My assessment from WES states as follows: Major/Specialization: Law Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years) Remarks: The Bachelor of Laws is the first professional degree in law in Ghana and represents the completion of three years of professional study in a Common Law Jurisdiction
optionese: Maybe the jurisdictions make the difference.
Is your assessment out? What was the final evaluation? I am here to assure you that you may have just wasted money as WES reviews your certificates as 1st degree and not professional degree.

Do you obtain the PCC before receiving an ITA or you just obtain it which hoping to be issued an ITA. Am in Ghana and it seems from the CIC website that one might not need PCC to apply upon invitation but only upon written request from CIC. I realised its clearly required for Nigeria. Can any one please clarify this or if they know some one who obtained PCC from Ghana. |

The requirement is fluid cash or money instruments like T bills. If you sell the land and have a bulk cash.keep the receipt issued and land transfer deed as proof that you got the money from sale of a land you owned. Because Bulk deposits raises questions. Faky201: Please is there anyone that has used sale of property - land as POF ? |

Boss13: I think there is more to the story than the poster revealed. If you read the email sent by IRCC, the VO had reasonable doubt on his work experience and possibly requested for a 6 months bank statement to either collaborate his claims. Unfortunately, his agent provided something else which gave the VO reasonable grounds that his earlier documents were also fictitious.
Either he didn't work with Diamond Bank or he worked as a contract staff but rather claimed he worked in Diamond bank. Can't he withdraw the application as opposed to wait and see approach? Anyway when it gets toughest lean to God for mercy. It doesn't always mean you go scott free but He goes thru the mess with you.All the best |

Help, my spouse has a residence permit which will expire in 2 months unless renewed (which will be time consuming). My question is, being an accompanying spouse, does it matter at the time of application that his permit is almost expiring or expired? |

Aha. Makes sense. Thanks [1quote author=40manlappy post=57382496]
Think about this: Did your sibling upload your birth certificate along with his/her application? Even if he/she did, imagine if VOs have to check that fact for every applicant that has claimed points through a relative considering the volume of applications at hand? Above all, it is a basic requirement from IRCC which I don't think is too difficult to obtain.
It simply makes the job easy for them. Besides, IMO, they can always verify your documents against that of your relative should the need arise.[/quote] |

40manlappy: It is reasonable to provide both, yours and sister's. That should prove that you both have same parents because their names will be on the documents. At the expense of sounding silly, i need a clarification(if any one can offer it here). . if they have your siblings details at the point they traveled showing that you are a sibling.isnt that proof enough. Need to obtain birth certs? |

Dammiehar: After getting the NOI as you have just gotten, I think you have 6 months to apply, so you can just hold on and see if the EE cut-off goes down in the coming days. Whichever province offers you nomination, you still have to pay for the application. Read more here concerning Ontario PNP http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL_FAQ.html Yes. The cut off is estimated to go lower Within the next months |

Want to know if its advisable to present my spouse's bank statement. Although I am the principal applicant and my spouse has the bulk of the money. Can you kindly advise me on what to do. |

Kontagious: 1.) from my research thus far, t-bills is acceptable. I actually intend using t-bills. 2.) yes, longer tenors guarantee higher return. But the tenors are 91days, 182days, 365days... So apart from 91days (3 months) being the least, next you can opt for is 182days (6 months). Remember you cannot terminate like FD, so if you go for the 6 months, your money is locked and unaccessible for the entire 6 months. Presently, 91days is at about 13.5%, 182day at 17.2%, 365days at 18.8%. These rates are at per annum so remember to prorate just like FD. 3.)the interest is paid into your account on day one. It's automated, you get the interest credited just after you are debited for the t-bills. For FD, you get principal and interest creditted on day 91 (assuming you did 3 months tenor), but for t-bills, you get interest on day 1 and principal on day 91. You have full access to your interest as it is paid.
The whole essence of t-bills is citizens borrowing FG money, in effect, it's actually FG mopping up money in circulation as you do not have access to that money (your invested amount) for the period of your investment, but the interest is good (and you have access to this from day one) I am actually using my personal account but looking at this carefully, TBill woulda been a better options with respect to the returns. |
