Arizona042:This vitaliks tweet summarises it all. That's why I've not taken all the 'eith killer' talk seriously. If a chain is going to survive long-term, it has to bring something unique to the market or bring services to a unique sector of the market.

Arizona042:The court case has sent them off track. Also, it seems one of the founders left, took them up and they settled with him to get a huge amount of ripp... just that he'd sell periodically... it seems every month, the guy sells a huge truckload... The only thing going for ripp is that it's an old coin in the top 10 with a 'cheap' sticker price hence new folks are attracted to it. Most will ultimately get burned holding it. Now, L1s have taken over the scene and some do have cheap sticker prices too... With the way L1s are competing, their target would be to cannibalise the market cap of the likes of ripp in the top 10.... After all, most of the old dinosaurs like ltc, bsv, are being buried |
HantaVirus:Hehe... Most of what you said is 'will do, will do' Even if ripp goes on to provide the framework for those institutions you mentioned, it might do so via a separate ledger that wouldn't affect the price of their token... I also own small exrp and have been waiting to exit the rubbish into eith before this dip... To each his own, but crypt0 has begun to mature and coins with current utility (not promises) are taking center stage. Wouldn't be surprised to see only Layer 1s occupy the first 10 slots in the next 9-12 months.... |
Tyche:I agree- the chain is quite vibrant and the mcap/tvl is also quite impressive.... 1.5-2 looks like a juicy spot should bitc0in go on another rally... either way, I'd be guided by what the big coin is doing |
Tyche:With a rally already happening, hope it's not a sell the news event.... It's usually quite difficult for alyts to put in new ATHs in such market conditions |
Watched this pattern on betece hourly chart today. It's not a classic bull flag but after a first rally up, and consolidation, a second rally to the upside usually ensues. If this resolves to the upside, then the target would be 40k. At that point, I'd like to shave off some of the betece I bought earlier at 40k until market conditions become clearer.... aim would be to rebuy lower... Market is choppy and many trapped folks are looking to escape the market. I imagine many are targeting 40k to sell or short. Some would already be selling at a loss... I'm unsure if 33k is the bottom or not. Either way, even if it is, it'd be tested multiple times. In these market conditions, no need to fomo. Just target coins that have had a good bounce and aim for them on the next red market day....

Arizona042:Defi is a tricky one... some times, it looks like it's the same liquidity being passed around different protocols. Most of the protocols which offer huge apy are either new and untested (hence looking for liquidity) or do that on almost useless coins which they can inflate to zero. I've come to see that most coins with generally huge apy don't do well as such crazy rates mean crazy inflation on the coin. One smart chain that really does something different is Luna with their synthetic offerings |
Seems this space is divided between those who are waiting for any small pump to take their money and run... and those who are patiently waiting for 20-28k... Let us settle it via a poll. Like if you can'twait for a pump to exit some positions... Share if you're well seated in stables and waiting for capitulation |
armadeo:Relax....A 2k move on a 36k asset is nothing in crypt0. In the coming weeks, Bitc0in will have many of such moves in both directions |
armadeo:What are you confused about? |
DieRich5:Hope you didn't short into support.... |
I'm not surprised what bitc0in is doing.... Went on Twitter today and every one was so sure of a dump today... Just occured to me that bitcoin rarely does the obvious. All said, the day isn't over yet... no need to fomo Alot of people have mentioned the 2018 bear market... What they've not factored in is that the 2021 bull run wasn't like the 2017 bull run either. In the end, the big coyn does what it wants |
ignis:Be calm and log out... You'd likely make a very bad decision if you keep fretting. This market doesn't move in a straight line... Moreso, lot's of coyns are on high time frame support... There's a good chance you could still eck out your capital if you remain calm... Don't go selling the bottom to rebuy the top |
osic: ![]() All said, I believe shib will put in another rally later this year.... No assurances but if it happens, I'd make life changing money... BTW, I own little or no shib presently |
DieRich5:Hehehe.... |
Sunndaywillie:Jokes aside, bnb had held up well against eith for sometime now... It's now looking to be a better hedge against eith than ada |
A good example of staircase up, elevator down. 5 weeks of hardwork to drive prices up = 1 red ruler
|
DieRich5:Lucky you... I expected 40k to hold or at the very least give a better fight.... When are you planning to average in? Mk you don't end up buying back at 42k..hehe |
Hehe.. people don come again with the TA wahala... The issue is that most people think TA is a majic ball... it takes lots of repeated learning and knowing what works for you... There's a reason you're most are active in the market which is to maximise returns. If not, one can just buy a coin, go to sleep and return when it's pumped and sell. Many people fail at the basics and TA will not tell you that... e.g no amount of TA will make cake outperform bnb in the longterm. I get TA wrong a number of times... but I try to maximise times when I get it right to my benefit. For example, over the past few months, I've more than doubled my stash (not just usd value) of Harmony one by just using TA. For matic, it's over 50%. So even though,I bought back both coins higher up on this selloff, I'm still well in the positive from when I entered both earlier. If I hadn't done that, I'd be back now to where I started months back Most people think crypt0 is a large centre table where money is shared... nope! It's largely a group of market participants trying outsmart themselves. So we should use whatever skill we have in our arsenal |
dominique:The effect on the economy will add up. A nation of over 200 million shouldn't be dependent on much smaller nations to refine its crude |
jedisco:It's one thing to plan...It's another to execute..... |
emmanuelewumi:Wasn't aware of it'sexistence... hopefully, they can enlarge it to incorporate it to include more Nigerians using the bvn or national ID. That way, people would be incentivised to have a good credit history. |
jedisco:Just revisited this. 24 likes vs 15 shares... I was on the 'share' side... kudos to the majority |
Daemo111:Hehe.. The 9 months I put just means for him to take his mind off it... When crypt0 start to pump, he go know... worse case, he can set price alert on the coins he holds |
ignis:Hehehe... you no dey hear wetin we dey tok since? For anyone new to crypt0, it's always best to start with betece and eith and let them form the majority of your portfolio for at least the first 1 year... There's a reason why they're top 2. We've spoken about layer 1s and buying coins who have utility (i.e what function does the coin serve? is it used to pay fees on a smart chain? If so, how vibrant is the chain in relation to others? ) and little to no inflation (what is the supply vs demand drivers of the coyn). None of the coins on your list fit the bill. Honestly, I'm not a financial advisor, but if I were in your shoes, I'd wait for the coins I bought to break even. Sell them and use 50-60% of my stash to target bitc0in at about 30k, eth at about 2k, and maybe the rest on 2-3 out of bnb, sol, ftm, one, Luna , matic and Ada. Then forget my account for the next 9 months.... and return to see where they are... Another alternative will be to buy slowly in bits over say 2-3months... but u fit no get the mind... Either way, welcome to crypt0.... You came in at a time of war |
ignis: Were you expecting it to go up every hour?BTW, what coins did you buy. As an aside, use the pic below take console yourself
|
Teaser4: welcome to the bear season... by the time the next alt season comes, e fit be heg, neg, geg, etc go dey reign. |
Arizona042:I'm still at a loss to what's driving the TVL on ftm. It's almost caught up with bsc. Is it a few whales driving it just like with tron or is it actual community activity? All said, it has the most impressive mqrket cap to TVL ratio among the bigger chains. For eith, the backing of it's TVL is obvious. For Luna, it's the ust stable coyn |
SirAce:Personally, I'd stick with bitc0in until the dust settles. Under current market conditions, alyts will struggle. Bitcoin needs to find a bottom first, consolidate for a while and then go on a rally before alyts will catch up theway you want... Of course, some alts will do well but majority will be range bound. If a capitulation comes and alyts are dearth cheap or I want to scale into them, I'd stick to layer 1s with a proven smart chain. These would include eith and some others e.g bnb, sol, Luna, ftm, one. |
Imagine if the proprietor was a southerner or more specifically from the South East. The narrative would have been very different |
Ibime:Finally, it's good to be safe... I was torn between Ada at 1, Luna at 60 and Avax at 60... Went with Avax cos of its market cap... Either way it's a swing trade with a stoploss in place |
Ibime:Where are you bidding and what are your triggers? Got some Avax at 60... Mk I dey look that one... |
