile, where's this sudden love for a Fulani cattle rearer coming from? I thought you and your friends despise them?

Firstly, your acclaimed should have retired but still using his brain to guide 'the coming generation of Nigerian scientist, is the reason we are not moving forward. When will the old retire for the young to take over. If really he is as good as you have painted him, he should have produced at least 100 persons to replace him. This is a sign he is a failure as a prof.

Secondly, I despise no Nigerian. My love for Nigeria run beyond ethnic/cultural divide. If you think people hate you, check your hate parameter because your reflecting what you are.

54 years of Nigeria's independent, after the civil war the Igbo's have never gotten a chance to rule
Voting GmB into power gives us a chance to rule this nation just like other zones have.
Some might say must a Hausa person rule the ans I will give to them and s they are Nigerians and the majority they leave opportunities for others just like obasanjo did rule ng Nigeria both as amillitary head of state and as a president.
Now, Nigeria under Gej seems to be the worse I've ever seen. I say this be cos of the high rate of corruption with the president declaring that stealing is not corruption I wonder if the culprit of the 20billion dollars will ever be caught.
insecurity especially the consistent bombings and kidnap of the chibok girls taken with intense levity.
Again the president strategy to winning election seems to be the poorest and unfair strategy I ave ever seen. Bribing is way through, going to churches, to traditional shrines ogboni subjecting himself to shame and this nation to shame.

The bottomline now is that GMB track records speak for him.

I watched a documentary on last year when Dora akunyuli died. She said before the post of nafdac was headed by just anybody, prior to her been the director general it was Mohammadu buhari that insisted on a pharmacist being the head. Thereafter, Dora was then made the director general of nafdac.
Some might say GMB Is too tough but I say then it was a military and he had to fight corruption in a military way. Now if elected as a president he will do all he can to fight corruption under the law.

I posted a topic on Monday that if GMB wins Igbos stand a better chance yes that's true cos if GMB wins its gonna give us the opportunity to rule Nigeria

So therefore I ave decided to vote GMB as the next president of Nigeria.

Dreams are things that keep a lot from breaking from their past.

The Igbos, I most tell you the truth are not yet ready to head Nigeria. Because, they don't have the financial muscle to bankroll a presidential election. Buhari has made a little more impact now because he has a lot of financial backers who believe he can be used considering his age with respect to what he will experience as a leader of this nation. Here come in the Igbo presidency, which part of the nation trust an Igbo man with the responsibility of leading him. Non because he can not be used. check all the top firms and see what I mean.

Lastly, this election is not about a tribe. Its about the collective interest of Nigerians to make everyone equal. From the waec cut of point of the student in the north to that in the west. From the state allocated to the North to that in the east and more so.

To change the notion, a part of this nation was born to rule while the other was born to serve.

Politics / Hussaini And Other Honest Fulani To Vote President Goodluck by jdilight(m): 9:03am On Mar 27, 2015
Alhaji Muhammad Hussaini is the Nasarawa state secretary of Meyyiti-Allah (Fulani Pastoralists known as Cattle rearers). A devout muslim, he says he has a conscience and gave us 6 reasons that he and his entire family will vote for President Jonathan despite the fact that he is running against a Fulani man like himself.

1.Cattle Transport: He said the ongoing overhauling of the nation’s railway lines has reduced the price of moving each head of cattle from N6000 by regular route but which costs them not more than N1000 through Jonathan’s administration trains. Is this not an achievement?

2. 2. Pasture for Cattle Rearing: Cattle breeders face nightmares and some of them have travelled all the way to Ghana because of acute water shortage. Jonathan’s Gurara dam project in Kaduna has ended our fears as the grass is green and the water shortage is greatly reduced.
3. 3. Al-Majiri schools: This Jonathan model education system will help in the near future to half the rising spate of street urchins in the north as the schools would go a long way to tackle the ugly trend.

4. 4. Gave Nasarawa a Federal University: Jonathan’s government gave Nasarawa state a Federal University which was never there before among 14 New Universities he built. By 2016 we are expecting more graduates and this also accord chances to the down trodden in the society who would not afford to travel far.

5. 5. Fulani in Government: Jonathan carried along a lot of key Fulani people despite the distrust between the ordinary Southerner and the Fulanis. Top positions in the PDP Chairman Adamu Muazu, Senator Walid Jibrin, the secretary Board of Trustee, Professor Rufai Ahmed, Dr.Musa Babayo. He is also in good terms with Isa Yuguda, Sule Lamido, Umar Machido.

6. 6. Awe-Obi-Lafia Road: Jonathan rehabilitated the Awe-Obi-Lafia highway, it was difficult to transport our cattle to the market. Before we lose some heads of cattle as some die in the process of moving them to Lafia due to the bad road or we are force to slaughter others before they die. This has changed already.

emindu:
By Emeka Nwachukwu
March 24, 2015 will remain indelible in my mind for many reasons. First, it was a day that President Goodluck Jonathan commissioned the Phase 1, Simple Cycle Gas Alaoji Power Plant in Aba, Abia State. A bold step taken by President Jonathan to ensure that Aba and environs enjoy steady power supply.
Second, President Jonathan the same day inspected the Geometrics Power Station; the brainchild of Prof. Barth Nnaji. The President pledged to correct all the human error stopping the power plant from taking off.
Third, the President's visit to Geometrics came with a big drama. Before his arrival at the venue, the factional governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Allex Otti who was accompanied by his wife sat together in one of the front roll seats which was conspicuous enough. Immediately the master of ceremony announced the arrival of Mr. President everybody at the arena stood up to welcome him and his entourage. Mr. & Mrs. Otti got the shock of their lives.
Call it providence you may be right. Governor T.A.Orji the chief host of the number citizen of the country accompanied by the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, sandwiched Mr. President right from the entrance gate where he alighted from his car, walked him down straight to inspect the facilities at the Geometrics. When they got to the point where Otti strategically positioned himself, Mr. President simply made a straight face. He refused to look at Otti's direction or respond to gesticulations. At this point, both Otti and his wife were transfixed for some minutes before they could recover from the shock. When it dawn on him that Okezuo Abia was the chosen one, Otti who could not believe what hit him through his spinal cord, apparently to save face stood up from his seat to join Mr. President. But it was too late. As a desperate man he is, the shortish Otti who stood up to catch up with Mr. President five minutes after the latter snubbed him moved like a fowl beaten by the rain. He was barely dragging himself to move around the massive compound.
Sensing danger, Prof. Nnaji tactically refused to acknowledge Otti when he presented his address. Our 'Cowboy' President also behaved like the first speaker when he was called upon to deliver his address. He refused to acknowledge Otti throughout his address. Otti's wife intermittently gave her husband handkerchief to clean the stream of hot sweat pumping out from his forehead. The shock waves were too much for Otti who goes about telling people that the President asked to contest for governorship of Abia. Cheap lies!
At the Aba Sports Club where he addressed the business community, President Jonathan publicly announced that Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu will succeed Ochendo Global. He urged Abians to vote Ikpeazu for governor, Governor Orji for Senate and vote for other PDP candidates from state to federal levels.
naijanetworknews

What do you take the President for. He should greet everyone? Who is Otti in the first place? A governorship aspirant of a different political party to that of the President.

Most celebrated politicians are local champions till they make it to the sit of power there are nothing but aspirants. Otti fall in this category including Ikpazu and the rest.

Enough said, stop giving importance to no bodies.

Politics / Re: Fashola Is Corrupt, He Cannot Accuse Yoruba Leaders Of Betrayal – Afenifere by jdilight(m): 4:38pm On Mar 25, 2015
macpetrus:
The attention of Afenifere has been drawn to the rude remarks by Lagos state governor,Mr Babatunde Fashola that Yoruba leaders support for President Jonathan is a “betrayal ” borne out of “blood money”.

There comes a time when a child asks that we tell him his pertinent history and that is exactly what the spineless governor enslaved by the “Lion of Bourdillon” for eight years whose manhood is now rising against those more honorable than him has just asked for.

An unknown entity in the affairs of Yoruba nation before Tinubu hand -picked him to continue the raiding of Lagos,Fashola betrayed his crass ignorance by turning history upside down when he said Hubert Ogunde’s “Yoruba Ronu” was against the principled commitment to the Youruba quest for autonomy which the support for Jonathan bold move to restructure Nigeria symbolizes.

The truth is that Ogunde waxed that song against the precursors of Fashola’s godfather and his co-travelers mission to sell Yoruba to internal colonialists who want to perpetually enslave the Yoruba and other nationalities under their feudal hegemony.

These career looters (the Owoboriomos) have been blinded by their obscene loot to place their empire building to be of more importance under a fluke “change ” than the well being of millions of our people agonizing in a cage the unitary arrangement in Nigeria has put them.

Before Fashola can run his mouth against those who have been at the vanguard of the battle for federalism in Nigeria before he was born,we ask him to publicly declare his assets today against the Mercedez Benz 200 flat boot and Sagem handset which he brought to Alausa when Tinubu appointed him as Chief of staff in 2002.

It is widely known that the song his godfather has been singing since 2010 when he floated the “True Face of Lagos” against him is “mo ti ri ole to mo ole ja ju ole lo”(I’ve seen the one who steals better than the one they call the thief).
The joke in Alausa is that where Tinubu used wheel barrow,Fashola is using pay loader!

While His Excellency takes his time to give us his declaration we need to restate some of the public knowledge of what he had done with about N4trillion that has accrued to Lagos under his stewardship.

While there is a lot of media wash deodorizing the stench in Lagos as “performance”,the truth is that Lagos under Fashola is a failed project .Beyond the planting of flowers and Christmas lights at scandalous prices, the tell tales of Lagos are pot hole roads, pupils sitting on bare floor in schools, absence of potable water for most of residents, perennial strikes by doctors, poor conditions of service for workers and war against the poor.

The hallmark of Fashola style of governance has been overinflated contracts which explains why costs of projects are not officially disclosed,There is a law by Fashola gagging all officials of the state except from the information commissioner from speaking to the press. The FOI request on how much Fashola pays Alpha Beta Consulting from Lagos revenue monthly has yet to be answered.

The IKoyi-Lekki bridge built by Fashola has been rated as the most expensive in the entire world added to the many bare-faced looting documented by the “True Face of Lagos” which he used some judicial shenanigans to shield himself from accountability.

Fashola has yet to respond to the scandal of the metal scraps he went to pick from Canada which he is passing off to Lagosians as light rail in multi-billion Naira scam.
It is understandable that people like Fashola who have prospered in inequity at the expense of our people will defend the status -quo that has taken away the status of our people and call it “change”.

Yoruba people will show them on March 28 and April 11 that the education Awolowo gave them which the Tinubu-Fashola generations are taking away is sufficient to shield them from the deception of the neo-Afonjas and their Assembly.
We stand by our decision that Yoruba will realize their aspirations for accelerated development in a restructured Nigeria and should vote Goodluck Jonathan who is committed to the implementation of the 2014 National Conference report .

We however have nothing against those who want to follow those who lied that the conference did not address the Yoruba agenda and are supporting those whose quest for domination would have been the reason for the blocking of our quest for freedom if we had not used all the skills at our disposal to turn the tide against them at the Confab.

We urge our people to peacefully cause an electoral revolution in the coming elections so as to assert our civilization and put the entire Nigeria on a new path of development via Federalism.

There should be no room for violence of any sort which would naturally be the desire for those who cannot convince the Yoruba against their best interest and are threading “slippery ground.”

Our ancestors will not let them pass and they will not succeed in spilling the blood of anybody.

Politics / Re: Buhari Fails In Owerri •as APC Women Regret Protest Against Jonathan by jdilight(m): 1:08pm On Mar 25, 2015
FKO81:
APC Supporters In Imo State Are Disappointed That Their Presidential Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, Could Hardly Stand To Address Them For Two Minutes
Damian Duruiheoma, Owerri
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari’s last minute campaign in Imo State proved disastrous for his ambition as the majority of the party faithful were disappointed with his inability to speak to them for up to two minutes. Buhari could hardly convince party supporters who had thronged the Dan Anyiam Stadium to hear him tell them the level he would take the country to if he emerged the president of the country. Rather, he spoke for less than two minutes, asking the people to reflect on the leadership of the country under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before leaving the stage, a development that attracted the ire of the party members.
“We didn’t know that they only brought us here to protest against the president of our country. They invited us as women leaders from our communities, that is why you could see hundreds of us. We thought we were coming for CGC seminar as they told us, we didn’t know we were called out to come and fight their own fight”
As party members showed their disapproval of Buhari, some of the several Women APC supporters, who were recruited to protest against President Goodluck Jonathan in Owerri, have told The UNION, that they were deceived by Governor Rochas Okorocha, to stage the protest. They said they were ferried to Owerri in the guise of attending a seminar only to be used to cause a blockade against the president. However, party members were of the view that it was Buhari’s weakness of the body that prevented him from speaking as other campaigners normally do, attributing it to health failure. Some of the APC followers at the stadium, who were led by a man who simply identified himself as Andrew Ibemere, said, “I’ve said it time without number that this man is not fit to lead us as president and has no business in government anymore.
For us, we will vote for President Goodluck Jonathan during the presidential election and Governor Rochas Okorocha for governorship election.” But reacting to the development, Director-General of Rochas Okorocha Campaign Organisation and state commissioner for Housing and Urban Development and Beautification, Iheukwumere Alaribe, attributed the development to a series of meetings which the APC presidential aspirant had in Anambra and Enugu States. “He has two other places to attend-Anambra and Enugu- and all these programmes had to be re-adjusted because of the time he had to spend in Abuja this morning in meetings. He is very healthy. “It’s not as if he could not speak to the people of the South East for longer minutes, but when he goes to Anambra, he is also going to speak to the people of the South East. “What he came to do here is just jamboree because he has had an opportunity of speaking with Igbo leaders from all works of life where he had heart-to-heart talk. “Let me tell you, it’s like chasing a woman, you don’t have to do that in the public. The most important things have been done in doors”, he said.
Meanwhile, information available to The UNION from Onitsha, Anambra State indicated that Buhari could not attend the South East Town Hall meeting due mainly to his failing health condition. He was said to have abruptly cancelled his scheduled appearance at the meeting Monday evening. A reliable party source told The UNION that the APC presidential candidate felt exhausted after attending the rally in Owerri hours earlier. According to the source, the senator representing Anambra central district, Sen. Chris Ngige, had to plead with the disappointed audience that the presidential candidate could not make it due to “conditions beyond Buhari’s control”. He said “I can tell you that the APC campaign activity in Owerri may have aggravated his condition”. Meanwhile, hundreds of women of Imo State loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday regretted that they were deceived and brought to Owerri, the state capital to protest against the coming of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state.
The women had stormed the chambers of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Owerri, to protest the use of the place by a faction of traditional rulers led by Eze Cletus Ilomuanya to receive the president, saying the place was a Women Development Centre where they were supposed to hold a seminar. They blocked the roads to the centre, a development that led to the police and the soldiers begging them to give way. But they insisted and stayed put. They were however chased out of the place by some policemen through the use of tear-gas canisters. But speaking with journalists, one of the women from Okigwe LGA, who was clutching her baby by her side, Mrs. Ngozi Anorue, said they were invited by the governor for a seminar at the centre. “But, we didn’t know that they only brought us here to protest against the president of our country. They invited us as women leaders from our communities, that is why you could see hundreds of us. We thought we were coming for CGC seminar as they told us, we didn’t know we were called out to come and fight their own fight. “Look my brother stop blaming me. Do I have any problem with President Jonathan? I don’t. So, why should I come and begin to protest against the president. In fact, most of us believe that we will vote for President Jonathan and later vote for Rochas. So we were deceived to protest against President Jonathan, ” she said.

Gen. Buhari’s Certificate Matter: my viewpoint
Sometimes I just sit and wonder how our politicians choose to play politics in this country of ours. In all sincerity, the fears I have about the All Progressives Congress APC as a party, and Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as its presidential candidate are beginning to be confirmed by them. Let it be known that I do not belong to a political party, or engaged to write this up; but it is what my heart has been resonating all this while. I will speak as objectively as I can without hate or prejudice and I want you to see it thus.
All this brouhaha about certificate or no certificate should have been laid to rest a long time ago, but it does appear we have a penchant for deception and very glaring lies which will not make us to think of Nigeria first, but our bellies. Why is it that we like to complicate very simple things of life, obtaining or tendering a copy of certificate is not rocket science, so I wonder why we choose to make it a galactic endeavour.

1. A man submits an application form to INEC, and does not attach supporting docs IRO his academic certifications and deposes to an affidavit that the Secretary of the Army Board is in possession of them. – Who among you does your current/former employer keep their certificates?

2. Sometime in the heat of the controversy generated, the APC tells Nigerians that the regime of Gen. Babangida looted Gen. Buhari’s documents when he (GMB) was overthrown. He and the APC visited IBB at his Hilltop residence and couldn’t smooth talk him into releasing his documents? By this the ruling party will be put to shame.

3. Furthermore, when the Army said it did not have a copy of Buhari’s WASC, but a recommendation letter from Buhari’s principal, the General says he thought all this while the Army Board had them. Immediately, the APC says certificate of no certificate is not the issue and that the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) was scared he was going to defeat their candidate Dr Goodluck Jonathan at the polls, and even recommended that the PDP should go to the court.

4. The General happened to be in the UK for two weeks, during this period and made a presentation at the Chatmam House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs. One wonders why he didn’t go to Cambridge during this period and collect his 1961 WASC, this would have dealt a heavy hammer blow to the PDP and increased his chances at the polls.

5. I wonder why the APC should say that "anyone who will disqualify a presidential candidate on the eve of an election can only have one and only one purpose for that: to trigger chaos and pandemonium across the country”… "This is why we are hoping that good reason will prevail and nothing will be done, deliberately, to plunge Nigeria into crisis… Why would there be chaos, is GMB bigger than Nigeria, he had all the time in the world to present his certificate(s), but didn’t, now they threaten us? If a man is not qualified he is not qualified QED. Why bend the rules for one man, is he different from other contestants? The PDP has gone to court (as advised by the APC) and now they threaten everyone - funny indeed. I pray that the rule of law is upheld and that justice is done.

I want to ask some very disturbing questions.
1. Did GMB sit for his secondary school final exams.
2. Why has Buhari himself never said “I have WASC”, or tendered a certificate? It appears he knows the implications of that which would only strengthen the case of perjury the PDP has brought up against him.
3. What is it that only Buhari is always presented as the presidential candidate? So in the entire APC only the General is fit for this position. There must be something about him only the political caucus know and would use to their advantage and to the Nigeria’s disadvantage.
4. Why has the APC with all the resources and energy that they have committed to defending this no-certificate issue, not directed a little of it to helping Buhari obtain a copy of his certificate? If they did, by now APC would be smiling to the polls.
My conclusion is this, that having objectively looked at this issue, the APC is helping to confirm my fears which I don’t want to be confirmed (because it will further stain the fabric of our national appearance) that – Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) did not sit for/and or obtain his West African School Certificate (WASC), and this is the ‘banana coat’ (to borrow the language of Chief Zebrudaya) for the APC and GMB which they have dropped on the floor themselves.
Thank you.

God bless you.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and
May He give us free, fair and peaceful elections. Amen.

Religion / Re: Understanding The Concept of Tithing by jdilight(m): 11:01am On Mar 25, 2015
dorox:

My point is that you cannot use the argument that tithing predates the law as a justification for tithing as you did in the last paragraph of you previous post.
Abraham tithed just once, so are you saying that christians should tithe only once like Abraham?
While it is true that some servants of God paid tithe before the Law was established, it was usually a one off payment like that of Abraham. The regular payment of tithe came with the establishment of the Law. So don't you think that it will make more sense that regular tithing would no longer be applicable to christians if the law that made tithing regular is annulled for christians?

First you need to understand the need for tithing. Abraham tithed because God gave him victory, Jacob did the same because God took him to Laban and brought him back with more than he went with. They both gave tithe in appreciation of what God did for them not as obligation.

Now lets assume there was no levi and no law for tithing, will you appreciate God with your substance. If God has done something for you and you don't want to appreciate him no one punishes you for that.

I hear people say the law of tithe is not bidding on christian as if there is a law of tithe in the first place.

Nigerian history knows the likes of late chief Anthony Enahoro, Azikiwe, Tafawa Belewa, King Jaja of Opobo, Chief Obafemi Awolowo etc. And not criminals like Asari and his likes. His history cannot be documented anywhere. He is a criminal and will equally die like a criminal too.
