I kept my mum's passport and when she got the message, I went with her and submitted it.
From my observation, it didn't matter if it was her or me that came with the passport because, it's only to drop the passport.
Your brother will receive another email informing him that his passport is ready (probably the next working day).
However, he'll have to go collect it himself or send someone (with letter of authority + ID Card; the form will be in the email sent).
But if he paid for courrier, then I believe they'll just post it to him.

Abiodunnn:
Hello people,
My brother applied for 6 months visa with his family in V.I and he kept his passport with him because he works in Liberia. Now he has gotten a mail to submit his passport. My question now is:
Does he have to submit his passport to the TLS in Lagos and does he have to do so in person or can he send his passport through courier?

Thank you

Greetings All.

Just to give you my own experience.

I live in Paris. My mum came to visit me from Nigeria so she had Schenghen visa on her Nigerian passport.
I decided to apply for a UK visa for me and for her from Paris TLS.
I submitted my documents as sponsor for myself and for my mum.
I applied on June 6 and we got our visas on July 4.

Best regards to all.

(Urgent please, Thanks).

Hello everyone.
Can someone please tell me if it's OKAY to book a hotel for my visa application even though my sister and her family live in the UK?
I plan to travel with my two kids and my mum.
My sister is in Birmingham with her family. It's taking time to get the required documents from her so I think I would rather book a hotel.
Can I book a hotel in London, or in Birmingham? I'm okay with either cities.
Do I have to write a letter explaining why I won't stay at her place?
Thanks for your kind responses.

INVITATION LETTER

Greetings all,
I live in France and I and my family (4 in total) would like to visit the UK to see my sister and her family. They just arrived last year.
First, do I have to indicate that I have family inthe UK?
If yes, DOES my sister have to give me us an invitation letter?
Thank you for your kind responses.

Greetings all.
My post is not entirely related to this topic.
My questions is about getting a death certificate in Lagos.
The Lagos State Government Medical Certificate of Cause of Death issued for my dad has the wrong age but it doesn't include his date of birth.

My questions please:
1. Does this document qualify as the official death certificate? Or is it the document I would tender to get a death certificate?
2. Can the document be reissued with the correct age?
3. I would need a legalised death certificate from Foreign Affairs. Does anyone know how I can go about it, please?
Thank you for your kind responses.

Greetings everyone.

I live in France. My husband is French and we have two children.
My mum just got a France visa to visit me. It's a multiple entry that's valid up till 2024 that is 2 years.
I would like her to visit the UK while she's here with us in Paris.
I will apply for a UK visa since I don't have a French passport. I have had 3 UK visas in the past.

My question please:
1. Can she also apply for a UK visa from Paris or does it have to be from Nigeria ? I'll be the sponsor.
2. How much should I have in my bank account balance?
3. Does she have to indicate that she has family in the UK even though our visit is purely for tourism in LONDON ? (My younger sister and family live in another city. They relocated to UK last year as medical staff).
4. If she has to apply from Nigeria, how long does it take to get her passport back ? So that we can plan around that before getting her ticket.

Thank you for your kind advice.

Dear all. I'm reposting cos I haven't got any response. Thanks for your help.

I would like information for admission for my brother in law.

1. He's 40 years old. He has a wife who is gainfully employed and they have 2 children. THey are landlords. He"s self-employed and has a profitable business, so he can sponsor himself comfortably.
2. He runs a transportation business, i.e. he transports goods up country.
3. Who can please advise a good course for him to apply for and a University that is easy to get admission. This process is to enable the family to relocate later.
4. How possible is it for his wife and children to relocate using this plan? Or what other plan is possible for them?
5. Thanks for your advice and guidance.

Grreetings All.

Please kindly help me.

1. I live in France and would like to apply for a visa for my mum from Nigeria. She has visited once in January 2020.

2. However, I would also like to apply for a UK visa for her so that we can go to the UK for a short visit from France.

3a. Which is better? To apply for the UK visa from Nigeria or France?
3b. Is it necessary to include in the UK application that one of her daughters (my younger sister) lives in the UK ? My sister has nothing to do with this visit. It's purely I (Nigerian passport, so I'll also apply from France. I have had 4 visas so far), my husband (French) and my daughters (French passport).

4. I hope to apply for her visa for France for arrival in January.

5. Thanks for your guidance.

Greetings.
Thanks for your feedback.

1. What level of nursing were you admitted into (BSc, Masters??)?
2. Did you have any nursing background in Nigeria ?
3. What are the requirements please?
4. What university is that?

Thanks

whuzmhan:
Dear Nursing applicants,
Here is a list of questions I was asked during my interview before the admission:
*I was asked about my personal experience, as stated in my Personal statement
*I was given case studies and asked few questions based on that. (How I would react in such situation)
*I was asked to talk about a time i had an argument with someone
*I was asked about leadership qualities and how well I have performed in such role (based on my CV)

Someone else I got know was asked different questions, like
*A story on why he chose to study nursing (from personal statement)
*Whether he has ever taken care of a sick person or vulnerable person

My advice,
*Please read the NHS policies, the 6Cs of NHS, NHS code and NHS values. These helped me appropriate give answers to the questions
*Read about recent trend in UK Nursing - latest happenings in UK Nursing
*Know your personal statement very well, and if someone else assisted you one way or the other, learn how to personalize it.
*Read about your school and know why you chose the school. Be interested in the school and know a lot about it

All the best

It's me again.

Is it okay to include in one's visa application that he was denied visa in another embassy?
My inlaw was denied tourist Canada Visa a month or two ago, and he's including it in his UK visa application?
Is it okay, or should he remove that detail?
Thanks.

Hi.
Thanks for your reply.
Both of them have a total of 9M in their account.
They plan to come back.

AGAIN we're trying to look for something more concrete.
I just advised my sister to leave the kids out of this first application, let her and her husband apply alone.
What do you think?

Concerning accommodation, is a mixed hostel acceptable for husband and wife?
Hostels are cheaper. But it's shared bathroom and other facilities.

ozymes:
I don't think you have been going through the posts here. Because if you did, you would have known that evidenced monthly salaries and subsequent disposable monthly income is a key factor. Furthermore, you have N3m in your account and you want a travel budget of N3m to fly? Them nor go chop when dem come back? Abi dem nor want come back ni?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by jesuisroya: 9:08pm On Nov 30, 2019
Good evening all.
It's me again.
I've been going through the posts and the my question is explaining the funds in one's account.
My Sister and her husband want to build travel history and would like to travel to the UK THIS CHRISTMAS for seven days (DEC 28th to JAN 5).
My sister earns like 4M par annum and has a balance of about N3M in her account
Her husband earns about N120K per month and has a balance of N6M
Actually, some of the deposits in his account are for a friend who's abroad, that gives him some money to keep.

Their budget for the christmas trip is almost N3 million and they're willing to pay.
Flight for 2 kids and 2 adults
Hotel for the four
Feeding, etc.

What do you advice? Do you think they should all go together or only the wife should go first then later they both apply together?
Or in what order do you think they should plan the trip.

PLEASE HELP US cos they've already filled the application.

Hi.
Congrats on you and your wife's visa and thanks for sharing.
Can you please tell why you were rejected the first time?
And what you should have done?
I have a sister and she is currently applying for her husband and two kids age d 6 and 4 for end of this year.
My sister earns about N200K per month
And her husband like N120K
They have about N6M in their bank accounts differently.

I would like to know how best to advise her.
PLEASE TRY AND REPLY.
THANKS A LOT
