Goliath’s height was six cubits and a span (approximately 2.5–3 m). The only condition which could have caused such tallness is acromegaly which arises possibly because of the tumour of the anterior pituitary gland. Goliath was not nippy at all possibly because of his arthropathy and myopathy which are signs of acromegaly.
Goliath sustained an appurtenant visual defect caused by the pituitary tumour which allowed David to sneak up unnoticed. This is corroborated in (I Samuel 17: 43): “The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you are coming after me with sticks?””, whereas it is more likely that David held only one stick; and in (I Samuel 17:41): “and the man that bare the shield went before him.” This man who went before this leviathan was most likely his searchlight to noticing the enemy’s presence.

The pituitary macroadenoma caused bitemporal hemianopsia as a result of optic chiasma compression in the suprasellar region. Goliath’s brother and some of his sons had similar physical appearance so it was genetic. (2 Samuel 21)

1 Samuel 17:49, “And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead that the stone sunk into his forehead.” According to contemporary ballistic analysis, such a high-velocity head injury could have killed even a healthy person from a distance of 30–40 m. It can be inferred that Goliath had enlarged frontal sinuses with a thinner frontal bone as a consequence of acromegaly, which could have made the stone penetrate deeply without ricocheting like a ‘strong’ shot played against a football net. The pituitary tumour could have rested long on the Circle of Willis thereby enfeebling the vessels, which could have been the source of bleeding. There could have been an acute occlusion of the Foramen of Monro due to bleeding, which could have led to acute decerebration. Intracranial pressure would have been increased beyond compensation (Monro-Kelly’s hypothesis) causing a transtentorial herniation leading to unconsciousness. He died after the decapitation but the stone made him unconscious.

Believers that were not baptised right had to be rebaptised in the Name of Jesus Christ before the Holy Ghost could come on them.

No one was ever baptised in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost because the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost is Jesus Christ.

If you haven't repented AND been baptised in Jesus Christ name, your sins have not been remitted, and thus the rapture would be out of the question for you.

Udoabasi: I have tried on my own to find out whether there is any bible portion that supports the expression, "God helps those who help themselves". What I've discovered however is that the bible seems to teach the opposite. Jesus Christ did not come for those who can help themselve but for those who are helpless. That is why the bible teaches total dependence on, and acceptance of the will of God. Suprisingly, many christians, even the clergy, use this expression as if it was spoken by Christ himself. Others use it to justify themselves when they go contrary to the tenets of christianity. It is for this reason that I want to know, perhaps, there may be a verse in the bible that such expression could be found. Anyone who knows of such should please post it. Thanks.

That quote is not in the bible. I once saw it in a library when I was reading quotes of great men. I have forgotten who made that quote but I think it was made in 1904.

No matter how quality a job is, it must pass testing. But in some job there is no such place for testing. That is while 5% to 10% of the construction fund is with held for maintenance from the day of hand over to a certain period (guarantee period).

Nigeria have maintenance problem. What is the new aviation minister doing. Must we live in pass glory all our lives. In our office we service our air condition and generators every 3 to 6 month, irrespective of the working condition of these things.

This is very funny. I heard the building was a two storey building which was being converted to a 6 storey building. If this is true, it was a structural failure.

God is the father of all men, because all men came from God. Everyone came from God Genesis 1:26, without God there would have been no man as without my father there would have been no me.

The message of all the prophet has been the son and father relationship of God with man. Study the parable of the prodigal son well.

Jesus was human. He was a man amongst us just as part of the Bible described him. He was one of the mightiest messenger or prophet of God.

God has no mighty messenger. A child of God is a child of God.

Scyllapatron: the irony is that religion is pretty much man made, so mankind has really brought this onto themselves. religion is designed to focus the people's attention and energy on an uncompromising, invisible god who allegedly created human race just for his self glory and unnecessary crave for worship, then supposedly foisted a set of oppressive and in some cases arbitrary rules on them, which if broken would be met with unimaginable eternal punishment. this keeps the followers in a continuing state of fear and compliance.

I beg to disagree, God don't crave for worship. He just want man to experience a higher level of being.

I believe no matter how the seed of righteousness grows to become a tree and bear fruit in us, at the end of the day, we are still humans, we don't grow into angels which means we can still sin deliberately or indeliberately

Seek for revelation on what Jesus said after the parable of the sower also. "Take heed on what you hear, for he that has will be given more, but he that has not even that which he has will be taken away"
