InaNla:No idea... It's sitting above 350 and looking to confirm that as a support (which was it's previous resistance)... What I like to see as a confirmation that buyers are ready to defend the 350 region is a good bounce or steady rise off it... It may mean I buy a lil higher but I prefer to trade on a confirmation rather than what I think will happen |
CryptoMatic:Majors have done 10x in months with stages of consolidation before further uprise... Micros are doing 10x in days/weeks with no structure. Don't get me wrong, I'm heavy in alyts even micros and have benefited well off them (even more than betece) but I know this rally wouldn't continue indefinitely. For now, betece keeps pushing and the bullrun keeps on My point is there was a time to buy and forget stuff... Earlier on in this thread around Jan, I advocated most new folks should just buy and ket it be as the alyt rally was still early... But then, at this stage of the market where everything seems to be going parabolic, if you decide to buy a coin that has done 10x in 2 werks, you might want to sell it relatively soon and not treat it like someone who bought eith at 150 or betece at 6k |
Interesting that bnb seems to have broken out against eith moreso at a time when eith is showing strength... Against usd, I'm still looking for a convincing bounce off the 350 region
|
lordnaruto:Hehe... Of course it will... 1.2-1.4 na its regular waka... Bnb might also move too If I'm holding alts, I hold at least 2-3. So I don't get stuck waiting for one |
Ibeme:Very nicely said. Find it interesting that folks want to buy a coin after it has done 10x and keep it for the 'longterm'. Another thing is that there's no mention of this on a day bitc0in pullsback and most coins are in red. Every rally has its alyts. After the rally, traders forget them and they largely remain in a pitiable state for a very long time. It's then that good coins differentiate themselves by holding structure. A new rally will come with new coins too. Reason I don't bother myself with the story behind an alyt |
Ibeme:My worry is that the last time bitc0in had a proper correction was almost a year ago and most folks trading now are new and are used to stuff going up... They forget that most of the stuff going parabolic now did were causing folks pain for years unend... The way betece is going, there's a possibility it may not have a proper correction until it maxes out... Whilch wouldn't be nice. Making profits now is relatively easy but even at that, FOMO into a pump in any market without clear targets no be am... |
Ojemedad:That's why I rarely follow the hype on new coins or micros.. If a coin becomes too popular... I look at the chart... If it's something that interests me, I set alerts at possible entry poins and keep it under my watchlist... After sometime when the hype has died down, I revisit it and see if it's held structure... If it hasn't, I delete it.... E.g ksm... There was a time it was popular when it first rallied to around 250... The structure wasn't bad, but being a new coin, I wasn't eager and couldn't identify proper support. When betece dumped and ut held 200 at a time most coins collapsed, I took it seriously and added heavily around 220. Of course, by then the hype had died down... Rode it to the highs and sold... It's interesting how it started getting popular again when it hit 500 and folks rushed in forgetting that considering its market cap, it needed about 2-3 billion dollars increase in valuation to move from 250 to 500 and would need even more for a significant move up |
StrafordSTONES:One thing I'd say, is that when everyone starts talking about how a coin will moon, in most cases, it wouldn't move immediately or it's done moving. If there was a trade I wanted to take and I got on Twitter and see a few popular accounts already talking about the coin, I cut it and don't take the trade. Most times, I get better enteries eventually. Secondly, on the issue of 'potential' if a coin, don't be carried away. That's thesame story behind every new coin. It doesn't change the fact that most would likely be useless in the long run. I can't remember when last I read anything about a coyn... I rely mainly on market structure. If it's a good coin, it'd be visible on the charts. One thing almost clear is that betece will outperform over 99% of coyns eventually. If you know that, why don't you have betece Fact is that it's too risky as a newbie for a large vhunk of your portfolio not to be in betece or eith... With time you'd see why But finally, u get mind ooo... See the charts of the coins you bought... I wouldn't come close to them such charts except for a quick scalp and entry must be at tested support... Buying such haphazardly is an easy way to give your money to the market. All these coins will eventually ho back to where they started pumping from and even lower. It happens in every rally. This will not be different
|
Codebite:Sad one... You're making some worrying mistakes... There was a time I used to point out mistakes made on posts like this. But stopped as it seemed intrusive.. Let me ask, have you looked back and identified errors you made on those trades? |
StrafordSTONES:Quite question... Just curious... What was your reason behind selecting those two coins? Also, what was your entry? |
Obinnau:Quick question... Why did you buy chz... I'm just inquisitive |
Another reason why in crypt0, when you sell for good profits, you look away... In the past, when I sell a coyn and it continues pumping, I go dey vex... Now when I take profits, I waka and feel nothing If I have to re-enter, I have to justify the trade as a new one. Also, when I plan to sell at significant resistance, I place my orders... I don't wait when it gets there and start double guessing if it'd cross it.. of course, I sometimes sell part if I think it'd continue rallying.. It's much easier to taje profits on the way up

Eith has been forming a nice ascending triangle with a neckline at 1920-1940 . It seems to have broken out and a close today above this level should confirm that.... A rally from this breakout should take it to about 2.5k initially... On the flip side, theta seems to have broken market structure... It's hard to justify holding theta instead of eith when it looks that way against eith (opportunity cost)... It's holding on dearly to the current support at 0.06... if it loses it, the next support is at 0.04 which is 33% lower...There's a small possibility of a bearish retest of 0.07 level. Swapped a good chunk of my theta into eith at 0.061 when it sold into the rally earlier today... I got stops placed on what's left. .. Have no issues swapping back on support below... Afterall, my initial take profit target was 0.44... just that it went parabolic
|
StrafordSTONES:From pic 1, The last rally was from 0.7 to 1.9... A breakout above this range should mirror that move at least and could also surpass it if it's goes parabolic... Zones to take profit are clearer against betece... (2nd chart) That said, I'm looking out for a daily close above 2 to confirm it's really out of the range.. let's see the daily close today
|
Crazeworld:I'm not adding significant positions most.. the position l hold were entries at much lower prices... Once they clear and flip those significant resistance areas, they rally much quicker... Before that, they can remain in a range for months. It's different ftom chasing green candles... Chasing green candles is buying anything that's pumping irrespective of what part of a rally it's in. On this, it's more about maximizing profits and time... The downside of this strategy is that you can get caught out by a fakeout and literally buy the top. That's why there are specific criteria which a coyn must meet before I get in... and I usually wait for a proper bounce... I may buy a lil higher, but tge risk is lesd Depending on the timeframe you trade, some folks trade within the range or just relax... A good example is ada and its levels... Also, while holding, you need to be sure it's consolidating for another leg up and not distributing into weaker hands Also, don't forget that when betece corrects, all other coins do whether they've pumped or not. And usually, strong trending coins bounce back quickly after a correction |
randy01:That's great.... Most profits are made on stuff you discover. On the upper right area above the chart, there's a settings menu where you can change the inputs on the chart... You can set it yo any number you want |
Another breakout triggeon zrx... Pic 1- clean breakout on the weekly Pic 2- 5hrly chart showing a pullback to the area of interest Pic 3- hourly chart showing things in more detail... It's at the area of interest that a bounce confirms the breakout. #plan your trade and trade your plan.... Still think a possible (but shallow) betece pullback might happen soon to give alyts more room
|
randy01:It all depends on your trading pattern and what support you're looking for abd what works for you I'd say from 4hr and abv is sensible as it removes most of the noice.. Also note tge higher the timeframe, the clearer the picture... I.e weekly support is more powerful than daily support.. But also know that whatever high timeframe move will always start with a low timeframe structure... Hence 15 min charts can be good in identifying breakouts too.. I rarely go below 15 though |
Ont looks cooked.. Broke previous high>>accelerated,>>retest>>> sweet bounce... My targets on this are still 3... Also, with neo breaking out, I expect this and gas to follow soon. I'd be adding on restest of the levels outlined... A betece pullback would be nice to loadup.. if a dip to 1.5 ish comes, all the better Sol...clear breakout from 18 and retest... Eitherway, a revisit of 17-18 area would be a nice place to load (if it happens)... This stuff could easily rally to 30-40 Edit: took an entry on sol at 19.5

jedisco:1st CA review Nothing as frustrating as being stuck in a ranging alyt when others are pampin... It's like being left in a bus in the park as agbero dey find passenger... There was time for that. This cycle of the market doesn't permit that... I now wait for the bus at the junction 1. Theta... Watching this with suspicion... It hasn't broken macro structure yet... Still has a higher high and higher low... If it doesn't start moving quick, na to port... 3.5 to 12 aint bad 2. Zil... This one's gate is at 0.2... it's forming a structure that may lead to a parabola...i.e pull a theta... That said, no be me go sidon for bus dey wait... Slowly channelling my stash into oda stuff... When it flips 0.2, we discuss... 3... Same with vet... It's gate is at 0.01 4. Fil.... Nuff said 5. Happy I didn't ape into this above 500... After a strong rally from 200, it seems it's forming a consolidatory range... Have no idea how long itd last but I have no plans to sidon inside bus 6. One.... Thankfully I cut half at previous high... Patiently waiting for a structure to form... Not clear what next 7. ONT.... This is almost ripe... Didn't get the 1.3-1.4 target... But my bag is large... 8. Gas... Started at 0.2 against betece... Currently at 0.26.... I'm looking to add more on a pullback... msy take its time buy that coin can pump silly... 9. Cocos nd fet... Cut them... Dont like the structure... New stuff I'm looking at... Solana.. a coin that pumps crazy... Broke out from 18... Trying to spot an entry Zrx... Key resistance level at 2... If it takes that, then I'd ride it Eith... Nice ascending triangle... A breakout could lead to 2500 ish... It's nice riding an eith pump cos when it pumps, it can stall the market. Still have alerts set on Ada (1.5), bnb (350), xrp(0.8 ).. now added vet (0.01), zil (0.2) and zrx (2) to the group.... Whichever one moves first, I ride.. On betece, I wouldn't takeout the possibility of a dip to the 56k level.. eitherway, decision time seems close and I want to have exposure if it breaks out |
Today was a good day... Baba God noni. Sweet profits on trx (taken 0.94 and 0.97)... Even sweeter profits on fil (taken at 189 and 196). Fil looking like it wants to breakout again. Hehe... If it does, perhaps I might target a retest... For now, profits locked in Fet should have made it a hatrick but the thing went awol
|
solreb:Nothing do you... You go put something for boot... Remember aave then... Most folks thought person dey craze when I called that target cos the bullrun in full force then... Didn't call sun though. It's encouraging when folks who benefited appreciate stuff shared |
Pawi:Na u go determine your good move/entry point I got in at a test of support. I had a plan on this move and I'm largely sticking to it. Na my trade be dat |
lordnaruto:This pullback was a healthy one to reload entries at support.. rem to buy support and sell resistance.. BTW, if youre trading spot, this shouldn't really bother you |
VEXT:Una don come again... It's a very solid project Ive made at least 40% trading ada between 1 and 1.45... Take aside tge fact that I sold my stash I held since 0.3 at 1.4.... The levels on ada are one of the most distinct.. 1>>> 1.2>>> 1.4-1.5 No need getting stuck in a range... Any good coin will consolidate after such a rally |
clems88:Lol... Bnb to overtake eith ba. Doge did me same... Held my money for no reason |
Jayboltz:When trading within a range, it's best to only buy support and sell resistance. Don't get stuck hoping resistance breaks... If it does, you can reenter |
They call it filo... I call it Philomena. Pikin wey sabi wetin em papa like Coming to daddy... Just one more push up... And we bring out the padlock Already peppersoup being readied.. hope I'm not the only one eating the peppersoup.. 1 week on this wasn't bad... moved quite fast though
|
seyisanya:Stick to stuff you know. If you want to throw jabs at a market, limit it to one you know. |
odimbannamdi:But then, you master a market well enough, it works for you... Moreso one that is fundamentally based on demand and supply and quite circular in flow... The principless of investing are still similar and cut across most aspects |
Lazyyouth4u:Some take Nairaland too serious. It's not about someone taking you seriously or not. I can barely keep up with my mentions on NL threads that interest me. I've had to limit the amount of time I spend on NL... I post on this thread in pulses as my free time permits. That's why my responses can be well delayed and come in groups. I only chip in here from time to time to put paid to certain erroneous views before they start taking hold... Last year, I made a series of posts when folks were wrongly comparing cost of living in the west to Nigeria which settled the matter. Soon after that was on the concept of nigerian women being 'useless'. Or when folks are blaming the truck pusher for the sorry state of the naira because he buys okrika clothes. Of late, I've been majorly focused around crypt0. I remember telling folks who were littering this place with crypt0 news to move to another thread. Then when you and a few started referring to crypt0 traders as speculators or yahoo boys. That triggered me considering the fact that folks pushing that idea would see the NSE as an 'investment' option. Same NSE where well over 90% of the people who traded there over the last decade have lost. That's almost like ponzi. The first thing I did then was to point out in January this year that the December NSE rally had bearish fundamentals. It didn't take long to play out. By March, most of them were rushing to sell their stocks at a loss. Pointing out that someone who invested $100 in FBNH stock 10 years ago will be left with $17 today was another fact difficult to argue against... If you notice, hasn't the talk of calling crypt0 investors being yahoo boys fizzled out too? So the fact that on the rare occasions I posted here, I've not taken issues up that I didn't quell with facts should tell you something. Facts are facts, I stick to facts and stuff I know. |
Two coins I'm interested in as stated before.. Ont... Breakout which seems to be retesting breakout levels... Got a good target on this... Rsr seems to be coming down to form the other 'shoulder'. A Safeway of playing a pattern is getting in on a confirmation of a breakout... Sometimes, I get in at support too
