^^Dude give it a rest already. You can always stay away from Nigeria indefinitely if you hate it so much. ROSSIKE is right that expert projections place Nigeria at the forefront of nations in the future. It's not as if those experts are unaware of societal ills like corruption, inefficiency etc. But other nations have developed in the long run despite having those problems. Nigeria won't be any different. |
Anyone saying Ghana is ''better'' than Nigeria needs to have their head checked. As for the electricity thing, fact is constant supply or not, millions of Ghanaians live without any electricity at all, especially in the rural areas, and outside Accra, there is very little development to speak of. Accra itself needs a lot more investment than it's getting. |
^^ The problem with ours is that it's just all talk, there's no spelt out plan on how the power problem will be solved. You're wrong. Have you heard of the Power Sector Reform Roadmap? http://www.proshareng.com/admin/upload/reports/VetivaResearchFlashNoteNigeriaPowerSectorReformRoadmap.pdf |
^^Ol boy it was the maiden voyage. Chillax. It goes a lot quicker than: iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiihttps://d1ij7zv8zivhs3.cloudfront.net/assets/2287653/original/Animation2.gif?1286390347 |
Governor Aliyu asked the people some questions relating to the death of President Yar’Adua, Hausa. That's a funny sequence in an odd sort of way. ![]() |
Justcash wrote: Beautiful development. Even if the trains are crawling like snails at the moment, and being pounded by noise, it can only get better and not worse. GEJ has done a good job by making the trains work. He should do more.My theory is that PDP have been around long enough, and chopped money long enough to now say ok, let's get down to work. This is why we need them to stay on. The last thing we need is a fresh set of empty pockets waiting to be filled. Those ones will simply put a halt to all ongoing projects, begin to ''probe'' this or that person or project, all just so they can renegotiate/resign contracts and start new projects that they can chop from. So please let PDP stay on biko! ![]() |
@Jen 33Select places ? What IS ''select places'' is the CRAP BBC shows you - you know, that scene of blacks attacking an obsure white farm which they showed over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again till all you saw when you thought of Zimbabwe was THAT farm being stormed by 'war veterans'.THAT'S THE ''SELECT PLACES'' YOU MEANT, SURELY NOT CENTRAL HARARE. |
Enugu Ukwu, why waste your breath? Best ignore those folks before u give yourself unnecessary blood pressure. Personally I can't wait to get on one of those trains. A whole new way to enjoy Naija. ![]() |

Bianca and Peter Obi had been on a tussle on how to pay for the airlifting. Peter Obi is reported to have been reluctant to release the required funds to facilitate for the airlift because he already disburses N15million monthly of Anambra State funds to Bianca for the upkeep of Ezigbo. That's a 100 thousand dollars a month! |
^^He asked a great question. The power requirements for residences and industries need to be sorted out before devoting to high speed rail, especially when there are alternatives. |

lol. Great point. How come all those guys are swimming in money if Buhari is Mr anti-corruption personified? |

The New NRC https://www.nrc-ng.org/images/picture1.jpg https://i54.tinypic.com/2d1sggo.jpg A major breakthrough has been achieved in the on-going rehabilitation of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) with the completion of repair works on the 488-kilometre Lagos –Jebba rail track. The completion was confirmed by a team of officials drawn from the NRC’s Civil Engineering Department, the Federal Ministry of Transport and representatives of the consultants and contractors engaged for the project, who undertook a trial run on the track https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3149/3041945144_71e00125df_o.jpg https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3239/3041102911_85f57c3836.jpg https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3146/3041102959_ce158619e6.jpg |
@kobojunkie, You're wrong. Companies like General Electric still manufacture Diesel Locomotives for the US market. Other nations still making them are Australia, Sweden etc. |
Buhari is finished as a contestant in this election. That NN24 debate sealed his fate as a no-hoper, and showed him to be grossly unqualified to lead this country. Thanks to the emirs for finally seeing reason. |
Now tell me why Gadaffi cannot live in a place like this. Is Tripoli better than this, even with all their oil? |
Tcrack said: Ghadaffi! Ghadaffi!! Ghadaffi!!! You see your life.why would anybody in his right frame of mind want to live in Zimbabwe. of all places ZIMBABWE.I don't blame you. ^^^ Mugabe is an African HERO. He refused to sell his country out to the west, suffered economic sanctions as a result, but has now broken the sanctions and the country is back on track, WITH THE LAND NOW IN THE POSSESSION OF ITS RIGHTFUL OWNERS. |
^^ That's because China is swimming in money. ![]() |
^^ Olodo, do you know even the USA uses locomotive trains till today? They can be very efficient and cost effective. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ab/Metra_Locomotive_EMD_F40PHM-2.jpg/799px-Metra_Locomotive_EMD_F40PHM-2.jpg |
Kudos to Mr President. This is the sort of thing that makes one proud to be Nigerian. |
If the USA and Britain can condemn the violence, Nigeria most certainly CAN do as well. Who has more blood of the innocent on their hands? 1.5 MILLION DEAD INNOCENT IRAQIS (not to mention Vietnamese, Afghans et al) do not share your admiration and respect for the supposed ''civilized powers''. That it was foreigners those western troops slaughtered and not ''their own people'' does not make them any less brutal or sadistic, unless you're saying that killing foreigners is morally superior to killing one's own population, a claim for which there is absolutely no basis. |
PhysicsMHD said: The JTF operation in the Niger Delta to fish out militants hiding among civilians involved heavy force against civilians, did it not? Just asking.I'm sorry but I don't recall the JTF or Nigerian govt massacring 1,000 people+ like Ghadaffi has done in a matter of days. And if the USA and Britain can talk, Nigeria most certainly CAN talk. Amazing pics. There are images there that wouldn't look out of place in Dubai or Miami. ![]() |
Yawwn. The usual ranting by frustrated idiotts and failures. For your information, Nigeria manufactures cars, SUVs, trucks and buses. http://www.innosongroup.com/innosonmotors/index.php |
