Family / Re: If This Was Your Husband What Would You Do? by jdilight(m): 10:12am On Mar 14, 2015
rokiatu:
Please note this is not about me but someone very close. I need only serious advice please, if you have nothing better to say keep off.

There's someone very very dear to me that this is happening this to right now. And the lady in question is so confuse as to what step to take. This is how the story goes, her mother was having a family dinner and invite both she and her husband but the husband refused to go. Keep in mind that the husband don't love her mother at all. She have tried everything for him to love her mom to no avail. So this time she decided to take a step just to teach him a little lesson. After the family dinner, she decided to pack some of her clothes and take her two little girls and went over to her mom. She explained everything to her mother, and the mother didn't call her son in law either because of anger, so her elder brother decided to call him and talk to him about the whole situation. But he already decided he's never stepping to his mother in law house, never! And the wife may as well stay there because he ain't going for her, and he's not apologizing to the mother either, he don't like her and he's never putting foot to her house.

To cut long story short, the lady is now in a dilemma. To go back or not? He disrespected the family so now the decision is on her shoulders to make. They want nothing to do with it. She loves him, and they have two little kids together. The marriage is barely four years. They were high school sweethearts in Africa, the lady worked her butt off to bring him over, and now that he's settled and got all his papers he's acting like this. Her world is like crushing down.

Which bring me to the question, if you were the lady in question, what would you do?

For me the lady made a mistake going with her kids and making it seem as a bait to bring the husband to their place. She should go back home, she is married to a man not her mum. There are building a home. She should respect her husband opinion on the issue while using subtle and non too obvious ways to bring the husband and her mum close.

This kind of a man can loose everything for what he believe in. He need a change in his believe system

Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the Nigeria’s leading opposition party APC had revealed that Jonathan offered him a Vice Presidency slot under an Interim Govt arrangement, an offer he claimed to have rejected.

If Tinubu is to be the VP of interim Govt.

and

The a northerner is to head the interim Govt

Sirniyeh:
Those denying that there was no interim govt offer are also lying because even NSA Dasuki and Babangida has been discreetly campaigning that Northern Emirs and leaders accept an interim Govt option headed by a northerner. Even Shagari according to reports favors the idea. The news is
all over Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi and creating division
among their political elites with the Interim Government option getting gradual sympathy.

Where do President Goodluck come into the interim govt.?

For all the reasons I have previously stated above. But even simpler, I presume you are familiar with the Christian term "fishers of men", it is a metaphorical connotation of the act of converting unbelievers to the message of Jesus. The same applies, Cephas does not come back and say, "my Lord, I cast my net and caught a large fish and retrieved a silver coin from its mouth", he would have looked a prize fool, rather, he went out and converted a few Gentiles one coin at a time.

So to catch a fish with a coin, you need a net? Or are you saying he should have gone with a net, catch a lot of fishes and start opening their mouth to check the one with a coin assuming the story was really and not allegory as alleged by you?

Politics / Re: No Gains For Almajiri Schools’ Graduates – Fashola by jdilight(m): 5:31pm On Mar 13, 2015
macpetrus:
Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, says the Almajiri schools being established by the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government in the northern part of the country have no feasible end gains.

Fashola said this at an event on Thursday ─ Support Our Schools Breakfast Meeting with the Governor─ held at the City Hall on the Lagos Island.

The governor explained that the purpose of training someone was for the person to be able to use the knowledge gained and the skills acquired to his benefit and the good of society.

He said that could not be said of the Almajiri schools as they had no competitive advantage for the graduates.

He said, “If you train people to acquire certain skills, you must develop avenue where the skills will be useful and that will be the end gain. For instance, graduates of our technical and vocational colleges will become our major contractors.

“And so, it worries me, what is the end gain of products of the Almajiri schools? Will you put your child there? Will a company looking through its job appraisal consider such graduates from Almajiri schools? What chance will the product of the Almajiri schools have working for multinational companies? Are we giving the children a chance when we segregate them into Almajiri schools? Think about it.”

Fashola said as part of measures to encourage vocational and technical education in the state, his administration had issued over 600 contracts as annual maintenance projects of Lagos schools, adding that graduates of the state’s technical schools were the main beneficiaries.

“We have issued maintenance contract to all our schools. We have issued about 600 contracts of annual maintenance of our schools and they ranged between N2m to N4m per annum. Our graduates in the technical and vocational colleges are the substantial beneficiaries of the contracts. We now want to ensure that every school in Lagos has regular and uninterrupted power supply,” he added.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Olayinka Oladunjoye had expressed government’s gratitude to organisations that embraced the ‘Support our school’ initiative, saying the support had contributed to the success of the Fashola’s administration in the educational sector.

http://www.punchng.com/news/no-gains-for-almajiri-schools-graduates-fashola/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

It seems fashola has been so much affected by APC that he doesn't know that almajiri school is a primary school not a secondary or higher institution.

Bro you make me laugh with your response about the reserve. To your last statement.

When we pray, it signified handing over to God. When i say one put a thousand to flight and two ten thousands, it just the word of God telling us what happened when two or more people with a clean heart towards one another and their fellow neighbours, come together in agreement and pray concerning an issue.

That's why couple are always advice to forgive love and live in peace with each other, never going to bed with ill feeling towards each other.

That's why you see some men of God hyping their wife to the highest level possible, because she is readily available to run to for prayers. Some na their wife be their spiritual adviser and prayer partner.

I know, but remember we are praying to someone (God). If we recognise this our prayer will have more answer with less stress. God will not answer our prayer because we shout, roll on the floor, fight the air etc. He answers if we come as his children and ask for his help.

Correct but in some cases you need the guidance or help of a more spiritually advance Christian.

Pastors and general overseer run to God just as they taught their congregation to do but atime do enlist the partnership of others, like their fellow pastors and general overseer, church elders even the congregation taping into the power behind the word of God, that say one put a thousand to flight but two ten thousands.

Your right but if half the member of your church put a thousand to flight, l wonder how many are on reserve.

Just have faith and be a child of God. You are not chasing any, God is doing that for you

Have you wondered why they never say anything of substance at Wike's rally? Wike was minister of education yet he can't boast of a single classroom that can match what amaechi has done.

They say T. A. Orji of Abia State is the worst governor but most of the public schools he renovated matched these ounce for ounce.

Politics / Leaders Of Tomorrow And Leaders Of Today by jdilight(m): 3:26pm On Mar 12, 2015
Long before now we have been sold the lie, "the youth are the leaders of tomorrow".

More than a thousand youth and counting have died believing this lie. The question is, are the youth never going to be adults or is tomorrow never going to come.

A critical look at the two prominent presidential aspirants age wise and their view of who will lead after them is a food for thought.

The PDP flag bearer (Goodluck) believe in the youth having a hand in steering the nation to greatness. Hence has pledge to hand over to a leader younger.

The APC flag bearer (Buhari) believes the youth should continue clinging to the lies of being leaders of tomorrow as he pledges to come for a second term if he wins.

What is your opinion of the youth being leaders of tomorrow?
