The President of Ondo State Unification of Cherubim and Seraphim, Primate Ademisokun Turton has stated that the incessant killings by the outlawed Islamic sect,Boko Haram will come to an end as soon as President Goodluck Jonathan discloses his 2015 political ambition.

The cleric said this in Akure, Ondo state capital at the inauguration of the Unification of the Churches in the state that the insecurity situation in Nigeria will come to an end the moment President Goodluck Jonathan makes it public that he is not re-contesting in 2015.

According to him, “amnesty or no amnesty, the activities of the sect will continue until our President speaks out on his political ambition come 2015.”

Turton who heads the Success Cathedral of the Church in the state alleged that Northern leaders are behind the growing insecurity in the country, believing that they can make it a campaign issue.

He said that the plan of the North was to regain power in 2015, adding that he was against the granting of amnesty to the faceless group who are bent at tearing the country apart.

A tour guide in the Florida Everglades took his excursion to 11 when he spotted a massive Burmese Python -- and leapt into the water to wrestle it into submission.

"I grew up here, so this is pretty standard for the most part," Tommy Owens of Everglades Adventure Tours told NBC2.

Tell that to the awe-struck families who caught the whole adventure on video. Owens and fellow guide Warren Wortman were leading parents and children on a canoe tour through the river when the sight of the invasive species swimming along undisturbed made Owens indignant.

"They don't belong here, and that was literally running through my mind," he said. "I just launched on it essentially, ambushed it like any other predator out here." (Story continues below.)

The snake, however, turned out to be 10 and a half feet long -- and it began coiling itself around Owens' arm as the fight began.

"That's when I found out he was stronger than I was, and much bigger than I thought he was," Owens laughed. "We were kind of doing like a snake ju-jitsu. He'd get a coil around one arm and my other arm would uncoil him and that arm would get coiled. It was tough... at one point I was literally handcuffed to this snake."

With Wortman's help, the snake was eventually subdued and euthanized.

"They're eating our birds, our wading birds, our rabbits, our smaller mammals," Owens explained. "A snake that size can just cause a lot of damage, so I caused a lot of damage to him essentially, unfortunately for him."

Indeed. The pythons are suspected to be wiping out large numbers of raccoons, opossums, bobcats and other mammals in the Everglades, aaccording to an alarming recent population study.

Many of the snakes are believed to have made their way into the ecosystem when dumped by irresponsible pet owners -- and they've become such a huge problem they state even sponsored a month-long amateur hunt earlier this year. Unfortunately, the big hunt only yielded 68 of the estimated 150,000 pythons roaming the Everglades.

As for the little girls canoing with Owens and Wortman that day? They loved it, according to the guides.

Former military Head of State retired Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday gave a rare commendation to the Federal Government for setting up a committee on the fundamentalist Boko Haram sect.

The Federal Government on April 4, said that a committee would be set up to look into the possibility of granting amnesty to members of Boko Haram, who had been waging a bloody campaign against the country in recent years.

Buhari gave the commendation while addressing newsmen in Abeokuta.

The former head of state who was in Ogun to commiserate with Mrs. Hannah Awolowo on the death of her son, Oluwole Awolowo, described the amnesty gesture for Boko Haram as a welcome development.

“It is good that the Federal Government has set up a committee on amnesty. I have not seen the terms of reference but it is a good step in the right direction.”

He described the decision as a bold step capable of restoring peace to troubled areas of the country, adding, “whatever that will bring peace to us as a people, we should do”.

Buhari who noted that there had been precedence on the issue of amnesty, recalled that the former Niger Delta militant group once benefitted from a similar gesture.

“This is not the first time amnesty will be granted to a violent group. You remember it was granted to the militant group in the Niger Delta during the time of late President Musa Yar’adua.”

Buhari, a former presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the 2011 general elections, was accompanied by Mr. Tunde Bakare, his running mate during the elections.

The CPC chieftain, who had earlier addressed party supporters, said he was in the state to condole with the Awolowo’s over the death of Oluwole.

He said that he would also go to Ekiti, to commiserate with the government over the death of Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka, the Deputy Governor of the state who died on April 6...

The cold war between the governor of Rivers State – Rotimi Amaechi and the Presidency assumed a different dimension when he accused hawks within President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration of plotting to remove him as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.

Mr Amaechi claimed that his strong and public condemnation of corruption in the petrol subsidy payments by the Federal Government led to his blacklisting by the President who has gone further to exclude him from some official programs.

Ameachi who spoke in Ikogosi Ekiti State at a seminar organised by The Future Project on Saturday, said the presidency was dissatisfied with his insistence as NGF chairman that complete transparency and accountability be brought to the payment of petrol subsidy.

While explaining that the state governors were not opposed to fuel subsidy but were frustrated “about the corruption in it”, accused officials who supervise payment of the subsidy regime of fraud saying, “they balloon the figures.”

The Rivers Governor said it was for this reason that the Governors Forum was in court to challenge the legality of the federal government’s action of using money meant for the three tiers of government (federal, state, and local government) to pay for petrol subsidy.

He questioned the sincerity in the federal government’s payment of the petrol subsidy saying “oil subsidy is criminal,” and alleged that the presidency was displeased with him for his stance.

“It is one reason they (the presidency) don’t want me as governor’s chairman,” Mr. Amaechi stated.

It will be recalled that Mr. Amaechi’s tenure as NGF chairman comes to an end in May, although he is eligible for re-election.

The Rivers State governor further alleged that the presidency had stopped inviting him to join Mr. Jonathan’s entourage on foreign official visits.

It is the norm in Nigeria that when the president is travelling for official engagements outside the country, some governors, ministers, legislators and top businessmen accompany him in order to use the opportunity to interact with, and attract foreign investors to their domains.

Mr. Amaechi said the last time he was invited for such was a trip to Turkey before his recent spat with Jonathan.

“That (the Turkey trip) is about the last trip. They don’t like taking me again to come with them,” he said.

The governor revealed that many senior PDP and government officials had cautioned him on his public statements about the federal government’s (in)actions.

“Amaechi, don’t talk again now,” the governor quoted some advisers as telling him in order to return to Mr. Jonathan’s good books.

The Rivers Governor however indicated his willingness to stand firm on his beliefs despite the fact that “when the president talks, everybody catches cold...

Whenever we are in conversation with someone, we will mirror the leader of the conversation in an attempt to build subconscious rapport with them. When you perfectly combine triangular gazing and mirroring, you have a combination that will make her subconsciously think about kissing you.



After talking with her in rapport, start to look at her mouth. At first, only for 2 seconds, then look back to her eyes. Switch between her left and right eye, then back to her mouth for a few seconds longer. Continue to go from left to right eye and back to her mouth for 2 seconds, 3 seconds, then 5 seconds. Eventually, you want to be mostly looking at her mouth. When she begins to look at your mouth as well, you know for sure that she’s ready to kiss you. Voila!



The Kiss Technique takes all of the guess work out of “making a move”.

Former Manchester City striker Rodney Marsh believes Roberto Mancini will leave the Blues this summer – even if he wins the FA Cup.

The Etihad boss has come under pressure this season after the club failed to put up any real fight to retain their Premier League title, although a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford did show signs of last campaign's spirit.

City are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, where they will play Chelsea next weekend at Wembley, and face the relatively easy prospect of playing either Wigan or Millwall in the final should they see off Rafa Benitez’s side.

Mancini's future at the Blues is unsure after being linked with a summer switch to super rich Ligue 2 side Monaco, although the 48-year-old has moved moved to quash those suggestions.

But former Maine Road favourite Marsh claims the Italian's time in the north west is coming to an end.

“Roberto Mancini will leave Manchester City even if they win the FA Cup,” he told talkSPORT. “It’s been a poor season for them, if you take into consideration that they were champions last year.

This may come as a shock to you but guys have different eyeballs than you do. You know why I’m saying that?
Because when YOU look at yourself in the mirror, you see that front tooth that’s a bit crooked, the line where your bra presses in (you call this your “back fat”), the too-small breasts or the too-wide rear, your goofy knees, funny toes…. The list goes on and on.

But you know what your MAN sees? A woman he’d love to strip naked and get busy with right this instant, maybe sooner. My personal body part confession… Maybe you have a muffin top “thing,” but I used to HATE my feet.

When I was a teenager, I had surgery on my big toes (bunions, it’s such an ugly word!!) and for the next 20 years I zealously covered my feet. I never EVER owned a pair of sandals or open-toed shoes and would have died before I let a man openly look at my feet. I have a big scar running the length of both big toes. My second toe is longer. My feet are… wanky. You know. Ugh, I could make myself MISERABLE thinking about my feet.

Shockingly, amazingly, wonderfully, I found a man actually willing (he would say, desperate!) to marry me.

I hope you’re laughing now, but at the time, I found it next to impossible to think about what kind of man would marry me “even with these feet.”

3. They see what you constantly draw their attention to

This is where you have the power to rock or ruin a relationship.
When you constantly complain about your own body, a man’s desire to enjoy and love you are being eroded a little at a time. In other words, you’re rejecting him. He thinks, “I could touch her body all day,” and you say, “I’m too flabby.” You’re not only tearing yourself down, you’re tearing HIM – his thoughts, his desires for you, his excitement about you – down.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has now gone seven games without scoring, but what are the reasons behind his dip in form?

Ask any Manchester City, Chelsea, or even Tottenham fan and they will tell you that Van Persie has carried Manchester United through the season...

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini attributes Van Persie to United’s success this season. While there is no doubt that the reigning champions have under-performed, Van Persie’s 19 Premier League goals this season have to count for something, don’t they?

Breaking it down, we see that Van Persie has scored a plethora of match-winning goals. In addition to that, he has also scored against City and Chelsea, as well as against Arsenal and Liverpool - all of the so-called big games.

However, recently the goals seem to have dried up. Now without a goal in seven games, Van Persie is starting to worry fans. For so much of the season, United have been reliant on their superstar striker to provide the match-winning spark. Without him scoring on a regular basis, they have had to turn to other sources for goals, such as the ever-present Wayne Rooney.

Additionally, more frequently goals are coming from defence. Patrice Evra, a full-back, has more goals this season than striker Danny Welbeck. The entire United team seems to be compensating for Van Persie’s lack of goals.

Having established this problem, we must now analyse the likely reasons behind this egregious drop in form.

While there seem to be several likely explanations, two seem to stand out above the others as being most probable.

The first has to do with the declining necessity of Van Persie’s contributions. At the beginning of the season, Rooney was horribly out of form, the midfield was being outplayed on a regular basis, and the defence was leaking worrying numbers of goals. Additional pressure was therefore placed upon Van Persie’s shoulders to deliver critical performances.

However, with the return of Rooney to scoring form, Van Persie is no longer the sole-bearer of the goalscoring burden. History has shown that Van Persie performs better when he is under pressure - as demonstrated by his carrying of a mediocre Arsenal team to a Champions League spot. Perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson should allow Javier Hernandez more playing time in order to put the pressure back on the Dutchman’s shoulders.

The second explanation is the shift in United’s defensive situation, following the return of their captain, Nemanja Vidic.

It’s no secret that United’s defence has been near immaculate recently. With the return of defensive solidity, perhaps Sir Alex has signalled a shift from the cavalier offence-minded tactics he deployed earlier in the season to a tight, defence-minded strategy.

It is likely that, as a result, Van Persie’s goals have dried up?...
