Students are known to try cheating during a test, but to see a teacher help them cheat was unheard of until now. According to reports, a fifth-grade teacher, who allegedly helped students cheat, excused her behavior because they were “dumb as hell.” Atlanta, Georgia mathematics teacher Shayla Smith appeared before a three-person test-cheating tribunal. The court upheld her termination to the Dobbs Elementary school board after an hour of deliberation. The school board has not yet voted whether Smith’s contract will be renewed. The Atlanta Public Schools system got the court to investigate Smith. Approximately 180 teachers are accused of dishonesty. Smith’s hearing included testimony from a former student and colleague. Schajuan Jones, taught in the fourth grade classroom near Smith. One day Smith supervised a test for another teacher. Later, Jones said she heard Smith admit to cheating, while expressing unpleasant views of the children. “The words were: “I had to give the children, or students, the answers because they are stupid as hell,” Jones told the court. She says she did not speak out before because she was afraid from the principal. Both women admitted to not get along. During the hearing, Smith accused Jones of being a liar. The student said Smith gave students’ answers to a test. Smith allegedly pointed to the right answers on the exam, according to an unidentified girl, who is now in the eighth grade. But the girl’s testimony was not airtight. She also said that the examination lasted for several days, but Smith said it was only one day. A testing expert sided with Smith on this point, according to the local news media. Along with giving students the answers, Smith has also been accused of changing answers after collecting the exams. Examinations marks showed that someone changed wrong answers to correct answers, said Superintendent Erroll Davis. Although there is no evidence that Smith altered student responses, Davis is confident that future testing will be done without any cheating.

1. You Can Not Chase Money And Women At The Same Time - Even when so many fathers have made this mistake in their youthful days they still end up failing to tell their sons that one can not hunt for money and women at the same time. It is either one makes money and then start chasing women or the other way round. 2. A Man Gets More Respect Based On His Pocket - This point is not trying to encourage crime or ungodly acts in other to make wealth but to face reality. It is a known fact that both within the home front and the society at large, a man is respected the more according to how comfortable and financially free he becomes. 3. Women Can Make Or Ruin You - So many fathers even when they know the truth of the power of any woman, still shy away from enlightening their sons on the critical hidden powers a woman possesses. From the days of Adam, Samson, Solomon, Abacha and other notable men, we have seen how a man can either rise or fall through the power and influence of a woman. A man should therefore thread as softly as possible when dealing with a woman. 4. A Woman Can Smell A Successful Man From Miles Away - Women naturally have an hidden instinct of knowing a man who is successful or have the tendency of being successful in the future. So many women have stuck to a struggling and upcoming man against their parents wish of marrying an already made man. A woman will say things like “he has a bright future”, “he has potentials” or “he will be a great man in future”. Ladies who have uttered such words and stuck by their men have never gone wrong. Example is how Michelle Obama stuck with Barack through thick and thin. 5. A Woman Doesn’t Like A Weak Man - When fathers tell their sons never to give in to a woman’s pressure, they mostly advise their sons to be forceful on issues to prove he is the man of the house. When in reality, women prefer men who say less and do more, rather than the ones who keep talking but do less. The latter is the typical meaning of a weak man but fathers always advice to do such to prove he is the king of the house. 6. Women Appreciate Men With Fatherly Characters - Most men always miss out on this and as such never advise their sons to be a father figure to their wives. Women are best at doing this but every woman wants a man who sits her down to advice her, reason with her, give her constructive criticisms and above all, believe in her. 7. It Is Easier To Catch A Cheating Man Than Catch A Cheating Woman - Most men till date don’t know that it is far easier to get caught cheating as a man than catching a woman who cheats. A woman can make a man ‘father’ every single child she has but only her knows who the biological father is, while a man can hardly keep it as a secret from his wife when he has a love child outside the matrimonial home.

In case you haven’t observed it yet, 85% of “career eligible’’ married women are house wives in Nigeria. I mean educated young women between 25 – 35 years of age. These are women who have spent the better parts of their lives struggling to obtain a degree only to be bagged down as “redundant assets” simply because their marital status reads : “Married”. Outrageous isn’t ¬? You may ask about the likes of Dora Akunliyi and other prominent Nigerian women in important offices all over the country? My answer would be: Do you know when they got their first offices to be where they are now? They were amongst the women opportuned to gain directly from all those campaigns about: “Women rights”. Presently, women are accepted to pursue any career of their dream in Nigeria but the quest is 10 times more difficult for a woman that has married tagged on her fore-head. I must assume that most “relevant” companies in Nigeria has conspired to delete as many married female applicants as possible! There are several cases of women who have been denied jobs once they mention they are married. This is a recent case I was witness to. A friend of mine and I saw a vacancy post for Nestle Graduate Trainee 2013, some months earlier. We went to the same internet café and logged in to apply. I finished filling and submitting my form within minutes. My friend on the other hand hit the submit b*tton endlessly and nothing happened! On impulse I changed her marital status to single and hit the b*tton. Viola! The form was submitted in seconds!...

So Now In Nigeria.... Instead of PLEDGE, we Pray... |
The security situation in Nigeria is highly combustible at the moment. We are in the era or threats and counter threats. I think these talks of attacks are dangerous signals that should get everyone worried: Reacting to the latest threat by the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, to commence bombing of mosques and killing of Muslims from May 31, in retaliation for Boko Haram's killing of Christians, the AYC has promised to deal a deadly blow on Southern Nigeria if MEND should attack any Mosque or kill any Muslim. The AYC, that is the Arewa Youths Forum, also warned MEND not to arrogate to itself the monopoly of violence. The warning was made by the National President of the AYF, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Gujungu in Abuja. Gujungu made it clear that any attack by MEND will be "adequately" replied. ”The most recent threat by MEND is indeed, unfortunate, callous and counter productive, especially coming at a time when patriotic Nigerians are making strident effort and sacrifices to resolve the current security challenge. “MEND, as usual, is putting spanners in the works for unpatriotic selfish economic benefits. It is painful that these elements are threatening more violence despite the colossal amount being paid their leadership and the training of Niger Delta youths abroad by the Federal Government to the obvious disadvantage of other Nigerian youths outside the region. “It is very sad and mind boggling to note that instead of supporting and ensuring that President Jonathan succeeds in finding a lasting solution to the present security challenge in the north, MEND has re-opened another insecurity theatre in the Niger Delta to cause distraction and make him fail. “The obvious disrespect, which MEND shows to President Jonathan as not being among those they respect enough to intervene in the ongoing debacle, is food for thought, to say the least,” Gujungu noted. But the spokesperson of the defunct Niger-Delta Liberation Force, NDLF, Captain Mark Anthony has threw his weight behind the planned attack by MEND. In his words: “If MEND can carry out their threat, it will be a welcome development, the Christians Boko Haram roasted with bombs in hundreds are human beings...
