smile4kenn: I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and I would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity. Next, I would like to thank my girlfriend. She had been patience with me while I attempt to make the top comment. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next I would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that I need to get through the day to make the top comment. This is a special moment in my life and I would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that I will never forget. I just remembered a few other people I will like to thank; Facebook, my light in my room bc i wouldn’t be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on nairaland, my house because without it I would be homeless, and last but not least I would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how I did this, I would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the nairalanders out there reading this, I would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the first comment is amazing, thank you everyone.hahahahahaahahaahaha... like seriously?... |
The spate of insecurity, bombings and killings in parts of Nigeria might be coming to an end as President Goodluck Jonathan is said to have accepted to give the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram, amnesty as has been requested by many Northern leaders. A credible source told that amnesty for Boko Haram has been accepted... The accord was said to have been struck at a meeting between Mr President and the leadership of the Northern Elders Forum at the presidential villa, Abuja, which lasted into the night. Consequently, President Jonathan has summoned a security meeting with chiefs in the country, which will be held today at the presidential villa. They are to finalize the tactics for the amnesty. Also, I hear a committee will be set up to oversee the process. Present at the meeting were notable Northern leaders. Lets hope this approach works.

Jesus Did Not Die on the Cross. He Was In a Coma - Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi. Respected Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi has sensationally asserted that Jesus Christ did not die on the cross and there was therefore no basis for Christians to celebrate Easter. According to Gumi, Jesus was only comatose. Gumi made this postulation on his facebook page on a post titled 'Easter Musings' and NaijaPundit as usual brings it to you hot and fresh below. "One of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe” that he was not dead when he was brought down from the cross. He was then only comatose. "Therefore, the Quran here is also a perfect answer for this line of theological belief. Allah said in the Quran “”.;- but They killed Him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety They killed Him not:- Nay, Allah raised Him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted In power, Wise;”.

Speculation has been rife in recent weeks about who would take charge at Stamford Bridge next season after interim boss Rafa Benitez confirmed he would be leaving at the end of the current campaign. Reports suggested Jose Mourinho would return to his former club but, in a sensational move, the west London club’s Russian owner is preparing to take charge of team affairs. A Chelsea insider confirmed to talkSPORT that the billionaire oligarch has been attending a fast-track coaching course at the FA’s new centre of excellence, St George’s Park, and he now needs to pass just one more exam before being awarded his UEFA Pro licence which would enable him to take over at Chelsea. Former Blues boss Gianluca Vialli has known about Abramovich’s plans for some time, but was sworn to secrecy until now. He told talkSPORT: “I’ve heard about Roman Abramovich. He’s nearly completed his coaching badges. It was a rumour at the beginning but now it’s out there and everyone knows about it. I think it will be the first time we have had a chairman and manager of the same club. I think he will do a great job— Gianluca Vialli “I spoke to him and he wanted to know a few things about how to become the best manager in the world. He actually wanted to buy his coaching badges, but I said you can’t buy that, you have to go through the process.” The news will send shockwaves through the Premier League but Vialli, who won five trophies during his time in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat, is confident Abramovich has the tools to succeed. “I think he will be good,” he added. “He will have the full attention of the players and he can talk to them about contracts, line-ups and stuff. “I think it will be the first time we have had a chairman and manager of the same club and I wish him all the best. I think he will do a great job...

As you are reading this, the two are already together again working on how to revive their Mo’hits entertainment outfit. The Central Bank of Nigeria on Thursday announced the cancellation of the N100 monthly Automatic Teller Machine card maintenance fee introduced by some banks recently and which generated public condemnation. The CBN in a circular titled, ‘Revised guide to bank charges,’ posted on its website, however, pegged the maintenance fee at N100 annually. Also affected is the mandatory cost of Short Message Service alert which has been pegged at N4 subject to the Nigerian Communication Commission’s directives. The circular, which takes effect from April 1, read, “In order to reflect current developments in the market and provide clarity on banking terms, the CBN recently conducted a review of the guide in consultation with all the banks and discount houses, Bankers’ Committee, financial experts and also considered inputs received from other stakeholders to produce the revised guide to bank charges.” On electronic transfer, the bank said N70 would be charged on transactions below N500,000 while N100 should be charged on transactions between N500,000 and N1m. Transactions above N1m will attract a charge of N500. It said issuing fee of a debit card should exceed N1,000, while international withdrawals per transaction on debit cards should be charged at N240 rather than N1,000 being currently charged by almost all the banks. The CBN pegged the interest on savings deposit accounts at a minimum of 30 per cent of the Monetary Policy Rate per annum. It would be recalled that following the Bankers’ Committee meeting in November 2012 which scrapped the N100 interbank charge on the use of ATM cards, some banks went ahead to introduce the N100 monthly maintenance fee on ATM cards... http://www.informationng.com/2013/03/cbn-bows-to-public-outcry-cancels-n100-monthly-atm-maintenance-fee.html
